She does events and photographs our dogs for our annual calendar, and does some really creative graphic design. I knew of Tammy, but actually had the pleasure of meeting her last month when she photographed my 10 month old foster for the 2011 calendar, a mastiff mix who was not accustomed to sitting still or listening to commands. She did apologize though but she wasn't willing to redo them since that would be a lot more time & money for her. I also didn't notice and point it out to her until 4 days later. I had typed up the list of guests and so she just wasn't careful when looking at the list and doing the calligraphy. I think she was rushing. The names were also not that hard - Michael was spelled Micheal and my best friend Catherine was written with a K (!?!). I would just recommend checking the spelling immediately before accepting the package. I have to say though - the calligraphy was really pretty and you get what you pay for. If I had paid more for a high end calligrapher they probably would have not misspelled as many people or at least would have redone them, but it would have cost a lot more, and I still got a pretty product. Also Sarah was right in that no one noticed, or at least they didn't say anything to me about the misspellings on my wedding day! So it bothered me initially but wasn't everything. Bottom Line: Sweet person, pretty calligraphy, not good at following directions to spell names correctly, and definitely won't correct any of her mistakes at least if you have already paid her.

I have not worked with them personally but I did get the chance to attend the Bean Creative Haunted Maze that they put together every Halloween and I have to say I'm very impressed! They transform their courtyard into a a spooks and gore tour that is kitschy and fun. My eight year old neice shrieked with delight the entire time and even little Yelp baby had fun looking at all the decorations (I'm afraid she's a bit macabre even at 11 months old!). The event is free and open to the public with suggested donations going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As someone who has been in/married to the agency world for over a decade now, this event has left a really positive impression on me. It's no easy feat to put together but I loved how friendly each person I interacted with was and how they were able to bring family members of the staff to help out. This definitely seems like a fun crew and I'd be happy to support them in the future!
