Love their milk and orange juice. The glass containers make all the difference. I just need to…read moreremember to bring them back for my discount. Haha! They also have the best Vanilla Ice cream to go. I bought a gallon for Thanksgiving on my way to someone's house. I was amazed that so many people commented on the deliciousness of the Vanilla Ice cream. You don't hear that a lot.
I do not keep ice cream in my house, because my husband will eat it all. The rule is if you want ice cream, we have to go out and get it. That way it's the treat it is meant to be. My husband always wants Byrne Dairy soft serve when those evenings come up. Price is great and they are delicious. It's only a stinker when the machine is not working. Which seems to happen more often than I think it should, but when it all comes together, it's amazing.
Gas prices are high, but since moving to Rochester my car has not reacted well to all the different gas stations in this area. I've had my check engine light come on from "Cheap gas" put in quotes, because the costs were high, but their source is questionable. I have never had a problem with their premium gas, and after having my check engine light on again, from 7-11. Byrne Dairy is the only gas stations, that seems to have the quality my car likes.
Morning donuts are phenomenal and affordable. Since I refuse to give my money to Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts, Byrne Dairy is my place. Local, fresh, and delicious. Their hot coffee also just as good as Dunkin's.
Where it gets shady, and what keeps it from being our regular corner convenience stores, are the items that are not theirs. Arnold Palmers, brand name sodas and snacks that are not made by their company are much more expensive than other convenience stores. So we only go there for specific items.
I love cold coffee but they only sell, Starbucks, and Dunkin' there so there's that. Also my Juul pods are more expensive there, because they do not sell the 6 pack, so I do not buy them there.
Staff is usually friendly, it can be hit or miss, like most convenience stores. However, I have seen more disrespectful customers, handled well, than disrespectful employees. It can get busy in there, and It looks employee managed, so they do much better than 7-11. Byrne Dairy must treat their employees better than 7-11, because the quality of employee shows.
The store is always clean. Set up is a bit weird. Their side entrance seems to be a danger to employees. The location is perfect, but because it is so close to the hwy, they do get their share of weird elements, but we as customers keep an eye out.
I saw one guy acting weird and realized he had a gun. He was apprehended by a customer so quick, the guy with the gun didn't even know what happened.
Lots of disabled people use this location, because people respect the clear disabled parking. Unlike 7-11, where they have one or 2 spots and employees does not care who uses them. I have a real issue with people taking disabled spaces. Employees at Byrne Dairy care as well, and do not allow it, if they see it or it's brought to their attention.
