How can I when they're closed every other day due to staffing, and when they're open, they close at 7 AFTER I GET OFF WORK? There are a lot of bad reviews but I genuinely love this Walgreens and the pharmacy. We live in a small town, employees let alone pharmacists are hard to come by. The workers here are kind & compassionate -- they truly care for others. If something's going slow, just kindly ask what's going on & you might get a better perspective & understanding. I feel sorry for the pharmacy workers , but This Walgreens is managed terrible . Always long lines and you can't get your meds in a timely manner. They are also closed on certain days because of the availability of a Pharmacist. I don't blame the workers , but Walgreens and management . The only Walgreens in the whole area. read more

Nice store. Clean, bright and well cared for. Staff is friendly and helpful. But the Pharmacy leaves a LOT to be desired. If you're picking up a prescription, give yourself plenty of time, because you're going to be there awhile. Doesn't matter if it's drive through or the inside window, it takes just as long. There's only one person who handles prescription pick-ups, and they have to alternate between the drive through and the inside counter. The pharmacy workers seem to be understaffed and overwhelmed. I think they're trying, but they just can't keep up with the volume, plus they have several burdensome protocols they have to follow. We're probably going to switch to Kroger. read more

This Walgreens is the biggest cluster (&$% known ro man. I HAVE to use Walgreens for my Part D plan. They are always UNBELIEVABLY slow and inept every single time for a prescription refill. I get a notice for pick up with a day and time, and there is always some delay and excuse. I am 15 miles away from the pharmacy out in the country. Today I get an email that my refill will be ready today at 10:50 am. I show up at 10:50 and its not ready they tell me to come back in 5 hours. WTH, I don't live across the street, I am 20-25 minutes away. THIS chain is a JOKE, they don't give a hoot about the customer, and they are too usk unskilled to keep up. The people are very nice, but they don't know how to get the damn job done. This happens to each of my refills, almost every single time. They are a JOKE. Use them as a last resort. read more

Worse customer service I have experienced in a very long time. I am switching to another place. Every time with out fail they don't have my prescription ready or they take for ever to get me my prescription. They do not communicate and have a bad attitude. They need to fire everyone and hire new people that are not so stupid and lazy. read more

I had an appointment in La Grange on Friday and this was the first time that I stopped into this Walgreens. I have to say that customer service was top notch. Upon entering the store, the manager on duty said good morning and the associate working the front checkout also greeted me. Great customer service definitely. The shelves were stocked and there were not any items missing from the shelf. That definitely shows that the staff does a great job ensuring products are put out once the truck arrives. The sales tags were properly identified and they had displays built at the front of the store and through the middle of the store promoting items for Easter. Overall, the store is great and is located in a great location for the greater La Grange community. Definitely recommend this location to anyone in the area. read more

I thought because Walgreens was in my neighborhood I should switch my prescriptions from CVS in Crestwood to La Grange. I picked up my prescription at Walgreens and the (pill was quite different). I asked to speak to the pharmacist and she looked visibly annoyed and spoke down to me and made me feel like I had no idea about what the pill (should look like) that I have taken for the past 13 years.....yeah...I called my Dr the next day and had the meds sent back to CVS. I will never ever use the Walgreens pharmacy again. It's all about how you speak to your customers when they have questions. The Pharmacy needs a LOT of help. whether using the drive-through or the inside counter, wait times are terrible. Took 20 minutes to pick up a prescription yesterday. I was number one at the counter, and there was a car in the drive-through. Pharmacy personnel won't even look at you, let alone acknowledge you when you step up to the counter. Woefully understaffed, and complicated verification protocols to contend with. If my insurance would allow it, I'd go back to Walmart or Kroger. read more

I love Walgreens. Very helpful staff, albeit exhausted pharmacy staff. But one thing I hate is the restrooms! It's like a gas station. However Thornton's beats them by a mile! That's not just this location. Anywhere I go it's in bad shape. Unless it's a location that they took over through a merger, like in Andalusia,AL. That one is nice. Hope it stays that way. It's like they have a corporate policy against nice and clean bathrooms. Not one of them has a working paper towel dispenser! I've just finally had enough and moved my prescriptions elsewhere. Who wants to buy food or sanitary items after seeing that. AND that's where the staff goes to wash hands!! Who wants to touch anything in that store after seeing that! read more

I can see why there's a Walgreens at just about every corner, they know their stuff!! My meds have always been able to be filled in a reasonable amount of time, and when I had to start taking Synthroid (thyroid med) the pharmacist made it a point to tell me how to take this med - which is important for proper absorption of this med! Prices of the other items inside can be a bit pricey, so be sure to pay attention to their circular. You can also get better deals sometimes if you're carrying your member card on you... Or if you key in your phone number at checkout (which is what I do!) Another plus about Walgreens is that if you're traveling and need a prescription refilled, you can get it filled at the closest Walgreens to you! Your info is already in their system! Talk about a sigh of relief! (I've had a doctor call in a few days of med before when I forgot mine to the nearest Walgreens as well!) read more

Just found out that Walgreens will now require a card to get special prices. I hate to have to carry a card for a place to shop so I guess I won't be shopping here anymore. I will not shop at a place that requires a card. read more

I purchased sunscreen about 2 weeks ago and I got a sunburn so I checked the expiration date and it was expired. I went in to exchange and everything they had in stock was expired. I only found one that was not expired, it was the same exact product and I tried to exchange it but they wanted to charge me $4 extra, for the same exact product. If anything they should have given me a product and a refund since I had to go through all of this trouble and all of their stuff is expired. I'm very disappointed. read more

Go to another Walgreens for your pharmacy needs. Overall, Walgreens as a company has been fantastic. However, this location is quite another story. Calling to talk to the pharmacy staff results in a wait time averaging around 20 minutes, and we've had a couple prescriptions filled incorrectly. Even the other local Walgreens know that this particular pharmacy does not have their stuff together. read more
