Better pick up service through the pharmacy. It's rare to get order right the first time.

This Walgreens is run poorly in the pharmacy. I went in around the first of June to switch my meds and insurance over. I told them specifically that I don't want my meds refilled because the insurance won't cover YET because they were refilled recently at meijer but meijer is changing their pharmacy systems so I needed to move to a new pharmacy so I chose this (bad idea I learned!) and she decided to push the meds through anyways! The meds of course rejected and it messed up everything on the insurance on her end, and she had to fix everything. (Haha). Well now though for over a week I've had my meds sitting there on a rack that I can't actually get because my insurance won't pay and I don't actually need right now, but it ate up my refills from my doctor thanks to this girl, and I tried to hit cancel and call and they haven't even cancelled. Just sitting there saying "canceling". I keep getting robo calls from this location saying my meds are ready but I tried to cancel. What is going on? This place is awful. Probably the worst pharmacy experience I've ever had! Now I need to call my doctor and have her force the refill to reject so they can restock it and I'm going to close my Walgreens account. Do not go to this location. They are not in tune with their customers. read more

Always clean, great selection of everything in stock. Photography department is awesome! I get a lot of pictures printed here for my business. They are service dog friendly. Staff is always friendly and available to help. The pharmacy, although swamped and very busy right now with the pandemic, is efficient and friendly. Kayla did a great job giving me my vaccines. I called the pharmacy to file a complaint, and they wouldn't even hear me out and rushed me off the phone. bad look for a pharmacy.

I have just made my last purchase at this store. I have been getting prescriptions at Walgreens for over 10 years. I don't need monthly refills on anything, just prescriptions for this and that once in a while. I got a new prescription for Wegovy (which is prescribed for weight loss). I needed a pre-authorization from my insurance company due to it being so pricey. I called Walgreens automated line and it said my script was ready, and it'd be $1600+. When I went to pick it up, the pharmacist retrieved to med and gave me the total I owed. I asked if my insurance was billed for it and she said it was declined. And that it was only covered if I am Type 2 Diabetic. I told he that Ozempic is the one that is strictly for diabetes and Wegovy is prescribed for weight management. She told me that I was wrong. (Which I was NOT wrong). I asked her what I should do at this point and she replied that maybe I should try Weight Watchers or something. I was appalled and insulted at her insensitivity. I left the store feeling defeated, but decided to call my insurance company. They assured me that it is a covered med, as long as there is a pre-authorization, and they were just waiting for the letter from my physician. Also, the insurance man I spoke with told me that, indeed, Wegovy was for weight loss and Ozempic was for Type 2 Diabetes. It certainly seems that a pharmacist would know this. I have since picked up the medication (the authorization came through) and relayed this story to the pharmacy tech. I wish I would have gotten the name of the pharmacist so I could single her out. I will be moving all my future pharmacy needs to Rite Aid. read more

I have never had so many consecutive problems with a pharmacy. Last week was "trapped" in auto outside pick up lane because the customer ahead was "unhappy ". For 35 minutes. This week the pharmacy wasn't open, on a Friday afternoon. Explanation: someone called in sick. On hold on the phone forever, finally hung up. Went in to pick up distilled water-out of stock. Clerk just shrugged. Unbelievable ! read more

Worst Walgreens ever! My husband and I are very disappointed in the pharmacists, and some of their assistants; they are often not truthful. Automatic refills are not ready when scheduled. They have lied to us about not being able to call our doctors for refills. In one instance, when they told me they could not call my doctor for the refill, I called the doctor's office while still in the store, and my doctor's office told me Walgreen's was lying. The pharmacy department has also been untruthful about when our prescriptions would be ready. We live over 30 minutes from Walgreens; finding out our prescriptions are not ready, or have not even been filled, has caused us a lot of wasted time and gas. read more

The pharmacy at this location has THE WORST service and pharmacists. I have never been so disappointed in their lack of respect to call a patient when their prescriptions can't be filled. I have had a half a dozen incidents where I go to pick up my prescription and then I'm told they don't have it in stock. A phone call at the very least would be acceptable. This time I'm done with this location...I'd recommend everyone to choose any other pharmacy in Jackson. read more
