Came to this Walgreens to drop off a FedEx return. There's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. I initially waited in line at the main counter only to be redirected to the photo department for returns. It would've been helpful if there were clearer signs indicating that. It would've saved a bit of time. That said, the staff was kind, patient, and helpful, which made the process painless once I got to the right spot. I shop at Walgreens regularly for various items. I use their customer rewards card when I shop. On many occasions I receive in store discounts at the register. And, typically coupons are printed out upon payment. Some I use and some I don't. On my recent visit, I received what I thought was a coupon for ten dollar cash towards my NEXT purchase of $10.00 or more. Since that coupon was due to expire on the 23rd of June my husband attempted to redeem it before the 23rd. Well, this is where the misunderstanding occurred. The coupon was actually for $10.00 towards rewards points if you spend $10 or more. In short, the $10 was applied to rewards points that could be used towards the next purchase, not redeemed for his current purchase. Needless to say I was not happy and the explanation of how the coupon actually worked seemed inconsistent with Walgreen's written coupon policy that I read online. I was totally confused. So, using their survey, I expressed my unhappiness. Their survey had a statement asking if I would to speak to someone about my concern and I stated yes, thinking I'd never hear from anyone. But, the next morning to my surprise I received a phone call from the store manager, Kathy. She introduced herself and asked me about my concern. She listened and thoroughly explained to me how Walgreen's coupon system worked. She also stated that customers are valued at Walgreens and that they really do look at survey comments. After our conversation I had a much better understanding of Walgreen's coupon system. Customer Service is a big issue with me and the manager's follow-up and patiently explaining Walgreen's coupon system relieved my frustration with Walgreens. Kudos to Kathy at the Laguna Franklin Walgreens! Here is one main tip if you receive a Walgreens Cash towards points coupon: 1. Ask the cashier WHEN can you redeem the coupon and HOW is it applied. If you are told that it is just like cash on your next purchase, this is not correct. Ask for the manager, or ask to see their written policy, it is supposed to be posted in the store. read more

If I could give it a zero star, I would. These guys are liars, through and through. And super rude. They sit on prescription fill requests, UNTIL you call them. And even then, you go to pick it up, they tell you they need authorization. What authorization? The doctor sent you a medication prescription, what else do you want? I call each time to see if it's ready at which point they actually start working on it. And twice, I go, and am told, nope, can't fill it. Have to talk to your Dr. first. For what? And in the meantime while you're in the drive through, they say, we're on the phone with them, go park at the front. I ask how will you let me know? They go, through text. They never do, nor do they call. Avoid this particular branch, and possibly others. They also make each other managers if you want to speak to one. All a bunch of lies with a loud and aggressive tone. To further infuriate you, they never speak in the mike. I literally wasted 4 hours for a regular medication, and came home without it. As a working person, I don't have this kind of time. How about you get the medication, get everything all clear, and THEN actually tell the truth when it's ready. They also seem to be gaming their own system by putting "We're working with insurance." God darn, for each and every medication? Every single time? They need to be shutdown. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for decades. It's gotten progressively worse, to the point I need to go elsewhere. I really liked using the pharmacy app, but the incompetent and rude staff make it unpleasant to do business here, (not all the techs, but several). First they wouldn't give me Good Rx discount then the Pharmacist called in the store Mgr. Total Bitch. Wouldn't give me the ADVERTISED discount and made me show ID and pay tax which is why I have a prescription in the first place. Guys, it has gotten to the point where my Fitbit heart rate actually spikes when I have to deal with this place. I have a prescription that can't be place on auto-refill, meaning I have to call every time. This can take up to 45 minutes on hold. Other times, I've had them fill one prescription and then not the other one that I requested so I get to take more fun trips to pick up my meds. Once, they partially filled it without checking with my insurance so I ended up paying about $150 out of pocket for the remainder. Today, I'm writing this after calling the pharmacy 4 times and the call disconnecting 4 times. On one of those, I heard the handset lift up and click down. GET IT TOGETHER, WALGREENS. read more

It took over a month to get my last prescription. Pharmacy was closed on Labor Day, my first trip. Then I went in and the prescription wasn't ready. I would have to wait. I told them to call me when ready. They called 7-8 days later. I went in about 3 days later. They told me they had restocked it. Again, I told them to call me when it was ready. Again, they called about a week later. I went in at about 2:00. They were closed for lunch. I went in a few days later, they had restocked it. I told them to call me when ready. I went in right away. Even the checkout process was cumbersome. Date of birth (for the dog), enter phone number twice. Crazy. I've had similar experience there before, as has my wife One of the problems is they are relatively small. Another is that my wife and are are both chemically sensitive and the store reeks of chemicals... perfume and I don't know what else. I honestly do not shop at any drugstore very often due to the higher pricing. Lol. They do have great sales from time to time and if I find coupons that's an added bonus!! I shop early to avoid lines. Most everything I am looking for is easily found. I did get asked by three different employees while shopping today. The one lady in cosmetics asked if I was finished shopping and she ended up checking me out so I didn't have to stand in line in front. BONUS for me!! Lol. The store looked very maintained. Employees were working hard to stock shelves. They even had the rolling cart and put trash and empty cartons underneath. Great job for not leaving clutter to trip over. They have RedBox at this store, too. It is located outside so you can still check out or return movies after store closes. Lol. Overall this is a drugstore with added conveniences. They sell everything from over the counter drugs, prescription drugs, sodas, cards, candy, toys, makeup, toiletries, office supplies, to photos. They have a decent size parking lot. I had throat surgery, which caused my voice to screech at times. Dropped by for over-the counter painkillers and other products. Didn't see the meds I wanted, but bought other stuff along the way. At the cash register, the young employee mocked my screeched voice and tried to mimic my voice like some sort of comedy special. I have been to this location a number of times for one reason or another, and always find it to be your average, convenient, corner drugstore. While it is well stocked with all the common necessities, sundries, food, drinks, snacks, and of course lots of pharmacy supplies. It seems to be lacking in customer service acknowledgment. I don't think they pay much attention to the customers and offer help if it looks like you are having a hard time finding something. But don't worry, you'll eventually find it on your own, since they carry a little bit of everything. I've experienced a few drawbacks at this store in the past. When the pharmacy department was supposed to be open 24 hours, I had to call in a last minute, but important prescription for a client to pick up for emergency reasons. The phone menu led me to the option of speaking directly with the pharmacist. It kept me on hold, for what seemed like forever, while putting me through the loop of menu choices over and over again. Finally, I tried speaking with someone else in another department who checked the pharmacy for me. Returning to say that it had already closed for the evening! Frustrating to say the least! It made me wonder how many potential customers they lost for not informing people about the new business hours during the "on hold" session. My most recent experience was when I went there to get a flu vaccine. The lady at the register was nice enough and directed me through all the required paperwork and payment. Then, I waited for the pharmacist to administer the vaccine. It could be that he didn't speak much English or maybe he was shy. But he remained stoic and stone faced through my brief procedure. Never cracking a smile even when I tried to make a joke. (Or maybe I just wasn't funny). None the less, he could have tried to at least look pleasant, just for customer comfort sake! I find myself here out of sheer convenience. Staff is lack luster. Boredom can be seen from a mile away. Sometimes you get people that smile. It's refreshing. A bit cheaper than CVS for some items, good deals on candy and snacks. Very standard, same experience everywhere Walgreen. Not 24hrs like the one next to Target. Gets kinda ghetto. We've been coming here for the last year and always had a pleasant experience here. If you ever get the pleasure to meet Lina, the checker, you will have an excellent experience. She is so sweet and helpful. We never catch her without a smile and everyone notice when she is not there. I know I always ask the staff about her when I dont see her for a while. Overall, just like any other drug store. Ditto on the Arizona Tea that is always on sale or a nice place to pick up some snicker ice cream or It's It's. Horrible Customer Service!!! While shopping I came across a couple of toddler t-shirts with a sign 2 for $5.99. When I got to the counter one rang up for $5.99. One rang up for $7.99. Instead of sending someone to check, the cashier changes them both to $7.99, even though the screen was showing one at two for $15. He then tells me that 7.99 and 7.99 equals $15. Really? I liked the witty quotes on them, so I would have purchased them at the higher price of 2 for $15, but because the cashier was being a jerk, I decided to leave them there. I later called to speak to a manager. The first time, no one answered the phone. The second time, I was put on hold and after approx 3 min of waiting, I heard a dial tone. I will no longer shop here. I love this Walgreen. I can run inside and grab my drink and snacks and be on my way quickly. Sometimes the line can be back up a bit, but it's ok...not asking for perfect place since things can happen. Once help arrives, it's supper fast. The pharmacy has a drive through and the pharmacist is so helpful and kind. Supper convenient since I can pick up my meds and they also grab other items from inside the store for me through the drive through. Sweet! read more

I'd would have given this store 4 stars based on the competent and friendly staff, and on convenience. However, there are a few persistent flaws in their operation and I'm deducting 2 stars for these deficiencies: -1 star: Incredibly long lines. If the store gets busy at the same time every day, how about increasing your staff during those hours? And it always takes forever for them to open another register. Ugh! -1 star: I don't want to be upsold to your overpriced candy bars. In fact, I find this practice insulting. It tells me that Walgreen's isn't satisfied that I've chosen to shop here... that my purchase isn't enough for them... they want more from me. P.S.
