I understand why this place gets low reviews. I came to the drive thru to pickup a prescription. There were no cars in the drive thru. As I pulled in I saw the girl in there. Our eyes met as I pulled in. Instead of acknowledging me, she walked away and stood by the pharmacist. After about a minute she came to the window and helped me. I gave her my info and she turned around and bent down to a container to look for my meds, the entire time talking to the pharmacist. There were no other Customes, just me. She took her time finding it, took it over to the pharmacist and stood there for another minute before coming to the window. The point is, customer service is not high on the priority list it seemed. I've seen this girl before and deal with her as a walk in and she always seemed a little more motivated than she did this night. I don't understand why, but I do understand people's frustration with this drive thru giving poor service. It's not the first time and I know sadly it won't be the last. It won't change so accept it for what it is. read more

It does matter what Walgreens you visit, there is always a wait to pick up drugs. I'm not sure if the wait is due to inefficient systems within the store and/or lack of staff. The wait is painful! When nobody was in line we manage to get in and out within 10 minutes through drive through when picking up. Previously we were third in line and we waited for the first driver for over 15 minutes with no movement thus we thought this could be a 45 minutes ordeal to pick up medication so we gave up. This pharmacy does live up to its bad reviews. I suggest going to the other Walgreens in Durango. It took 6 hrs for them to fill a prescription. I kept calling the phone lines and was kept being told plz hold. The phone line hung up multiple times and I just stopped trying to call. After waiting for so long, they finally told me they don't have my antibiotic in stock and I'm very sick and need my medicine. I have never seen this type bad customer service I strongly recommend hiring new staff who are attentive to their phone calls and making sure that if prescriptions are out of stock to let the patient know sooner because 6 hrs is a long time. read more

They seem to have staff that is untrained and many who are unprofessional. Once I was told to go to urgent care for my anxiety medication that they could not fill and then learned after hours in urgent care that urgent care doctors do not prescribe controlled substances. Where are these techs getting their training? I know not at my school!! They should know this and not be telling patients wrong information. It also seems they never can answer the phone so now they have an answering service. This did NOT help. The answering service told me my Rx would be ready in two hours. I show up, they tell me that whoever told me that was wrong and they could not fill my rx. No one called no one bothered to tell me there was a problem. Two days later they still cant seem to get my Rx filled and I had to track them down and wait on hold several times with their answering service. It appears they are not professional, not properly trained, and perhaps do not have enough staff. It is truly a very poor service. This location needs to do a better job. I literally just got off the phone with a rude woman at the location pharmacy that told me I need to be more patient when calling to follow up on the status of my medication that has not been available for a month. This way of speaking to customers is rude and unacceptable as I was just checking the status and there was no reason for her to say that to me. read more

The pharmacy is very chaotic. They are always out of medications. They never have medications ready when needed. The line is very long no matter what time of day. Forget about calling. You will be on hold forever. I have never seen the same staff working there. This location just like the one at Durango and Deer Springs allows the pharmacy technician to give ANY vaccines. This change happened during the pandemic and still has not reversed since. If you're coming for a vaccination--ANY VACCINATION, then the pharmacy technician will give the vaccination. You go to the area that says COVID-19 vaccine check in but it's the check in for ALL VACCINATIONS. Fix the sign to say Vaccine Check-in. You may have someone lose their place in line by following directions. When scheduling your appointment online, they have you complete a form. It's a waste of time because they ask the same questions in person and have yo7r complete a form. Alright Walgreens, I am a believer in working smarter and NOT harder. While there's multiple people in the pharmacy area working, I was the only one waiting to get a vaccine. One person picked up mess in the pharmacy. At this point, I'm not sure why there's a long wait. I've been waiting for 25 minutes and counting and still have not received my vaccine. There's not a lack of workers. I've counted nine. Yes, I'm still waiting and haven't been waited on. At this point, I would NOT recommend this location either. It's evident that Walgreens management doesn't care. It's past my appointment and I came early as it stated online so that my appointment wouldn't be canceled. To the regional manager and CEO, please get these store locations under control, so that customers can come in and out in a timely manner. On Thursday, February 27th in the morning, I called in a prescription refill to store #07864. The automated system said it would be ready after 9:00am on Saturday, March 1st. That morning I called the pharmacy and was told that it did not come in and it would be in on Sunday after 1:00pm. On Monday morning,, March 3rd, I called again and was told that they do not get deliveries on Sundays and the person who told me that was probably a store operator. I was told it would be ready that afternoon after 2:00pm. I called after 3:00pm and was told it did not arrive. Since I needed immediately, I asked if they could find another store which had it in stock. The pharmacist seemed put out and claimed to look up another nearby store which had two and I should call them. Shouldn't it be up to the pharmacy to make that call to locate my prescription?! She gave me the number and when I called that pharmacy, they said they do not have any. I was about to go to back to #07864 when the pharmacist called to say they did have my prescription after all. It seems that I got misinformation EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! Nobody seems to understand the process or what they have in stock. I barely got an apology with some mumbled excuses about how the process is being revised. My experience with this has been so horrible that I no longer wish to patronize ANY Walgreens pharmacy, for ANY reason. When I tried to submit a complaint on the Walgreens website, the button to identify the store did not work but I put the store number in my text. I used to come to Walgreens for prescriptions, but swapped over to Savon (albertsons), due to double coverage insurance. My review is only for the pictures at Walgreens. I had ordered pictures online through their photo store. I was able to easily upload photos to Walgreens and place the order, same-day. The order was ready within a few hours after placed online. If you order photos from walgreens, typically, they have coupons online. Usually the coupons range from 20% off to 50% off. Before placing your order, check online for coupons. Inside the store, was clean and well stocked. They had a variety of groceries, home furnishings, seasonal items, medicine, beauty products etc. Getting to this Walgreens is relatively easy. It's off of the 95/Durango exit. The cross-streets are Farm/Durango. It's next to a few local businesses such a Dairy Queen, Little Caesars, 7-eleven, and a few others. Parking can be really bad during the evening hours. I also always see the drive-thru pharmacy packed! If you need to pick up your prescriptions, I'd recommend just going inside the Walgreens. read more

Went through the drive thru like I have for years and was in the outer lane. I could barely hear the person and eventually made out that he found my Rx and was sending it over. I sat for 15 minutes, it hasn't come yet. I ring the call button and am told to wait, lane 1 is first yet he just arrived. I wait for another 5 minutes as I overhear the driver in lane 1 disputing the dosage before calling again. I am told "wait for lane 1" and they hand up. I drive around and walk inside. They had giving my Rx to the driver in lane 1. Additionally, the receipt says processed at 7:40pm so yes, they likely forgot to send it over in the tube but we're too busy being rude and hanging up to discover this. The pharmacist tech acted like it was my fault and said take it and leave as he tossed the bag at me. How about owning your mistake and not being a dick, you didn't verify who I was before throwing a Rx at me and telling me to leave. I was in disbelief how wreck less he was. The guy who originally took the order was nowhere to be found and the second guy you could hear clearly over the intercom. Seems like additional training is required. read more

Every year my grandma comes to visit and they always have the same excuse. Insurance won't cover my grandmas rejection medicine for her liver transplant. But somehow with a "discount card " it goes from 500$ to 30$. Pretty sure they are just playing with us on their end. Anyways this is the last time. I'll never come here again. Dropped off my prescription on Friday then got a call the same day it was ready. Came today to pick it up and spent 5-10 minutes arguing with the lady in the front. She told me they didn't have my prescription ready actually they didn't even have an order at all for my prescription. They were not even on file. Which led to someone almost watching the tapes then somehow amazing they popped up. I was told they were in a "bin" and no one knows how they got there. This place is a mess, the pharmacy drive thru is supper slow and they really enjoying their time to fill the prescriptions, The head of pharmacy Rize Casyao short Asian pharmacist is really rude and disrespectful not to mention that the last time I was there she charged my credit card two times and I had to go inside to clear the mater however she was not able to fix the issue claiming that the shift manager is not there so I ended up disputing the charges. On the other hand James McRae who was called to resolve the matter was really respectful and helpful although he could not do much to resolve the issue however he was a nice person. Wow. I should have read the reviews before coming to this location. This Pharmacy staff is by far one of the worst, most rude, unhelpful of any staff I have seen. There is a deliberate attempt to make people go away. I was just watching the people in front of me one after the other just be so poorly treated. I have never walked out of a health facility with the clear intention of not only never visiting them again, but letting everyone I know to stay away. There needs to be clear career choices for this staff who has no business interacting with the public. If I was management, I would do a complete overhaul of the staff and introduce to new employees the basic understanding of common courtesy. There are a lot of options just down the street. read more

I waited in line for 2 hours once i got to the front theres a little sign that says covid testing only in left line . I called and they said "its not our problem . Go to the back of the line on the left and wait again . " they have no signs towards the back of the line where the lines start to direct you to which lane . They only have one little sign with the smallest print all the way up at the front . Called got hung up on 3 times and each person just said its not our problem go figure it out . They have given me wrong prescriptions they won't answer the phone period and if you take 4 or 5 different meds they get them ready one at a time so you have to make several trips there. My prescription was mistakenly sent to the Walgreens on Deer Springs and Decatur. They told my dr. my prescription would be ready with 2 hours. I finally went to the store to get my prescriptions that should been ready (it's now 8 hours after they received the order from my dr.) I had oral surgery that day and needed pain meds and antibiotics so I would not get an infection. Long story short, their computers were down, my pain meds weren't ready and they would not give me my antibiotics that were to prevent me getting an infection even though I could have paid cash for them since their system was down. They couldn't print my prescription for me to go to CVS or another Walgreens either because their system was down. So I called Walgreens on Farm and Durango and they worked very hard to try to pull up my prescription. When they were finally able to, they filled my prescription and had it ready within 15 minutes. They went above and beyond (especially Mayra) and I was able to get my pain meds AND my antibiotics. They really showed they cared. In the future, I will ALWAYS make sure my prescriptions are filled at the Farm and Durango Walgreens! read more

I have been going to Walgreens for years and take narcotic medication for severe spinal injuries. My doctor wrote me a prescription increasing my meds and my insurance already approved them. My husbands father is in the hospital and may not make it through the night so I was at home packing and my husband went to the pharmacy to get my prescription only to be told that because my doctor increased it I have to wait 2 extra days to pick it up. This means my husband has to go alone and hopefully his dad makes it until I can get on the road Tuesday morning. It would make sense if my prescription was decreased to have to wait longer but it was increased. Not to mention because of their lack of give a shit my husband may be alone in Arizona when he loses his father! Horrible people and horrible customer service! Walgreens can kiss my ass and I will tell every soldier I know considering my husband is in the Army! The pharmacy at this place really irks me. I had a two-part prescription. The first one I picked up no problem. It took me FOUR times to get my second one. When I received the first part of my prescription, it said to come back in three days. I came back in four days, and it wasn't ready. I was told to come back in an hour, after waiting in line for 25 minutes. So I come back three hours later, and then I was told that my prescription would be ready tomorrow, after waiting 30 minutes this time (I was even told the specific date). I asked why this was, and was told it was because of the way my doctor wrote the prescription. Okay, this may be possible since I saw a different doctor this last time. But then, the next day I was told the EXACT same thing. That my prescription would be ready tomorrow. Now I was pretty ticked off, since this had been my third time here. Again, I was told this was because of the way my doctor wrote the prescription. Then why did you guys tell me yesterday that my prescription would be ready today? So I had to come back the NEXT day, and finally received my prescription. I wasted close to two hours waiting in the really long lines! So annoying. read more

Actually this review is for the staff at the pharmacy. They were so kind to work with me regarding my sons vaccine so he could return to school. When we arrived they were swamped but still managed to squeeze us in. the gentleman who assisted us was excellent and the lady who administered the VAX was so polite and sweet. I know I read some terrible reviews but keep in mind that everyone is doing the best they can in tough and trying times. Instead of judging , put yourself in their shoes. This isn't an easy job, and they're here servicing a community they best they can with the staff they have. I have been a customer at this Walgreens Pharmacy for the past 8 years and have never had any problems up until the last three years. I have gotten the same prescriptions for years, and one three different occasions I have been shorted on one of my medications and on the other medication given 40+ tablets OVER what I was prescribed. Of course I went down there again as soon as I got home, the first time this happened and I didn't even get an apology. They just rolled their eyes, so I asked to speak to the pharmacist. He was a very nice, older man with ginger hair and he was very understanding. Since that first occasion, this has happened 2 more times to me. Each time the same thing. Today, I switched insurance and needed to drop off my monthly refills. The pharmacy tech (younger guy, a lot of tattoos, and shaved sides of his head) ignored me standing there for 10 minutes just talking to a coworker. When I finally had enough and asked someone else at the front to get someone to help me, the other pharmacy tech came up to the window and said "what do you want?" When I told her I needed to drop of my prescriptions, she yanked them out of my hand and said they aren't contracted with my insurance anymore and to go somewhere else as she THREW my cards and prescriptions at me. I am completely SHOCKED by the customer service I received from this pharmacy today. You would think being a customer of 8 years actually means they treat you with respect? As a healthcare worker myself, I am genuinely upset to think that these pharmacy techs are probably treating elderly patients and sick patients like this too.
