We originally hired Kate to do our newborn photos last year (April 2020), and unbeknownst to us...or anyone, they ended up being canceled because of the pandemic. It was a really hard time for us to be in a pandemic, with a newborn, as new parents, while isolated. Missing out on our newborn photos was a small but nonetheless heartbreaking loss for me. Kate was so graceful and kind, she offered alternatives and came to shoot us (from afar) outside at our home...those photos will be forever memorable. At the recommendation from a friend and after looking at some of the work online (which is beautiful), I connected with Ben from Halo Creative Studios. My daughter was nervous about a professional photo shoot, but both Ben and stylist Shana put her completely at ease. They treated her as a valued client and were very thoughtful about keeping her styling age-appropriate. The studio is stylish and versatile - I can see it working for a variety of clients and Ben is super creative. He has worked with big stars and little ones (my kid is still the little one). I sent them to a friend who had already booked her own newborn photo shoot and she said she regretted putting down a deposit with another photographer because she loved Nicole's style! We don't take a lot of photos and are pretty camera-shy, but Nicole was very helpful and gently guided us on what to do and made us feel free to try out different things.
