Love the location of this target, very accessible, plenty of parking, and ample space to enjoy shopping. They have an optical (which was easy to make an appointment, be assessed, and purchase glasses). If you want service on your phone, you can easily connect to the wifi. Very disappointed!!!! Came to this location with my mom who needs the seated cart. I asked an employee where I could find them and the nonchalant I don't care attitudes were horrible. Actually unbelievable. Maybe because your legs work just fine. Two of the carts were dead. I asked another person if someone was in charged of charging the chairs and the attitude was ridiculous. They raised thr voice with "I'm not in charge, I just work in this section go ask someone else over there in customer service". Im just shocked at the attitude shown to me. I'm glad the Targets in CT. aren't like this! The prices were higher than in CT. As well. A lot of stuff was out of stock. I didn't get to have an encounter w/ any of the employees. This targets store policy is to steal from its customers. I went to buy dog food which was advertised at a price on the shelf. I went to pay for it and it scanned at a different higher price. I asked to speak with a supervisor who verified the price and said that she could only give me 20%, which was more than the advertised price. I informed her and showed her that NYS law dictates that the merchant must abide by the advertised price. She could care less and referred me to a "manager" - Shenequa. She iterated the same false store policy to me as did another male "manager". They further stated that, "Target is a private company and does not have to follow NYS law" - That real. This store actually believes that they do not have to follow the law. The tv section has about 20 advertised signs posted with about 10 tvs on display. I asked the sales associate which sign corresponds with what tv. He couldn't tell me. I believe this is done intentionally to deceive their customers. This Targets store policy is to lie to its customers; steal form its customers every single day. I filed a complaint with their customer relations, a waste of time. I filed a complaint with the department of consumer and worker protection, and I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Someone needs to educate these people so they can do the right thing and stop stealing from their customers! read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Target's delivery service. I ordered Bobbie's Sensitive Baby Formula at 9 PM, expecting delivery by 9 AM the next morning. Instead, I received a message saying my order was canceled due to "store issues." When I called customer service, I was shocked to learn that the Jackson Heights store didn't have bags, so the delivery driver (JB) canceled my order without even calling me to ask if I still wanted the formula! As a result, I was left with no food for my baby, who cried for four hours straight because he was hungry. I am not breastfeeding, so this order was essential. Target's incompetence caused unnecessary stress and frustration, and their lack of basic problem-solving is unacceptable. While they refunded my money, that doesn't fix the major failure in their service. A company as big as Target should never let something as simple as a lack of bags prevent a customer from receiving essential baby supplies. This experience was beyond frustrating, and I won't trust Target's delivery service again. DO BETTER. read more

Before covid i would have given this target about a 2/3 stars. I was very wary of coming here during the pandemic because of how bad the checkout lines used to be. The workers here are lazy especially in the pick up department. I had so many problems with my pick up order and the girl at the exchange department was not motivated at all to help me. No drive or effort whats so ever. Had to cancel a few of my orders after saying everything was "ready".She asked me to go fetch something when thats HER job to replace the items I needed. Then they didn't even have the paper towels I needed. And to top it off I lost a coupon. Wasn't worth the trip, I could've gone to the one on 225th. read more

The worst service ever I went to buy body wash bubble bath, Epson salt and facial cleanser. All of the facial cleansers are locked in huge cabinets, and there are several new cabinets where they keep other items locked up. I asked seven employees for the key. I waited one hour. I cannot believe that and none of these employees had the key and each time the employee got on a walkie-talkie and asked for help no one came. This is ridiculous, so I put everything back I will spend my money where people help. read more

What can I say, it's a perfect replica of every single Target that's out there. Best times are off-peak hours, basically little to no lines at Checkout or Returns. If you do happen to shop during prime time hours, the cashiers do their best to cash you out efficiently. We also now have self-checkout, which I'll only use if no one's ahead of me. If there are a few people ahead of you, you risk the chance of that someone who's unfamiliar with the self-checkout process, so your wait ends up taking longer than it should. The minus of off-peak hours is the possibility of an item not being re-stocked as of yet, but lucky for me I try not to wait until the very last minute to pick up certain items I need, so no major inconvenience here. All and all, I love Target as well as the next person. WiFi and phone reception had been horrible, but they seem to have fixed that problem recently. And for this, it hasn't been a hassle for me to use their app, Cartwheel, to get additional discounts on My Cartwheel items. If you currently don't use their app you should, a little discount here and there never hurt anyone. read more

The shelves are almost always empty, customer service is terrible, merchandise is not displayed well and store seems to be an absolute mess most of the time. I was excited when this Target opened a couple of years ago - before that I had to go either to the one in Marble Hill (too out of the way) or Mount Vernon (the parking lot is a nightmare from hell). That being said, this Target, as well as the shopping center it anchors, was a welcome addition to this previously undeveloped area of Throggs Neck. Target is one of those stores I go to not really looking for anything specific. I may have one or two things in mind, but for the most part I let things find me. If I have time to kill I'll just walk through the aisles, browsing at all the tchotchkes and such. This may sound random but I'm a fan of their shopping carts - they're smooth and quiet, such a delight to push. This particular Target has a grocery section that carries a good amount of natural/organic merchandise so I'll end up picking up one or two things from there at the very least. Phone reception *used* to be a major issue, but since they installed Wi-Fi I've had no problems. It's definitely better to come here off-peak, the crowds and check-out lines are much more manageable. The keyword there is manageable - because even without crowds, I don't understand the placement of Target's checkout registers. The fact that they have two rows of registers on top of each other just confuses me, my struggle is real. Overall, this is a solid Target - big, open, pretty well stocked, and infused with the scents from the concession stand. Stop in, grab some Starbucks, push a smooth cart, and shop away. read more

Just sent the following feedback to Target: The Bronx Throggs Neck store, albeit the closest to my home, is no longer MY STORE!!! This now makes more than once that I am submitting feedback regarding the inadequacies of this location. And I'm furious. I want something to change. Because it's not fair that the Target closest to me is the worst one I've ever entered. It just isn't. I previously commented on the lack of inventory. That's still the case. But here's something new. Last night I placed my first pick-up order for items already in the store. I was excited about trying this new service. Like having a personal shopper without the expense. All the items I was looking for weren't at the College Point location. I chose this location for the pick up because I just sensed the service wouldn't be the same at the Bronx Throggs Neck Target. Nothing else is the same at that Target. I didn't want to pick up the bulk of my order there. So I went to College Point, a location I have previously remarked is far superior to my local Target. I work on that side of the Whitestone Bridge so it wouldn't be too much trouble. My pick up experience was glorious. The customer service area is maintained in an orderly fashion. Orders for pick up are kept out of sight in the back. While one customer was picking up their order, another employee made her way down the line to make sure the next customer was being taken care of simultaneously. My order was large and since it was my first time doing this, I chose to take a beat and double check that I had received my entire order. I did. What a fantastic first experience!!! Then I made my way home. I had only 5 items to pick up at Throggs Neck. Five compared to like the 20 other items I picked up at College Point. Instead of the coconut oil I ordered I got a can of coconut milk. A dented can at that. Then I had to stand there, all in all approximately 15 minutes, while someone went looking for the correct item. Instead of just getting that one item, the person chose to fulfill other orders simultaneously. I was fully prepared to abandon the order altogether. I could have very well just done the shopping myself in half the time and picked up the correct items. What is supposed to be a convenient and helpful service is a painful chore at Throggs Neck. It didn't help that the customer service area looks like it was hit by a tornado. The bulk of pick up orders are in plain sight and are so overwhelmingly disorganized, it made waiting all the more difficult. I had nowhere to stand. If I moved to one side, I was in the way of the pick up area. If I moved to the other side, I was in the way of the line for returns. I felt like a trapped rat. Please do something. Change the manager. Increase the inventory. You can shut it down and revamp the whole thing for all I care. Please make my local Target a place I choose to run to. Not run away from! The Bronx deserves no less than any other NYC borough! read more

If you're shopping for clothing at this location, I'd stop in Monday through Wednesday from 8am to 11am. That's when the department and the store in general is the least busiest. You'd probably get the most guest attention from Team Members during those times anyway; plus that's when they have the most inventory. read more

The employees are pleasant and helpful. But I have major issues with this location. They removed all of the beauty lines dedicated to dark skin. They were there one day and gone the next. The beauty industry is going through an overdue if slow movement towards inclusivity and representation, and this Target has gone in the opposite direction. My biggest problem, however is with their grocery section. There products on the shelf are often way past the expiration date. For example, I went in last night 10/14 and noticed that some cans on the shelf expired back in May, and some in September. I was grossed out thinking about all of the cans I had purchased in the past from this location without checking the date. I had already learned the hard way to avoid their dairy section. Even if the food is not past expiration, my husband and I have still gotten sick on more than one occasion from their milk and half and half. Perhaps the items aren't kept at safe temperatures. read more

I really like that there's a Target nearby, and I really want to love this location. But despite the fact the store is so big, each aisle have rather limited stocks of products. This is especially true with hair and beauty supplies section. Please improve the hair product selection and clean the displayed products please. Today I found some dark orange droplets which looked like dried blood, and some product tops had dried grimes on it. I went today to purchase cantu leave in conditioner tub I bought from here on regular basis, but it was nowhere to be found today. Really nice Target. Has a large selection of everything you can imagine and has great prices - like most targets do. While there I saw an cracked watermelon that was clearly going bad, that was pretty gross. I was coming to this target specifically to buy some black hair care products. The section was completely depleted. Like there was barely anything there. I was looking specifically for shea moisture products. I guess the good news is that they have products for black hair. The bad news is that I'm probably never going to be able to get them. read more

It is a well placed Target with plenty of parking. the problem that I have with it, is that it is not phone friendly. If you venture into the store you are going to lose you cell phone service and will have to use their free wifi service which to me is sub par. I am a husband that hates to write things down and sometimes forgets some of the Items I am supposed to be getting. I would love to be able to call my wife to have my memory refreshed. In this store that will not be possible unless you wonder around the store and find a sweet spot for your phone to work. read more

I went to pizza hut in the target today around 6:25pm, . The girls was giggled together her eyes was too puffy and got smaller that she didn't want to look like Chinese. It was very uncomfortable to stand in front of her with my kids. They looked too busy to talk each other, we just left without buying anything. Ratchetttttt It's completely ridiculous how long the lines wind and how slow it takes to buy something. Nearly 3 out of 4 self service stations are broken and whenever I'm on that line there always seems to be some lady changing her kids diaper on the scanner table. The store itself is pretty clean and the staff is about average. They just don't seem to manage the long lines well. (3 cashiers while they have 10 employees wandering around straightening up the store). Look I'm no retail management expert by any means but i regularly almost fantasize over all the ways I could strangle myself waiting on the damn line, and I'm pretty certain I'm not the only one thinking that way .. read more

I live in Harlem and I will drive to this location versus the one in East Harlem or even the one that is a 10-minute walk from my house at Bronx Terminal. One young lady with my pickup order decided to say that the store didn't have any items that i needed picked up. I went in the store and shopped myself and FOUND EVERY ITEM! This is so ridiculous! This store is huge, impressive and with great staff. The problem is the poor and persistent stocking practices here, especially of grocery items, but of other items as well. We invariably find multiple items on our grocery list to be out of stock regardless of time of day or day of week (so it's not just a freak holiday rush thing.) Available instead may be far more expensive alternatives, Examples of frequent out of stock items are: store brand organic milk (instead, much higher priced Horizon milk is there), store brand lactose free milk (often the one with the desired fat content is missing even if some kind is available), Roma tomatoes ($1,49 / lb, instead there's only $2.99 beefsteak or something even more expensive), veggie protein crumbles, Dannon plain yogurt ($2.79 / 32oz, instead there's umpteen types of greek yogurt or Yoplait - FAR more expensive), other such basic grocery staples, Woolite large containers (only small ones available with much higher unit costs ), double walled water flasks (some smaller Target stores nearby had it, but not this giant store!) Sometimes these stock outs help Target because we are forced to buy the more expensive alternative. But this also means that we often simply avoid visits here and do most of our shopping at other places (when we first saw this nice, huge Target on moving into this area we thought we'll do most of our shopping here. So you're probably having a lot of "lost sales", going by our example). Part of the stock outs here may be due to "ghost inventory" - computer systems showing items in stock even if they are not physically on the shelves, and no one properly physically verifying inventory. Whatever the problem, whoever if responsible for managing inventory and running the store need to step up their act. This store is obviously popular because of its size, location and layout, and can do so much better. read more

I am a target lover!!!! I am in there at least once a week!!! I use their up and up products a lot. We also use up and up formula for the baby so I have a lot of good reasons as to why I am in there every weekend :p. It's clean, it's big, it never feels crowded like the one in 225th (which can really turn me off from going to Target). The lines move pretty quick. They usually have whatever it is I am looking for. I am always using cartwheel, coupons, and I never have an issue. If for whatever reason my coupon can't be process I have never had an issue where a manager won't validated it. Oh Target, how you make me so very happy! There are two Targets near where I live in Queens, but they are a PAIN to get to, especially at rush hour. I've had a bag of clothes to return in my car for a month, and I just can't seem to build up the courage/heart/wasted time to go and do what I need to do. On my way home from the Bronx, I noticed the glowing Target logo in the distance. A Target? Near the Whitestone bridge? But how do I even get there? Well finally last night I tried. 1) There was a gentleman walking the store picking up EVERY piece of any bit of garbage. A clearance sticker on the floor? He's on it! A bit of dirt from outside? He's sweeping it up! 2) I went to return the items I needed to, and with no strange glances, weird looks, gross faces, the incredibly respectful employee returned all my items in seconds. She was efficient, polite, and just lovely. 3) There was room to move! Things were spaced appropriately, you can get a cart through all the clothing racks. 4) EVERYTHING WAS NEAT! The belts were organized, the sunglasses were all in their spots, the boots were all standing up straight on display! This Target is a dream. From now on, I will shop at no other Target. read more
