Avoid this pharmacy. Poor service. Pharmacist, Roxane is rude and unhelpful. Will be doing business with East Troy pharmacy in the future

I have actually never left a review before, but after yesterday and today I am so upset with the way Walgreens in Elkhorn handled my husband's prescription, I feel I must say something. My husband had a major surgery and was prescribed a controlled substance for post op pain. I was told by the discharge nurse (this is my own fault for not double checking the RX/paperwork) that he should take his meds every 6 hours. I was making sure he did this so that his pain would stay under control. So the problem was the RX read that he was supposed to take them every 8 hours instead of 6. I asked his surgeon to send in another RX and I went to pick it up. After waiting in line for 20 minutes at the drive thru-I was told that there was a problem with my insurance (which I did not understand) but the employee at the drive thru stated that it would be ready in 10 minutes regardless. I said great...no rush...I'll just run to the grocery store and come back to get it. When I got back...I was told that it was too early to fill it which I did not understand seeing I thought it was every 6 hours. I was like...why didn't you tell me when I was here before. I will admit I was probably a bit snippy. I said that I realize that they are very busy but everyone's time is valuable. He had also told me that it was the pharmacist discretion whether it be filled early or not. (Which most pharmacies will fill a controlled substance 2 days early if needed.) At this point (it would have been 3 days early and he still had some) I left and had my husband call the next day to see if I could pick it up on my way home from work (for one, a snow storm was coming the next day) and he will be out by the 10th day due to (I admit my fault for the misunderstanding and I had told them about it) to run out before and the answer was no...by law we can't pick it up until the 10 days. So with that being said, I feel really bad that my husband will be in pain and after I pick up that prescription...I will never go to another Walgreens again... read more

Nothing worse than being 2,000 miles from home and having to go to a pharmacy that is not your normal provider. That said, on a busy Saturday afternoon this Walgreens pharmacy came thru for me big time. They processed my insurance and RX in a timely manner, explained some state laws that we don't have in California and were nothing but polite and kind to me. Thank you Walgreens for taking care of me 2,000 miles away from home. Hopefully if I visit your part of the world for Phish again in the future I can stop by for something fun like Gummy Bears and not RX. read more

I left a review too soon for this pharmacy! After this nightmare I'm finding a new pharmacy. So today I was prescribed by my doctor two antibiotics. After my doctor called it in, I got a call from Walgreens stating it was ready. I went and picked it up. After waiting 30 minutes, I find out only one was ready and they were out of the other. I needed the other one more and I needed it right away. They called around and said the lake Geneva location has it, and then I can go pick it up there. I'm located in Elkhorn and I drove to Lake Geneva, about 15 minutes away, and waited another 30 minutes in line, to find out that Lake Geneva doesn't have it either. So I called Elkhorn back up, and asked them when will they get it in because like Lake Geneva doesn't have it like they told me they did. That's when they told me that they were wrong the first time and they do have it in stock!!! Are you kidding me!!! After waisting a full hour of my time waiting in lines and 30 minutes of driving time?!?!? Now I'm on my way back to Elkhorn to pick up this medication. Time to find a new pharmacy! read more

Just awful. Not a competent person employed in the pharmacy - problems every single time. You get texts sayings it's ready - get there - it will be more 30 minutes. nobody has time for that nonsense. read more

As far as over the counter meds, fine. But the pharmacy doesn't seem to be there to meet the customer needs. We were use to a local pharmacy that knew the customers and was able to take care of them with compassion. The owner of that establishment decided it was time to take the money and run, sending everyone's prescription's to Walgreens. It's only been a couple month's since that happened, so we're still having to get use to the change, but come on. They close for lunch. What kind of BS is that in retail? We really miss The Pharmacy Station! read more

I have been to this pharmacy many times to pick up prescriptions or just to ask questions about medications and/or product information. As many times as I have been in this store I have always been met with a friendly smile and a hello and a person asking how I am doing. I have never been in this store when it has been cluttered nor has anyone been discourteous to me and always had an answer, if that person didn't have an answer that person asked someone more knowledgeable about my question. Everyone has been super nice, they have treated me with respect each and every time. I don't think I would want to use another pharmacy other than Walgreens. Everyone cannot be perfect all the time but the staff at Walgreens will go above and beyond to be as helpful as they can and I really appreciate that, I have worked in the public at health establishments my entire life and I know how frantic people can be or get when a loved one is sick, taking the time with each customer helps this customer who could be the care giver knowing that someone really cares. Very unprofessional in the pharmacy! The clerk was chewing gum while talking to me. I had to ask the same question 3 times before I got an answer. I was being rushed by the clerk. Very rude and uncourteous staff! read more

Always helpful, always friendly and professional. We actually drive out of our way to shop this Walgreens. We consider it and the employees the best in the area. Thanks for all you do. read more
