I really like this Walgreens. It's conveniently located on Ashford in the heart of Condado and kind of a hub of activity. It's best to come here during the week and avoid weekends (if possible) because it gets busy. If you want food items, they are in back and down the stairs. Alcohol in back as well. It's almost like two different stores with the front being newer looking. I also had the opportunity to use their pharmacy. The wait wasn't long and the pharmacist was really nice. This place is a lot bigger than the CVS across the street with much more of a food selection. Prices though are comparable. read more

This Walgreens has a big parking lot, but also is not really patrolled by either security or Walgreens employees. There was a homeless person accosting visitors at the entrance and when exiting. Additionally there were long lines at the pharmacy. Luckily the drive thru window was expedient and helpful. The groceries at this location were limited - random odds and ends can be found here. They had a good assortment of tchotchkes/souvenirs for family/friends back home at better prices than the tourist traps in the historic area or Condado. read more

This is the place to buy liquor at a reasonable price and water. We had an issue getting a 24 pack of water at other Bodegas. They all wanted to charge by the bottle. The majority of the places also only carry purified water. We ended up only paying 3.99 for a 24 pack. The prices can't be beat. We ubered back with our loot in hand. Winning on vacation. read more

This Walgreen's was a go-to store during my San Juan vacay. I stayed a few blocks away and stopped in every day for something. They have a decent selection of food (including fresh fruit and many frozen foods), souvenirs, liquor, and coffee - all of which was relatively inexpensive - in addition to all the usual Walgreen's merchandise. This location is open 24 hours. The employees were friendly; I feel the later evening/night staff wasn't extremely fluent in English but it was not a problem. Apple Pay is accepted at this location. The store was always clean and organized when I was here. This Walgreen's is great spot for the tourist who forgot essentials and also to pick up snacks/beverages and little souvenirs while in Condado. read more

Came here a few times for cereal, sunscreen, milk, snacks, and other necessities for our PR trip. My advice is do NOT go here for souvenirs because they hiked up the price for cups! $5.99 , I was like oh, this is cheap. Then I go to a souvenir shop a few doors down and the same exact cup was $3.99. Foiled. The nice thing I will say is that this one cashier who rang us up told us she could not sell the milk because of some technical stuff with the fridge. read more

Same as the USA locations with some different local products. Prices on par with US locations as well! If you're staying at a hotel, you have to go here to stock up on snacks and liquor. It was quite the relief after the sticker shock of hotel shop prices. We bought some Rum, and it was 1/2 the price of our hotel! Very clean and organized in there! Pharmacist was great , very accommodating , compared to cvs pharmacist which gave us a run around ! The wall green pharmacist helped us to get a prescription from my doctor in Los Angeles and gave me the step to step instruction to fill my Meds , compared to the pharmacist across the street ( cvs) which she did not even bother to talk to me! Across the street from a CVS, this Walgreen's shares certain attributes with its competitor. It's open 24 hours, it has a small souvenir section and it has most of what you would see in a stateside store. However, all store signs I saw were in Spanish only. Most of the staff I encountered spoke little or no English. This was not a big problem, just something to be aware of. It didn't stop me from patronizing and appreciating this store. read more

Better than the CVS across the street. There is a second store within it. You gotta go towards the back of the main store to find it. They sell beer too. Prices are pretty fair. Good security there too. They do a better job with managing the panhandlers. Not picking on the unfortunate ones, but when they are drugged out, and half asleep in front of the entrance, it's not a good scene. read more

This place gets a lot of business because of its proximity to hotels and beaches. Its really a great store packed full of whatever you may want or have forgotten. They even had a basket full of USB to IPOD cables (i didn't need one). What's interesting is that they are a split level, so just as you think you got the the end of the store...WAIT there's more! This Walgreens is huge! They have a separate supermarket section so you can stock up on supplies (beer, soda, chips) before heading to the beach. The sunscreen is right by the front door, in case you are looking for it. The magazine selection is poor, especially if you want one in English. We went here a few times while staying at the Marriott across the street. We even bought champagne for NYE from here, can't beat the $5 Andre! Haha. read more

Can you say the best Walgreens ever? What do you need, name it....no seriously, name it! Maybe it's Tylenol, beer, flip-flops, an apple, tampons, liquor and it's 3 am. No problem. This Walgreens is 24 hours of amazingness and in a great location in Condado! Oh yeah, they also have a pharmacist on staff 24 hours as well, so if you left a prescription at a Walgreens at home, you can probably pick it up here. Hands down, the MOST FUN Walgreens ever! We have them all over here in Rhode Island, and we even have beaches, but we don't have rum, fiesta music and baby Tylenol all in the same place. The employees were great. It felt like we practically lived there. We stayed down the street at Sandy Beach Hotel and were there every day practically. I even managed to fit a toy for $5.00 that I purchased on Black Friday in my diaper bag on two flights home--a PlaySchool plastic beehive lantern thing. So cute! The weather there helps people to love working there I think. We miss it there! read more

One's of the Condado's longest surviving stores (since it opened during the 1960s) this is one of the few business that are opened 24 hours on Avenida Ashford. Close to the Marriott Stella Maris, the store has mainly goods that cater to those going to the beach or staying at hotels (snacks, soda). The store's grocery department doesn't have too many healthy snacks, which was a bummer. Nice to stop by if you require something at the wee hours of the morning or if heading to the beach, but I've seen better Walgreens in my life. Store needs a total revamping of its' interiors to give it a more modern, friendlier feel. read more

I've been coming to the Condado for over 30 years, Walgreens was always our go to place and the first stop on our excursions but after today I will be breaking up with Walgreens, and how convenient is it that a brand new CVS is kitty corner from you Walgreens. I found something I wanted to buy and proceeded to check out, and of course I know the cashier knows her customer and go ahead take your time, talk for 10 minutes, catch up, shoot the shit, I'm still looking at the stuff behind the counter anyway, and there is another customer in front of me so I get a little closer to her space because I can't read the label on the bottles, and she (the customer) proceeds to rudely lecture me about how I'm supposed to be behind the line and she doesn't appreciate me crowding her. Then she and the cashier proceed to talk about me and my mom like we're those ugly American tourists everyone talks about, and like we don't know Spanish, so boom that's it I can't take it, I drop everything on the counter and walk out. It's over Walgreens. My dad my grandmother my family is from San Lorenzo we come here to feel that orgullo, that love for everything thing Puerto Rican, but look if you don't want us coming here from the mainland, and you don't want my business, or my money keep being rude to your clientele then, because CVS here I come.
