Pharmacy is so slow. It takes almost a week and many times calling to remind before a prescription is filled every time.

I was in your store at 151Northwest Highway, in Crystal Lake, IL. As I was walking up to the register, struggling with my walker, having had 12 back surgeries. The disheveled and sloppy "associate" behind the counter, watched as my hands were full, struggling to get to the counter , struggling to manuver my walker and items to the counter. She just kept starring at me I don't believe she owns a comb or toothbrush. She was acting completely obvilious to my struggle. By the way, my car couldnt start, and had to walk home. She is an embarrassment to your 'company'. I just had 12 back surgeries, with no option other than walk. I have my receipt, At 10:58 A.M. The past two fills, times, my doctor, at my request, was kind enough to call my meds one week in advance because they NEVER have the full quantity. I thought one week should give them enough time to order my meds. WRONG! Because they don't properly do their job, the meds cost $210.00 for two months. The full amount is free. Because they don't do their job, I HAVE to pay for partial fills. Makes NO sense! As I make $200.00 WEEKLY on disability. WHY do I have to do THEIR job?????? And, when I DO call to check the status of my meds, I am treated as if I don't matter. Absolutely horrible service and time expectations for their pharmacy. I was told 45 mins to get three prescriptions for my wife after she had surgery. I came back and they made a mistake and it was going to be much longer. The Pharmacy here is completely disorganized and Walgreens has lost the customer service they once had at this store. Ultimately the got it figured out but my wife was home on her own while I tried to get everything she needed and not comfortable with her pain when I got home. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. It was 1:02pm, and all 3 employees at the counter saw we were next in line and said that they are now on meal break and can help us in 30 minutes. We only had a pickup order with free covid tests that was already processed and ready, yet they REFUSED to service us. Absolutely pathetic and disgusting customer service. If you have an issue or need help don't bother asking the manager or store manager go straight to corporate- they will resolve the issue and will show genuine care. The store manager is too busy to talk to people and is a bully. Not a nice person. Walgreens is suppose to be a place of "be well and be healthy" Corporate is the way to go!! They care!!! read more

My first experience with this pharmacy should have been my last. I walked in to pick up my scripts and the pharmacist came over to loudly announce the list of meds I was receiving, and what they were for. That would have been perfectly okay, if I were to have asked him, but I did not. He might've well as gotten on the loud speaker to do so, as there was a long line of people waiting behind me to hear it all, screw my HIPPA rights I guess. All and all it was incredibly embarrassing. As of recently they have messed up refilling my scripts 2x, and whenever I try to call and get updates I'm greeted with some how a different incredibly rude person each time. Absolutely the Worst Pharmacy in the Area. Dropped off Prescription Yesterday was told it would be ready in 2 hours. It was very hot & I wasn't feeling well so I did not go back to pick it up. This morning came to pick up my medicine they said there was a insurance issue come back at 4 or 4:30. It's 7:30 pm and I am Still waiting. I am going to Transfer all of my medication to a different pharmacy this Location Lies to it's customers. I don't have time to deal with this pharmacy I am done after waiting 2 days. This is one of the worst Walgreens that I've ever been to. Their pharmacy is consistently slow and twice I've had a problem with my prescriptions. Trying to avoid having to go to Good Shepherd Immediate Care today, I made an appointment at the Walgreens clinic. About 10 minutes past the scheduled time of my appointment they brought me into the room to check me in and process my copay. When I indicated that I was here due to painful urination, she returned my ID and insurance card and sent me packing. Apparently they only treat female UTIs and not males. No mention of that on the mobile app when I made the appointment. Off to Good Shepherd I go... Should have just went there to begin with! read more

They turned away a 5yr old girl in terrible ear pain because they claimed her grandma with a valid medical power of attorney didn't have one of there's on file. Told us to take her somewhere else. A couple minutes after signing up on the kiosk for the clinic, somebody come out and sticks a sign across the kiosk screen "Sorry we are unavailable. We will be back soon." And tells me the nurse practitioner generally takes lunch from 1-2 and now I'm stuck here. No sign anywhere. The only sign says 9am-7pm, not 9am-1pm, 2pm-7pm. This is crappy for the patients and crappy for the staff. First it means the staff works a 10 hour day with just a lunch break, and for patients there's no coverage during that time and it is communicated poorly. read more

I sat in line to pick up a prescription for an awful cough and sore throat. I was in terrible pain. After an hour waiting I was then told they were out. She disappeared for 5 minute then comes back and said I would have to go to a different town to pick up MY prescription. I told them no I will go across the street to CVS. This site's pharmacy is the worst I have ever dealt with. The last two prescriptions have had issues. Today a prescription was called in at 1:00. At 4:30 I called and spoke with a pharmacist who said it was ready. We go to pick it up only to find out they didn't have and never called the doctor to get a substitute. I'm just about through with my patience with walgreens. I am incredibly irritated with the way this company is run. I am a regular customer at walgreens pharmacy (at a specific location which I'm going to withhold for my own privacy) and not only do they "forget" to order my expensive (for them) prescriptions (which I've been coming to them for for seven years now), but every time I come by, they haven't got what has been ordered in stock, and they won't tell me on the phone whether it's there or not (liability issues??). I'm a patient with not one but two painful and debilitating conditions. It's not easy for me to make the trek out in ten degree weather just to potentially (not only potentially, but likely-given their track record with ordering my meds) be told that they don't even have what I need in stock, which inevitably leads to me driving to every single Walgreens in northern Illinois just to check and see who MIGHT have the medications in stock. The odd thing is that I've been told numerous times when I have called that they do have my meds and I can come by and get them. Apparently the decision of whether or not to even let me know over the phone if they have my medication in stock is wholly arbitrary. Perhaps it's an attempt at keeping Walgreens' clientele on their toes, but it's a hit or miss thing. I could call one month and they'll be happy to let me know that they have my refill in stock, but I could call another month and they'll tell me they can't let me know whether they have it at all and that I'll just have to chance it and come by. This seems awfully strange to me. It really does. Let's not even mention the fact that I tell them my name, give them my phone number--the call is recorded for heaven's sake. It's not like I'm planning the worst robbery ever and am going to come in and rob them blind of birth control and fibromyalgia medication-okay? I frankly don't know anyone that stupid, and if you do, kudos to you. You're special. Please Walgreens, take all of my personal information (when I call), so that when your store is robbed of the exact medications I've been ordering from you FOR YEARS--on the exact day that I come in most months for them (when they're actually in stock, that is), you'll know it's me...because people who have valid prescriptions for the medications that they need and take them as directed tooootallly do that. Seriously...I doubt that cancer patients and lupus patients and ms and fibro and endo patients are lining up to raid Walgreens' shelves of medications which we are duly prescribed (even if we were all feeling well enough to do so). But, just in case Walgreens, JUST IN CASE, why don't you go ahead and do everything within your power-in fact, everything humanly possible to make it more difficult for patients with severe illnesses to have access to the medications they're being prescribed? Why not? What could possibly go wrong? Ri-diculous. Walgreens may as well move their corporate headquarters to Switzerland like they had planned to awhile back and while they're at it, they can go ahead and take their pharmacies with them. Maybe the Swiss enjoy being treated as less than valuable customers.... All sarcasm aside, there is something seriously wrong with this picture. Visiting Crystal Lakes for the weekend and ran in to grab contact solution. I couldn't find it so I stopped the first employee I saw to ask for help. The gentleman was happy to assist and very welcoming. He walked the store with me until I found what I was looking for and went the extra mile to grab a sample size for me from the eye clinic when he found out all I was really looking for was the case that accompanied the solution. When I asked for his name to thank him it turns out he was the doctor at that location and not a regular employee but was still happy to help me out. From the minute I walked in the door, every single Walgreens employee greeted me and asked if they could help me. I went because my daughter was sick and i was taking her to the clinic. The lady at the pharmacy helped rush us through the sign in process--very cognizant that my daughter felt lousy and wanted to get home. The health professional examining her was just as kind and courteous. Once we were done, the lady proceeded to make sure our RX was handled quickly so my daughter could get home and in bed. While waiting, every employee behind the pharmacy counter asked us if we'd been helped. Amazing service and wonderful experience! My trip to the Lake In The Hills Walgreens a couple of weeks ago completely turned me off of Walgreens--I didn't think it would be possible to be redeemed--but this team at this store accomplished just that! read more

Transferred all our prescriptions from closing Kmart Pharmacy in Crystal lake to Walgreens on Rt 14. Just so happened they were remodeling and there were Walgreens corporate guys running around. The one in the suit was all~Oh we cater to busy traveling business customers we know how precious your time is here at Walgreens. WRONG! Well now after months of screw ups wrong prescript refilled notices sent out prescript ready for pick up and its not! seriously rude lady during day needs to be fired! Rude to my wife in front of our multi needs child! Way to go lady! There is never ever a reason for an employee to be rude to a customer especially when there is a child present! Think of the impression that leaves! Way too many other issues to post. Was told well if your up early it will be better. well no it's not only when Samantha is working is service great and very hospitable! Other early morning crew 15 min wait plus and then when I finally get prescript it's wrong co pay not 15 but 50. Left after 20 mins plus of irritation I have places to be! Will try Walgreens in Algonquin have heard great things from neighbors unlike Crystal Lake one on RT 14. signs says Welcome Kmart customers! Should say we are way too busy now that Kmart customers are here and we need more help obviously but well golly it's cheaper to piss off customers and make them wait then get more and nicer help! The Take Care Clinic has a terrible female provider (I didn't get her name). I made an appointment and was there 30 mins early. As I got there the person being treated left and my name was first on the list. 45 mins later and they still haven't asked for me. Finally I ask what's going on and they said they have an issue with the pharmacy and another patient, but the provider still hasn't seen anyone for 45 mins. When I ask if they will see me as I have to go, they make a BIG deal out of it and finally she sees me. She doesn't do ANYTHING but ask me a couple of questions. I have a sinus infection, it's obvious, but she says it's viral and sends me off. I'm a mom of 3 sick kids with a sinus infection and now I have to find time to go to another doctor. She was terrible, lazy, and shouldn't be practicing medicine! read more
