I would love to take a moment out to share with you my wonderful experience with Cynthia and Doug…read moreChristian at Waldorf Signs. Our foundation, "Y-U Breast Cancer Foundation", was all set for our first Road to Recovery Excursion to take a three-time breast cancer survivor on a trip. We were scheduled to get a Class A Motorhome, but two days before the planned trip, we had a set-back. I didn't know what to do, so at the last moment we rented a SUV. I had never done business with Waldorf Signs, and I took the time to stop in, share my sadness about what had just happened and Cynthia was so patient and compassionate about my story. After allowing me to get my cry in, we decided to get some car magnets created to get placed on the SUV so that we could continue with our trip. In less than 48 hours , Cynthia called to tell me the magnets were ready. All I could do was cry of joy. As we traveled for hours(from the Western Shore of Md, to the Eastern Shore of Md and Delaware) in the SUV with the beautiful designed car magnets, people were looking at our beautiful signs and we received "thumbs up" as we traveled. At one point, when stopping to get fuel, a lady came over to us and opened her jacket, to show us that she had on a survivor t-shirt. She shared with us that she recently had undergone a breast cancer surgery and to tell us how inspiring it was for her to see us in the SUV with the beautiful foundation's logo and wording. I give Waldorf Signs a "10". Please consider calling them if you are in the need of signs, or car magnets. They are the BEST!!!! . ~Dee Burrell Founder/CEO Y-U Breast Cancer Foundation

I came in and wandered around for a few minutes. Went up and down a few aisles before I, by myself, spotted the area I needed to be. No store employee asked if I needed any help finding anything. Granted, this isn't a big box store that sales everything, so the staffing numbers aren't as high as those places. However, it would have been nice to be pointed in the right direction without having to waste so much time. I did look over what they had on hand. Unfortunately, what I needed they did not have. I know I could go online to order, but I kind of needed it right then and there. But it is always and hit or miss type of store to visit.

The staff saw the contents, watched me seal the envelope, and processed the shipment. I paid roughly $80 for express service with a guaranteed Tuesday delivery. Days later, the tracking still shows "Label Created." UPS confirmed repeatedly that they never received the package from Staples. That means it was never scanned, never transferred, and never entered the UPS system. When I called the store, the manager was extremely rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility or even attempting to look into the issue, she told me to call UPS--despite the fact that Staples was the last place the package was seen. This is a serious failure in both customer service and package handling. I expected Staples to take accountability for a package they accepted and charged me to ship. Instead, I was met with hostility and zero support. I will not trust this location with any future shipments. In the meantime, I had to launch investigations on both ends which is still in progress, but I'm all in for the fight for justice. They should be mindful that most of the world is dealing with something. A little grace and compassion for others in all we do can go a long way.

I had minutes to spare to secure another available vendor to arrive at an anniversary event boat cruise in time to board and prepare for the event. I bided the job out to several vendors and decided to go with Exquisite Imaging to support my local area. Although $100 over my originally contracted price, it was worth it due to the limited timeframe. I also had to include the photographer as an event guest, so I paid the extra $170 for him to board the ship. He definitely had great energy and fit in well with my guest. Sincerely grateful for the great presence. My only gripe, and it is a very big one for me, is that while in the process of waiting for the link to my event photos, he shared my link with my guest (most unpaid by the way), they were sponsored and their tickets paid for as well (FREE for THEM), just like his. That was not cool at all, and not his call. He only had one customer, that's me the PAYEE! My goal, as mentioned to the photographer, was to build the event book with the digital photos that I paid him to take. Mind you, he shared them without consent. He mentioned that he wanted to make the customers and guest happy. Wait what? There is only one customer that shelled out almost $600 ($400 for the photography job; and $170 for his premium dinner cruise ticket on the Spirit of Washington), a two-hour event to celebrate my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. His obligation was to honor my request. Not go all out and give out my paid for products to others for free. I had not had the opportunity to even review for appropriateness or decide which items I was going to include. Very bad business. "People don't care how much you know, until they know you care." The main request my mother and father had for their anniversary was the photo book. I was livid to say the least. My contract was one-on-one with the photographer...One customer. The pictures were great, but my business experience with him just washed out all of the good from our very short union. I could legally make him accountable for his actions but am choosing not to go that route for the good that was there for a split second. The experience ruined his entire purpose for being there. Done!
