Overall, service was very good during my trip. My room itself was standard but comfortable. I like that you are able to opt out of daily housekeeping in exchange for a drink voucher at their bar. Wish this was more common in the US! The hotel breakfast buffet is also very good. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it gives you everything you need to start your day right. The parking garage has a few narrow areas, which made parking with our seven-seat rental van a little difficult. Shouldn't be a problem if you have a standard sized vehicle. My colleagues and I really enjoyed our stay, and I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Stuttgart.

There were not a lot hotel choices but this one was close to the base a friend lives on and we wanted to be close. When we checked in it seemed to go fine. We got our key and the front desk wrote down our room number. She then told me the room number and I told her she said a different number than the one written down. She said the one she told me was right so we took our key and bags and went up to the room. When we opened the room, we found a guy jumping out of the bed, completely shocked. We apologized profusely and backed out. When I went downstairs, the manger came over and asked what happened. I told him and he said that we went to the wrong room. I advised that I understand that but we were told the wrong number. He argued that the right one was written down. I said okay but they key worked for the room she said and he just started getting angry with me and saying it was my fault. But if it was my fault, why did the key work? They were so rude about it. I also put two people on their serration apparently but there was my nephew. I had forgotten to include him and they got rude about it and charged me additional fees for him. I was okay with it. It was a mistake when I was searching for hotels but he was really rude about it. We ended up needing to stay another night and I put all three the second night but when we got to our room still didn't have enough towels so I don't understand it. Also, this is incredibly close to the train. They had the heat on. We could not turn on the A/C so we slept with the window open and the trains were very loud. Overall, just not a great stay. The staff are subpar and act like you are the issue when they create problems. Still don't know how the key working on the wrong room was my fault. Only positives, it looks nice, the shower and shower products were nice. They have complimentary water in the room and a bar downstairs.

Unfortunately, my most recent stay at Motel One Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (From the 23rd June 2025) was an absolute nightmare due to a bed bug infestation. After going to bed early due to an early flight, I woke up during the night and noticed dark marks on the pillow. When I turned on the main light, I discovered the bed was infested with large bed bugs (I have photos). At first, I wasn't even sure what they were because of their size, and I worried that they could be ticks. It was ~1am when I went to reception who gave me a new room, but no guidance on how to handle the situation or prevent spreading the infestation. I'd already unpacked my suitcase on the bed, had clothes on the floor, and had to pack everything up in the middle of the night, exhausted and worried. I took precautions myself by showering, changing clothes I'd worn in the bed bug bed, and keeping my stuff away from the new bed. The next day, after researching and speaking with colleagues, it became clear they were bed bugs. However, things got worse after I returned home to the UK: - My partner and I both developed new, painful, itchy bites for a couple of weeks afterwards. - We endured sleepless nights and a constant sense of disgust and paranoia for thinking more and more bugs were appearing due to the number of bites that kept appearing. - We had to turn our entire bedroom upside down, wash and steam-clean everything (including hiring a steamer), and I had to dispose of my luggage and clothing from the trip for fear of releasing any more bugs into our home. Despite all of this, Motel One's response has been to deny responsibility. They claim the room was inspected beforehand and that I must have brought the bed bugs in myself - an outrageous and insulting suggestion. It's impossible for a guest to cause a full-blown infestation within a few hours of arrival, especially for the bed bugs to be the size they were. I could've accepted this as an unfortunate one-off incident if Motel One had handled it properly with an apology, accountability, and some form of compensation. Instead, their response has been dismissive and defensive, shifting blame onto me. My warning to future guests: do not stay at this hotel. Clearly, rooms are not properly inspected, and when things go wrong, Motel One will not take responsibility. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, they will try to deflect and blame the customer.

The rooms are modern, colorful and even though they are small, the space is very efficient. They are also very clean. The bathroom is also small but ergonomic. The breakfast buffet has a lot of delicious options, ranging from sweet to savory. The hotel also has a nice internal garden where you can sit for a drink or meal and relax.

How is the average rating here not higher?…read more The staff that greeted us were very friendly and professional. The lobby area and restaurant are nice and presented well. I had dinner in the restaurant which is a tad pricey but the food was good. I had a gin & tonic and Maultaschen. We had the junior suite for our room. Very spacious and looks just as nice as the photos online. The bathroom is beautiful! BEAUTIFUL! There's a couch, coffee table, like 4 chairs and a desk. Coffee machine and mini bar as well, if you're into that. The view was alright. Not much to see in Stuttgart by the airport. Haha. You also get better WiFi in the suite since they give you a different log in. The room was really nice and was clean. Great value for the price! The only thing I didn't like is that the TV is mounted on a metal pipe in the middle of the room. It's very random and doesn't look good. Parking is a little steep at €15 a night but with the convenient location you can't really complain. I would stay again.

I can honestly say the Marriott Sindelfingen Germany is by far THE WORST Marriott property I have stayed at. However, I want to start this review on a positive note and recognize some very hard working staff in certain sections. Breakfast Buffett: The gentleman at the morning omelet station is super kind and the results of his food are amazing. I can't think of his name at the moment of writing this review but he is the only male cooking in the morning. Bar: Alex the bartender has great customer service skills. He sparks really good conversations and is super helpful with sharing information about the local area. His drinks are always great just overall a great guy. Management: During my stay here, I have had conversations with management about issues during my stay. My most recent conversation was with Juan Carlos. He was very receptive to my comments / criticism of the property. He actually made me feel like he cared and was a great listener and shared with me information that allowed me to understand why certain things were happening. Great management skills. Now for the not so pleasant criticism: Housekeeping: For those of us staying long term, we get cleaning once every 3 days. This is absolutely reasonable. However, they only give you two towels per room for those three days. I am a single person to a room that showers two times a day. Once in the morning after my workout and once before bed. Two towels doesn't cut it for 6 showers. If your going to extend the cleaning period, at least leave enough towels or have a policy in place to do just a towel swap if needed. Next is the shampoo / conditioner / body wash containers. They are affixed to the shower and are full size containers to last a while. On one occasion, I ran out of both shampoo and bodywash. This happened at the day 15 mark. So the containers do last a while. When I ran out, I called the front desk and asked them to please have housekeeping refill the containers. When I got back they were not refilled. I ended up buying my own shampoo and bodywash from the store. The second day before going to work I stopped by the front desk and again asked them to please ensure the containers were refilled. They assured me they would be. When I came back after work, they were again not refilled yet. On the third day, I took the containers off the wall and physically walked them down to the front desk and finally asked to speak to a manager as I was extremely frustrated that it took 3 days to get my containers refilled and only after having to walk them down myself. The manager invited me to a cocktail and had the containers refilled immediately. While I appreciate the cocktail, I want to point out that for 15 days the cleaners had to come to my room at least 5 times, to clean up. During that time, they should have seen that the containers were running low and refilled them. They were not doing that so maybe a policy needs to be put in place that they check the levels of the containers and if they are less than 1/4 full they need to be refilled before the hotel guest has to request it. During my stay, I noticed the housekeeping staff is a third party cleaning company as they do not wear Marriott uniforms and have a different logo on their uniforms. This would explain why there are inconsistencies with the cleaning service. Additionally, this raises some concerns for me because they are third party contractors. Therefore, Marriott doesn't really have much control over these contracted employees or their policies. Additionally, the quality of background checks they conduct on these employees is unknown. While I have not experienced anything negative, I would feel more comfortable knowing Marriott company employees are the ones servicing my room. Executive Lounge: The lounge is accessed using your hotel key. So if you pay for the executive lounge access or you are entitled to access based on your Marriott Bonvoy status your access is granted onto your keycard. My issue is even though I swipe my card and gain entry, there is an employee in the lounge that again asks for your room information. Although minor it just gets annoying because like I have said I have traveled the world for the past 11 years as a platinum member. This is the first lounge that double checks your access. There are waaaay better lounges with better food and drink selections that do not do this. On one occasion, I went in the lounge to just get a glass of water from the water machine. I grabbed a glass and started to walk out when I was stopped by the employee working the lounge. She had zero tact and called attention to me as though I was about to commit the biggest crime. She then proceeded to tell me that I cannot take anything out of the lounge. A glass of water folks!???

Let's start with the good points, the staff is really friendly and willing to help whenever it is needed and possible.The food which we had for lunch and dinner was also good, which is not the fact in every hotel restaurant. But speaking about dinner, the food was fine and the service as well, during the time we were eating ... but after dinner we wanted to have another beer but the waiter never showed up and we were forced to move to the bar (they could have told us to move there and not simply ignoring us, that's rude) My room was on the 6th floor and fresh renovated, clean and modern so everything was fine. Beside the night ... the room was warm as hell, so I turned on the aircondition (19° C) during the night I woke up, still fu..ing warm. I lowered the temperature to 5°C, okay at least I tried to, but didn't work, the aircondition didn't lower the temperature. So last chance open up the window and luckily that it was possible (remember: 6th floor) otherwise the night would have been horrible. Beside that the night was good. Coming to the convention center. The room was big enough to meet with 12 people and I am sure the others have space for more. Unfortunately the place where you are supposed to go during the breaks is way too small to provide space for all participants... But okay, one can handle that. But the problem I had in my room was the same here, aircondition was not working at all and after half of the day the room was warm and nearly all oxygen was gone ... Considering all those points, and yes it is easier to find negative topics instead of positive once, the hotel is still good for conventions or if you are a vistior of one of the near companies. Even if public transportation is near, it's not perfect if you plan to visit Stuttgart downtown (not from my point of view at least)
