They have a vast produce section. Prepared foods has so many delicious fresh and pre-made options (the subs are basically a local delicacy), and there is a beautiful upstairs eatery. In Nature's Market you can find gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, organic products. There is a pharmacy so you can easily pick up medication while you shop. The aisles in this store are nice and wide, and they have some really well done specialty sections and displays. This isn't the store that I normally shop at and it's set up differently than most I've been to, so I often use the Wegmans app to figure out which aisle I want to be in, which is a convenient plus. Employees at Wegmans as always are friendly and helpful. My ONLY complaints about Wegmans stores in general is that they have become a bit pricey with their prepared foods, and it can sometimes be hard to find name brands with certain products. When it comes to shopping though Wegmans has always been my go to because I love the ambiance. :)

It was July 4th weekend so very busy in the store. I went to the bakery and asked about the cake. The person I talked to must have been having a rough day - no greeting, no smile - just asked me something about catering. I said I didn't know, I didn't order it - I'm just here to pick it up. She told me to go up front to the catering area (near the registers). They had the cake up there. I looked at it and it truly looked like a 2-year old had written it. It was not fancy writing like I expected, just sloppy as though they were in a hurry. And, one of the names was spelled wrong (Carole, not Carroll). The staff person did say they could fix the name, and they did, but according to my sister, they did not follow any of her instructions on how the cake should look. Very disappointing! I asked the manager for a discount and his response was, "Everyone on our team has their talents." And I get that, but have someone with talent do the cake writing. So, $50 later, we got a plain chocolate cake, buttercream frosting with child-like writing (not even any filling in the cake), and I got a headache. Not worth it. With the mothership Wegmans within a short drive, who wouldn't? However, I do save a lot of $$ when I include Aldis in my rounds. They've got a great selection of staple goods and periodic deals on other fine food items. I find it funny that friends who NEVER go here have gone GA-GA over the Pittsford Trader Joes. What they don't understand is Trader Joes shares a common corporate parent with Aldis. The stores share a similar approach to merchandising and quality of goods. The difference is the targeted market. Aldis skews its products more towards the price sensitive customer & carries fewer luxury items. That's it. I've already found some analogous products between the stores. The Aldis store in Penfield is the one I frequent the most. Very clean & well stocked. Very friendly & helpful staff.
