I'm not sure why people are giving such negative reviews for their pharmacy? We recently switched from Walgreens to CVS because of update by insurance and I have been getting the most pleasant and efficient drug refills and new prescriptions for the family. They are 1000% more efficient than Walgreens (most of the time you have to wait their for additional 15-30 minutes for them to start on your prescription after request refill from even a day before). Believe me CVS Elk Grove Florin have been a blessing for us this year. Thank you. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - SACRAMENTO, California

If you are picking up a prescription, buyer beware. My provider called in a prescription to this pharmacy at 11 AM. The pharmacist and tech did not check the voicemail so when I showed up around 3:30 PM there was no record of a prescription. I contacted my provider who called the pharmacy and provided the details for the prescription. When I was checking the details of the prescription on my phone, I noticed that the dosage was higher than it should be (150 mg instead of 100mg). I brought it to the pharmacist's attention who insisted that my provider had said that the dosage was 150 mg. My provider had to call again to clarify because the higher dosage was not the prescribed amount. I picked up my prescription and, out of an excess of caution given the multitude of errors, decided to count all the pills in the container. In fact, it was one pill short. I went back to get the missing pill. There was no acknowledgment of the error, no apology, nothing. I was given the pill and overheard the pharmacist and tech discussing the fact that they need a new pill counting machine. While my medication is not a high-risk medication, my concern is for other customers that are on high risk medications- like heart medication- where a higher dosage has the potential to cause significant harm. And while being short one pill might not seem significant in my case, I do worry about people that are on special medications (like epilepsy meds) requiring monthly refills that could put a patient's life at risk by missing one pill. Errors do happen. I don't think this was handled well. I write this review because I'm concerned for patients going to this pharmacy. if I had several errors in the course of a very short period of time, I can't guarantee that you might not have a similar experience. If you are a patient at this pharmacy, please, triple check your medication, the dosage of your medication, the frequency that you should be taking the medication, and count your pills. read more

I am disgusted! I'll be changing pharmacies as soon as I can! I made special trip to pick up my Rx tonight at 7:00! I found pharmacy closed! Asked ck out Clerk about that as online said pharmacy was open till 8:00pm! Her answer very unapologetic was if a didn't go to "their" website others may be wrong!! Sorry, but I couldn't believe it! Came here last Friday to get my 80-year-old mother, a shingles shot and some other immunizations. The pharmacist was very nice man but he said to come back next week to get your shingles shot because it's too hard getting them all at once on the body. My mother is non-ambulatory with Alzheimer's and it's very difficult to get her out. I brought her there today at 11:30 making sure it was way before lunch which is at 1:30. Well got there didn't see anybody in there, but the lady said you need to come back after lunch. It's not a good time right now. I explained to her the situation, but she didn't care at all. I wish I could give 0 stars. Sayid (not too sure how to spell the name) was rude, argumentative, and completely unprofessional and unhelpful. I placed a prescription delivery. I saw a text saying it was delivered as I was out for the day. When I returned.... No delivery was made. When I called the pharmacy I was told by this person I was wrong and my prescription was returned to stock...... not followed by "however I can refill it and we can deliver it or you can pick it up today" had they said this all frustration could have been avoided. It was as if the person was accusing me of making this up. Then as I was talking I was interrupted by them saying "you keep repeating yourself' I could not even finish my sentence. Worst pharmacy experience the girls where ignoring this customer and laughing in the back when they were supposed to fill his prescription. The pharmacist even had to tell them twice and he had to check me in. In the past the wait was long because there were so many customers but now I realize it's the employees. I switched to Rite Aid and my meds that weren't covered at cvs some how were covered at Rite Aid. I understand trying to have fun and work but to mess around while you handle ppls meds is crazy to me. read more

I am indeed a couponer, and the staff here never treat me immorally. They greet me, ask me if I need help, and when I pull out the coupons, their attitude never changes. I truly hate the couponers who ruin it for everyone else. One bad apple can ruin a cashiers day. I always smile and make sure the cashiers know that I'm easy going and follow the rules. After finishing my dental appointment down the road, I decided to check out this CVS instead of the one I normally shop at near my house. I had some coupons I wanted to make use of before they expired, so my sister who works at my dental office directed me to this one. She warned me to watch out for weirdos that might be lurking around the outside of the store, but fortunately, there were none when I arrived! In fact, the store was clean and well maintained both outside and in. The interior was spacious and well organized. I was able to easily search through the aisles for the products I needed without asking for help. I even found one of my favorites: Frizz-Immunity Primer by Frizz Ease on the shelf, when I almost gave up looking for it at other stores! So of course I bought two! The employees were nice and I felt quite safe shopping there. Looks like I might visit this store more often, or at least every 6 months after my dentist appointment! LOL! read more

They text people that their meds are ready but when you come to pick it up it's not. The clerk are no help. They always pawn stuff off to other people. Having you jump from one register to another. Staff here are quite hit or miss, some of the cashiers are nice, others are kind of rude. I don't live close by here so I don't usually shop here but since my mom lives in this area, we come here sometimes. They do have pretty good stock probably b/c they're not friendly to couponers and deal seekers. One time I wanted to buy eggs and they had exactly 1 dozen left and yes, it was towards the end of the week, but seriously? Prices are very high at all CVS stores if you were to pay retail, but some of the deals they have are decent. This store shares a parking lot with Safeway so it can be crowded, somewhat chaotic to get in and out and people really drive too fast in this parking lot or swerve around other cars when they can just wait all of a few seconds for people to move. This is an older store but they have remodeled and it's a pretty big store (that used to be Long's), so they have quite a selection of all kinds of health and beauty supply and sundries and other essentials. read more

Since I started coupon-ing, I started to shop at CVS. They totally have good deals. Make sure you sign up for the extra care card, it is totally worth the savings. Too bad this isn't a super market, if so - i do all my grocery shopping here. Has to be the worst pharmacy in the area. I had an appointment for a simple flus shot, I arrived 10 minutes early. I waited 30 minutes and the pharmacist was still not ready. She was occupied in other tasks and speaking with others with questions and completely ignored my appointment ( which was now 20 minutes overdue). Only when i told the clerk to just cancel my appt, the pharmacist offered to help me. I just cancelled, despite having to have traveled 20 minutes to get there. AVOID this pharmacy! read more

Had appt for covid vaccine, was able to come in earlier. When told the gal who was giving the vaccine that I had Botox today she immediately contacted the pharmacist Harry. When I asked about the issue and explained to him that Botox isn't a immunoglobulin and shouldn't impact the vaccine he looked it up and said initially that there were contraindications but then later said there were no documented issues but would recommend waiting 10 days. Botox is a neurotoxin and there are no studies saying there are issues, now fillers are indeed contraindicated. Tried to reschedule appt online and now they are all booked up/full. I'm changing pharmacy after I write this review. Poor customer service both in-person and on phone. If you enjoy waiting for them to provide service to you then this is the place to go. On different occasions I've waited in line for pharmacy tech to assist and on numerous dates I've waited over 20 minutes. The line wasn't long and I was either the next to be serviced or the second in line. I figured these were just one of those days but noticed it always happens. It's been couple of months since I've gone to CVS and today I've decided to call and have been on hold for over 19 minutes waiting to speak to someone. OMG! While holding I remembered that I am waiting just as long as I have waited in line... What a service! read more

So my son started a new bottle of pills today. So I count them to make sure he takes them. The bottle is suppose to have 30 I counted 24 because my son took one. I called and the pharmacy manager tells me, well that's not possible because they use a machine to count them and it's right on the count. I explained to him that it's wrong, and we were shorted. He has to take one a day and has to go the 30 days with them, so now because their system can't possibly be flawed in any way shape or form my son won't have his pills for five days at the end of the month. I'm furious about this. He has the nerve to ask me if there's any way someone could've taken them. It's hard bought to get him to take them, that I have to count them out. This CVS had a good selection of everything I was looking for. Good makeup section, good holiday this-n-that aisle, and oddly this store has been the only place I've been able to find Tylenol in months. (Did the United States start an embargo against Tylenolandia or what?) Good lookin out, CVS, because no other store was hooking me up with a Rapid Release gelcap to soothe my headache today! Plus, this is totally random, but I love that CVS stores always seem to have a mini section of hippie clothing for women- all the colorful tank tops, skirts and dresses you could need at a pharmacy. I like this CVS location. It's clean, the workers are friendly, and I almost always find what I need. I've hardly ever had a bad experience. They just remodeled and it came out great. The store is much more easier to navigate. A couple of my old friends still work there, such as Mitchell Geer, and always give me good service. Worst Pharmacy ever!!! Since Rite Aid closed down, all my moms prescriptions were transferred to CVS Pharmacy. Never had a good experience every time I picked up my moms prescription. No one seems to care even though the line was long. Floors was always messy and dirty. Poor customer service and and it always take 2 or more days to refill a prescriptions. This place is a mess!!! I went in to look for Theraflu b/c that's the only medicine I actually like that works wonders! But sadly, found out it's been discontinued...but CVS has little signs in the aisle saying it'll be back soon, YAY. I like this CVS, it's better than Walgreens and Rite Aid in my opinion. I love CVS because it's just so convenient and it has everything that I need if I'm in a rush or ran out of one thing. The reason why I'm giving this location 4 stars is because when I walked in there today, my allergies started acting up so bad. It's so dusty at this location I could barely keep my eyes open and I couldn't stop sneezing. I work at a fast food restaurant and cleanliness is a very important part of customer service. Please have someone dust or wipe down the counters every once in a while. On a good note, the customer service was fast and friendly. read more

The staffs never acknowledge the customers standing in line for a very long time. Theres always one cashier at the pharmacy which tends to make the lines longer than it should.
