One day the clerk told me that…read morethey made a mistake when accepting my checks and that they noticed that my name was not signed on the back of the checks when they accepted the checks and asked that I sign a piece of paper so that they can verify that I approved money to be withdrawn by use of the checks. The next day I asked the individual working behind the desk if everything was resolved all right. The person asked me if the purchases went through my bank account, and I responded yes, because the checks did go through my bank account and he said that he spoke with the owner and that everything is fine and that there is nothing to worry about. 7 days later I get a phone call from someone identifying themselves as the owner, telling they are holding me accountable for 8 days of a unpaid balance on the checks I used. Note, it is illegal for them to "Begin" the countdown of unpaid balance without first informing an individual and 2, the checks cleared through my account... And they said it was for 3 checks although it was only 2 that over-drafted on my account, But I had overdraft protection AND I always deposit more money before midnight when I overdraft because of overdraft fees. The "Owner" said I owed the balance of 3 checks plus $30 for each check for each of the 8 days that I wasn't notified... So, I had to pay double the price of 3 checks, plus $30 some odd multiplied by 8 for each check. In the phone call, the "owner" explicitly threatened me whilst stating that they were aware that they were breaking the law, knew people in high positions and was willing to cover up the phone-call we were having to get away with stealing money from me, and was threatening me continuously with corrupt police coming to arrest me and assuring that if I didn't pay the $820 some odd in Full that $30 some odd would continue to accrue for everyday he doesn't receive "more money" for my total of about "$34" purchase... I paid it too because I know there are evil, corrupt, manipulative, sadistic people. This person doesn't deserve business in Fayetteville and they should be on the street wallowing for money. Pathetic piece of trash whoever the owner of this establishment is. The establishment and employees were great... But the owner, the owner has some serious messed up stuff going on with them.
