The worst customer service i have ever encountered at a business anywhere in new york ! The woman who scanned my fed ex package was so nasty and disrespectful it was unbelievable. I have been living in the bronx all my life and have never experienced such disgusting unjust treatment. How does this person stay employed is what i would love to know. This place can be great or it can be a complete mess depending on who's working. One day you can come and the line is around the aisle because there's not enough workers or they're walking slow. And another day you can come in and they answer aisle calls quickly and you get to pay quickly so it's in and out. My advice is to look at the line as soon as you come in before deciding to shop. read more

Always lines. You're prescription is NEVER ready even if the doctor calls and then you call a day before and the day of. How is this possible? The pharmacist... a joke. The staff is understandably unmotivated given that they are always understaffed and clearly mismanaged. read more

Typical walgreens. When you enter the store your greeted by security with a friendly welcome to walgreens. Generally everything in the store is well organized and neat. However at times items can sometimes be missed placed or placed in the wrong section. The photo area can be very slow and draining. I am not sure why that is I once got a passport photo done and was waiting in that area for quite sometime before I was told I had to pay first. The same thing when I printed out a picture. I was wondering where my picture was at then I was told I had to pay first. The lines in the location are long even when there are three people on register. It's hard to tell if the customer is actually holding them up or not but things tend to go slow. I usually pay for my things within a NY minute. read more

The lack of stock and limited brand names is discouraging. I came here in hopes to pickup white-out correction tape as I am a avid writer for poet and Yelper who uses pen and paper. Shopping aisles are very crammed and narrow. Check-out line moves very turtle slow. I believe Duane Reade carries more options than its parent company Walgreens. This location sits nearby Bronx courthouses of Concourse Village. read more

I feel so bad for the elderly who are forced to use this Walgreens & pharma. It is literally ran like a Gov't Medicaid office. Terrible service sad how ppl of communities of color have to go through this. The pharmacy I used before Walgreens on 3rd Ave closed on November 9,2023 and I was informed via telephone message that my prescriptions will now be sent over to the Walgreens on 161St on the SW corner of Morris Ave. This has been a nightmare of a pharmacy for the past 2 months. I'm currently looking for another pharmacy in my area because the Pharmacy lines are outrageous. Whenever you call the pharmacy you are on hold for more than an hour and then the phone suddenly hang up. Even the nurse had difficulty reaching them on the phone to refill a prescription. read more

HORRIBLE. i Live down the block from this Walgreens, never enough cash registers open and the line extends to the back of the store every single day. The new PHARMACIST SHOWS UP WHENEVER HE WANTS AS CONFIRMED BY THE WALGREENS STAFF. This Walgreens is clean and organized, and the best part is that their prices are more reasonable than other drug store prices. I buy so many convenient, day-to-day items here for great prices. You can also print pictures and get some money via Western Union. It's also close to many food places like Dunkin Donuts, Checkers, Starbucks, and Popeye's. read more

I ordered something from the site online and selected ship to store as I work in the area. It was delivered yesterday morning and I went to pick it up today after work. I told the person why I was there and tried to explain about the shipping but he abruptly cut me off by saying "let me finish". He goes looking and then comes back trying to tell me it probably wasn't in the inventory and it might be available later. Then he rudely asked if it was ship to store and I said yes and he made some nasty comment about that made it different as he demanded my ID. The people working this counter need to realize that if people like me, who work in the area, didn't patronize this place they wouldn't have somewhere to work and make $5.50/hour. And the management needs to embark on some type of sensitivity training so these clerks can learn how to better leave the bullshit behind and do the job their being paid to do; and that is to serve the customers and be friendly when doing so. I definitely will never set foot in this location again because if it's not never ending lines with one cashier, its rudeness. read more

I was excited that a Walgreens was opening in the neighborhood. The only other franchise pharmacy around the vicinity is CVS, which is horrible to begin with. However, that's for another review. I stopped by to check the store out and after leaving, I came out with mixed reviews about the place. - Cleanliness & Organization, 5 Stars. I expected this to be the case as it's brand new location and has recently opened. I would have to return at a later date to see if Walgreens is still worthy of 5 stars for this category. - Waiting Line - 2 Stars. Unlike other Walgreens and Duane Reades, there was no placement to show where the cashier waiting line is. So as a result, there was a line that can't really be a "line" as it was all over the place. CVS has the same problem and I hope it's something they will resolve. - Cashier - 1 Star. The woman wasn't polite at all! If the receipt provided the name of the cashier, I would have certainly mentioned it as a word of caution to others. After scanning my items, she asked if I had a Walgreens card, to which I replied Yes, I do, one second. As I pull out my phone so it can be scanned, as I do with all other Walgreens and Duane Reade locations, she says rudely, just put in the phone number. I say, I have the app ready, you can just scan it real quick here. She proceeds to scanning it and while I'm paying via my debit card, she bags my purchase and literally just throws it onto the counter and gives me a face basically saying "f**k you*. There was no reason for her to do this at all. - Overall Service - 2 Stars. Before getting to the rude cashier, the "line" was getting quite long. It went from 3 available cashiers down to 2, because apparently it was more important to welcome people into the store than ensuring a satisfying and speedy service to all their customers. I will definitely come back at a later time and see if the place changes, but as I see it now, it looks like it will just turn into another horrible CVS with the exception of belonging to a different franchise. read more

Typical Walgreens. You can get what you need but don't expect it to be quick. The line is really slow and the staff seems to hate life. Even though this place is directly on 161 I still prefer the CVS in the mall. read more
