I would not write a review of this Walgreens if not for Alexander. He alone is the purpose of this review and all the stars go to him, with one knocked off because the parking situation. He was so incredibly welcoming when I walked in the door gave me a bright, happy good morning when I walked in. I stopped at the photo counter and he was the one who came to help me there to pick up the photos that I had had printed. When he said that he could go ring me up at the register or if I had other things to pick out to feel free to do that. It reminded me that I did in fact have a couple items that I needed to get which I quickly picked up with his help because he knew exactly where the item that I was looking for was. And then when I left and he checked me out, he was chipper as I'll get out, especially for someone who had come in on his day off on a day that was absolutely beautiful. Not at all Alexander related, but it must be mentioned: The parking lot is an absolute freaking mess. It seems like the only way you're actually supposed to enter the parking lot is via driving north and entering from that direction. Leaving is also a one-way situation, continuing north. If I could give negative stars I would. The male pharmacy attendants was rude, arrogant, and completely uninterested in trying to be even tolerable to communicate with. Unhelpful and utterly miserable is how he came off. It may not be entirely in him though -- I called to share my experience with a manager and was hung up on. i was on hold for 45 minutes, i stayed on hold while i drove up to the pharmacy line. which was long enough for anyone to freak out. i went inside, even worse. got back inline outside while still on hold. finally after being in line for about 45 mins. i get to the window and the lady says they have nothing for me. mind you im having an anxiety attack because i do not have my meds. anyways i show the lady my phone that now says 42 mins on hold and she had absolutely nothing to say. don't you think if you guys could have told me my medication wasn't ready i would have been one less person in line for no reason. absolutely foul costumer service. especially the lady with purple hair. read more

Ok, I've read all the reviews and I just have to say, these people work really really hard to make sure people get taken care of. I was given great service and I was in line for about 20 min. All of the people in front of me got great service. I imagine they would say they didn't because they didn't get what they wanted but the pharmacy techs were kind, communicated what they could do and did what they could do. If I could do minus five million stars, I would. The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with, and I have lived in five states over fifty years. Refills that require a doctor's ok, per my docs, they never received a request from Walgreens. Frequent lying that my scripts are ready, but they aren't. Or, they only have a few pills so I must return another day. Some of my meds are required to keep me alive. As of this date, I am done with Walgreens. What a zoo!!! I watched a pharmacy tech named Corey argue and yell at a customer. They had received a call that their RX was ready but when he came in to pick it up, it wasn't ready. In what world should ANYONE in a service industry argue and yell at a customer?!? In general, the people working in the pharmacy were a slovenly group. UGH. phones: don't bother. the automated system will disconnect you. emergent issues are of no concern. had all of my life sustaining medications transferred there and when I sped over there after work they had only filled one and proceeded to tell me I could pick up the rest tomorrow. yes but I work tomorrow and they close at 6. oh let's not forget they are not open on weekends and their employees are rude and uncaring. COVID TESTING MAKES AWFUL WAITS AR DRIVE THRU. They should find a way to let people know this before I've waited 30 mins It's hit-or-miss with the pharmacy in terms of wait time at window, both inside the store and at drive thru. After experiencing all pharmacy services in the area (with the exception of Walmart), I've settled on Walgreens. Without naming names, my previous provider was over charging Medicare and I thought that was grossly inappropriate. This company really does an excellent job. TERRIBLE service after surgery for medication pick up. Would not recommend. Prescription was called in hours before pick up. Staff was not friendly or timely and did not consider the pain the patient was under. If you are needing medication after surgery for pain PLEASE save your time and money and go somewhere else. The last thing a patient needs is to suffer in pain while waiting for a prescription that was called in hours prior to specifically avoid an incident such as this. read more

Alexander was a superstar employee! When he was the only staff member working a shift he was running across the store, making sure everyone was helped efficiently, all while maintaining a super positive attitude and making great conversation! I do visit this Pharmacy quite often, so I feel I am in the position to state an objective review. I use the drive-thru 90% of the time. This Pharmacy is not my neighborhood pharmacy. However, after 'testing' other Walgreens in Eugene...Coburg Road is hands down consistently the best. Their attentiveness, customer service & dedication to empathize with their customers is admirable. Although, it may be inconvenient for some that their 1/2 hour lunch is at 1:30-2:00. The customer has many alternatives to this so called 'inconvenience'-you can have your RXs sent to you free within 24-48 hours! Or, schedule to be there before or after this very hardworking pharmacy's staff short lunch. Honestly, I truly wish they were able to take an hour lunch, which it so much deserved. read more

They are always ready when I've been notified in the app. Sometimes the drive through line can be 5-6 cars, but that's the way it goes. Everybody's busy. Get your app up people. RE: pharmacy & staff: the pharmacy line is typically long outside or in the drive through, yes. but given how overworked the staff are, they have never been unpleasant, annoyed, or made me feel rushed. the long line is worth the wait bc they take the time to meet each indeviduals need instead of rushing you off to focus on getting through the line quickly over ensuring each person gets the attention and information they deserve. everyone complaining makes sense but i can pretty much guarantee none of the complainers could last two days w/o losing their $#!+ on a customer or rushing people off. give the pharmacy staff a break. if you have a problem, write corporate. i'm sure the staff would much prefer to have a "doable" day to day work load. the problem is not the staff - it's the corporate greed focusing on the bottom line instead of the well-being of the customers and the dedicated specialists who serve them at the pharmacy. read more

I have been on hold this long before only to find out even though i called coburg road, you may get connected to a global call center of sorts. I get Oregon has laws that make sure employees get lunch. Am all for it. Though on the east coast that is totally alien to us. When I first got here and the pharmacy was closed for 30 min, it boggled my mind. Ok, maybe employees were abused. Anyway, if you're closing the pharmacy for 30 min, you should really be re-opening 30 minutes later. Not when employees stroll back to work. Tried to call for over two hours to see if an antibiotoc was called in. I finally gave up and drove in. I asked why they did not answer the phone and the pharmacists answers "who answers the phone these days" I was told I had to come in to the store to fill the prescription. While I was waiting the phone rang. A tech looked at the number and said the name and pharmacist shook his head. I asked to speak to a manager who said she could do nothing about pharmacy. After waiting over an hour I was told I had to go to River road because they could not fill my prescription. I told the tech who said to come in the store and wait an hour she should be fired and attempted to leave the store. The pharmacy manager ran after me as if she was going to assault me. I turned around to face her and she told the tech to call the police and report I was combative. I left the store once she finally backed off from me and called the police myself. They refused to come if I was not in the store anymore. I went to river road and picked up the prescription. As I was handed the antibiotic prescription the store manager came to the register and said "dont give her anything the other store called." The antibiotic prescription had no copay and was already filled so I took it and left before they could grab it back from me. I stated that I will be outside to meet the police if they wanted to make a false report as well. They just said "don't come back" Do not worry, I will not ever use another Walgreens, ever. False police reports and assaultive behavior get folks like me killed by police. read more

I was refused care at the Walgreens in Eugene Oregon. I pulled up to the drive thru after talking to the pharmacy an hour before. No one told me you'd be closing early. No one told me and when I get to the drive thru whoever is working is putting signs up of being closed and accused me of coming to get a narcotic I'm not even prescribed. This is insane. These are dark times and I rely on your pharmacy. I went to the EMERGENCY ROOM to get a prescription. I talked to a pharmacist on the phone and in person. I was refused care extremely rudely. She cut off the mic and stopped communicating with me as I pleaded with her to fill my prescription. I understand there is a fire. Someone should have told me on the phone you are closing early. Incredibly slow and insensitive! With a child who is sick with pneumonia, waiting 24 hours for a prescription is unfathomable. I was told the pharmacist had a flu shot to give and then lunch, it would be a few hours. Then they closed and neglected to tell me the doctor needed to approve the dosage. This was never an issue prior to a few months ago, now an hour+ wait is average. I'm moving all of our prescriptions to Walmart who seems a bit more speedy. read more

The photos that I had developed were slotted to be done in a week, it took a month and a half. I had to go in every week because they would not contact me when they were done, I had to guess. When the photos were finally finished, they neglected to tell me that their CD burner had been broken for month, before I placed the order. When I looked at the actual quality of the photos they were horrible. Color was off, lighting was not reflective of my shooting, and there was solution bleed at the edges, really horrible work (I used to develop color photos). This review is mainly for the pharmacy I come here for my prescriptions being that Wal-mart and ShopKo both take multiple hours to fill some prilosec. This place is convenient, they have a drive through which is a HUGE help for me considering I have a 2 year old and don't always feel like getting out of the car. The help is semi-friendly....Last time I stopped by the lady asked for my zip code. I said, "9-7-" and she cut me off and continued on with, "have a good day." In all honesty....it was really funny the way it went down. But she did cut me off...some people would've been pissed and freaked out, but my mother and I found it quite humorous. I visited on october twenty eighth saturday. I made an appointment online to get a shot. I traveled forty miles one way eighty miles round trip. I waited 30 minutes and line got to the window. The employee said my husband's insurance card did not work. But my insurance card did work. I have insurance through my husband's work So if his car doesn't work And mine does there's a problem with the employee. So my husband didn't receive any shots due to the incompetence. This is after we stood at the window for like twenty minutes. The pharmacist called me over in a rude and loud voice. And then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't get one of the shots Because I didn't have underlying conditions. I do have underlying conditions but I didn't feel like announcing them to her with a whole room full of people. Basically, there were a lot of people there waiting in line. I left. I wasn't going to be able to get the shots that I needed. They couldn't run my husband's insurance card correctly. And the pharmacist was the rudest I've ever experienced. I called the store manager and all he did was back paddle. I can see why they have a one star rating. They might read some of these reviews and fixed the problems. The first one I would do is to fire the rude pharmacist and train the employees so that they can competently put in your insurance card.
