Terrible...needed RX from Streamwood location...didn't have it for days...switched to Carpentersville on Randall and Binnie...took them a couple of days to get the meds. Went 3 days in a row as it showed the meds were ready but they were closed each day. Very frustrating....it was within hours but no pharmacist and no power. Thought they would be better than Streamwood but they are just as bad. Walgreens has definitely gone down hill!!! read more

Would give zero! Pharmacy takes weeks to get things filled. Use to be great but is terrible now!!! My granddaughter waited 4 days for amoxicillin. A drug that should be on hand but never is there. Terrible. read more

Went here to get picture taken for my passport and I think I may have bothered the clerk because he acted like I was taking up too much of his time. It was awkward taking the pic in front of customers because the screen is right by the batteries so not only am I bothering this kid but a nosy customer had to be right there and watch...that's annoying and I'll probably never shop here again! read more

For general purposes, 3-4 stars. This review is for the Pharmacy. In short DON'T USE THEM. While this was the initial store, Walgreen's business practices in general are broken beyond belief. I apparently have the flu and was prescribed Tamiflu. This needs to be taken within 48 hrs for effectiveness. They were out...OK... but instead of just giving me a list of locations that have it (almost all did except for this one), they leave me a message that it should be back in stock in a FEW DAYS. Way outside the window of effectiveness. As a Pharmacy, they MUST know this and not all patients might; thus potentially endangering their well-being. Completely unacceptable I would hope by any standards. The message went on if you need it sooner -duh- to call which led to an hour long phone goose chase of person after person transferring me. The app also was broken. Confirmed availability at another location but the app says I can't pick up until the morning...so it takes you over 17 hours to prepare a tablet prescription and again too late!!!! This should be at the speed of the internet and quite frankly I should be able to just walk in and have it prepared on the spot. Last time I put my trust in Walgreens was for a Covid Booster. Made an appointment. Arrived on time only to find that even though I had a confirmed reservation for the location, they are aren't even open at that time!! I took off work for this THANKS!!!! I won't make these mistakes again. Meijer Pharmacy made this seamless. Next time I will just start with them. Actually solved the issue before Walgreens even managed to pick up for the third time. No wonder the phone queues are so long when who should be a five year college degreed pharmacist answering the phone can't resolve even basic issues on the first try. Scary that they are mixing your prescriptions. For an interesting read try Googling "Walgreens prescription errors". Walgreens you should be ashamed! If not, there are even more things wrong!!! The checkout worker asked to use my phone as a calculator to figure out how much something should be. I was able to do the math in my head. It was second grade subt. And the pharmacy takes meal breaks when most people need to puck up prescriptions. read more

Employees at the front of the store are nice. It's the pharmacy employees that earned this one-star review. Every time we've called, the phone rings until someone picks it up and puts us right back on hold. The last time they did this four times! We finally had to call the general number and ask a manager to walk back there and tell them to answer the phone. The drive-up is just as bad. We've sat there and watched them help 3-4 people at the counter and never even acknowledge we were there. Management at this store should be embarrassed (and replaced). read more

Slowest pharmacy on planet earth. They are terribly slow. Drive through is beyond slow. Inside is no better. Just bad!

This review is specifically related to the pharmacist. He's very short and does not make eye contact with the customer and he just goes through the motions. He doesn't make me feel very welcome when I come into the store. read more

This location has gotten worse over the years, extremely slow and unhelpful staff. Many instances of them being out of a certain medication only to be notified once we go to pickup. Never anyone at photo and no staff in sight to ask. read more

I used to work for a Walgreens pharmacy, pretty recently actually. I got my flu shot today and also picked up a prescription. I told the girl at the counter I appreciate all their hard work and I know it's not easy. She gave me a dirty look and basically threw the bag on the counter and walked away. I was trying to be nice during these difficult times, because I know they don't have an easy job. Overall, I think the people working here are generally just rude, bitter, and unhelpful. It made me feel bad the way she reacted to me. I'll be using a different Walgreens from now on. read more

I have stage 4 cancer. DO NOT USE THIS STORE THEY JUST DON'T CARE! I was in severe pain and required pain medication. My prescription was called in by my doctor right away. I called on a Tuesday 10/4 and they said they didn't have the medication and the had to order it despite the fact I had been taking the medication since August. I explained, in tears, that I really needed my medication (I had been hospitalized 3 times for pain June, July, and August the person I was speaking having some amount of compassion put the pharmacist on the line. He initially said that I needed to call around and find one of their stores who had the medication and call my doctor to have her to call the prescription in again because it was a controlled substance. My doctor would have done this for me, except they waited until the end of the day to tell me they didn't have it. My doctor had sent the prescription at 8 am that morning, it was after 4 p.m. when they informed me they didn't have it. The pharmacist then said he would see what they had. He came back on the phone and said they had only 41 pills, and my prescription called for 240. He said that the would send a notification to my doctor and inform her that she would have to se another order for the balance of prescription and they would have it in by Thursday. I told him my doctor would do that because she is aware of the awf pain that my cancer caused. I saw my doctor on Thursday and she said they had not sent her the information, but she would resend the prescription right away. She did so while I was in the office at 9 a.m. I received notice from the store that I could pick it up after 1 p.m. This was good, I thought, because I had chemotherapy the same day and feel pretty awful afterwards and was in a great deal of pain. I went to chemo and while I still had the needle in my vei, they called after 3 p.m. to tell me that they not only didn't have my medication but they wouldn't have it until after 4 or 5 on Monday. I called their corporate office and told them what had transpired and they said that someone would get back to me asap. Today is 10/21/22. I still haven't received a return call. I finally asked my doctor to please cancel the prescription at Walgreens and send it to CVS. They took care of me right away and they were kind, caring and understanding. I can't imagine they care if they lose my business, but I had been a Walgreens customer for over 30 years! Today, I called to get a refill on a prescription that I have been taking for over 4 years and I was treated rudely and like I was some sort of drug addict! I advise all do not use Walgreens if you have a dire situation because they really could care less about people and lack any compassion at all! read more

Understaffed pharmacy - felt bad for the employees - not communicating - long line inside and at drive thru - constantly answering phones - concerned about mistakes when they appear to have little time to spend on each prescription. Hope store management sees this and addresses the issue. read more

I am amazed at how horrible this Pharmacy is. Not only have they messed up the same prescription 3 months in a row but this month is the absolute worst. Because I know how much they mess up, I called on Wednesday to confirm that I can renew my prescription on Friday. The woman I spoke to assured me that I could. When I called Friday morning to renew my prescription, I waited on hold for over a half an hour. When somebody finally answered the phone, I renewed my prescription and the woman assured me that it would be filled Friday before 12 noon. The whole day went by and nobody from the pharmacy called me or texted me. So after work I headed to the pharmacy. Getting to the pharmacy at almost 5 in the evening, my prescription was not ready. When I asked why it was not ready, I was told that they knew at 11 a.m. that it could not be filled because it was a date early. I told them that two separate people on two separate days assured me that the prescription could be filled on Friday. And when I called on Friday to renew it, I was assured it would be renewed that day by noon. And I asked the woman why nobody calls me if they knew at 11 a.m. that it could not be renewed. If somebody had called me earlier in the day I could have called my doctor and had my doctor call them to tell them to renew it a day early. Her response to why nobody called me was that they were busy. So this is the third month in a row that several people working at the same Pharmacy have messed up the same prescription. I have to catch a plane Saturday. So because of their screw up I don't know when I'm going to get my prescription or if I'm going to be in another state when I run out of the little amount I have left. I don't understand how a pharmacy can be so consistently horrible and they keep their jobs. read more

Gave them 1 star because giving them no stars or negative stars is NOT an option! What is an option though - is for the Customer to drive to any other pharmacy or any other Walgreens location!! STAY AWAY from this one!!! They have NO IDEA what customer service is not how to provide it!! Ive gone there 3 different times over the past year & each time I left without making my purchase because of their lack of customer service, and normally I don't cut someone down / but in this case I have to agree with other reviews where they state the staff is unintelligent!!! They are!!! I don't know if it's managements rules making the cashiers unintelligent or if it's just the staff as a whole!! They don't know how to follow coupon policies & they don't even bother to read a coupon before stating "we can only take 1 coupon" really?? One?? Because the manufacturer which issued the coupon clearly stated a maximum of FOUR IDENTICAL COUPONS can be used! So who are these people to state otherwise?? Oh wait, guess they just don't care about the customer, don't know how to follow coupon policies, or they want to increase their profitability by forcing customers to only use 1 coupon! My recent visit, and my last until it's under new management / I intended to use 4 coupons - the cashier told me "I can only take one per transaction" um! NO! If you read it, then it says you can take up to 4 per purchase which means per item being bought! Which means, if I had done what she said, I would have to pay over $12 instead of $6 had she accepted the coupons!! Nice try! So I went to another Walgreens & used all 4 in the same transaction! I also reported the incident to their corporate office! read more

There isn't often a long wait at this pharmacy, which is nice. If there is a line the staff is quick to get people checked out. Last time I was there I could hear the staff behind the pharmacy counter complaining about how they were sent to this location for the day because someone else didn't want to drive there. Swearing. I thought it was unprofessional. However that being said, there is always ONE happy, friendly and pleasant girl at the pharmacy counter: Kaylee. I made sure to look at her name tag the last time I was there because I always have a good experience when she helps me. You know, one of those people you can just tell really enjoys her job and is a genuinely happy person. The staff at the main checkout is usually very nice. I'm not sure of the older gentleman's name who is there on a daily basis, but he is ALWAYS so friendly and chatty. He is always sure to call you by name after you enter your rewards information. Same goes for the woman who generally runs the cosmetic counter during the day...chatty and pleasant! read more
