I have mixed feeling about this place. Every other Walgreens has their pharmacy open earlier. It's very difficult to they what I need with their hours. Are they only serving the non-working folks? Their hours reflect that. Otherwise my experience has been good. I got my flu shot here and they delivered it very well and provided good education on it. read more

My opinion the worst pharmacy in libertyville. I was told that my prescription was declined by my doctor and that's a lie, then I was told To pick it up Today and then I was told It's too soon. This pharmacy uses pharmacy technicians that appear to Be poorly responsive. We use LAkes's pharmacy in Mundelein however they don't handle Test strips. I would recommend not using Walgreens an independent pharmacy such as Lakes is much more responsive and they have trained pharmacist who handle each prescription. read more

I have been using this Walgreens since it was built. I had a problem with my prescription and initially the staff was helpful. But after 90 minutes of me calling insurance companies and Walgreens for help the staff refused to help me. I ultimately had to transfer the prescription to CVS and they just would not help. Walgreens corporate is struggling with their stock price at lows and revenue not meeting expectations. I will never use this store or any other Walgreens moving forward. So sad for them... read more

Disappointed in my neighborhood Walgreen's. Some of the people working in the store are nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The store of course has all the essentials and is usually well-stocked no matter what time you go. The pharmacy on the other hand--*shudder*. The staff are few and usually unfriendly. I've had multiple appointments scheduled online here--filled out paperwork beforehand and everything, but they NEVER see the appointment on their list. As a result, I have to fill out the same paperwork again and wait a while. Advice: If you have a vaccine appointment (which should in theory take 5-10 minutes), allow yourself at least an hour or change locations. At other locations, notably Mundelein (Lake St.), this doesn't seem to be a problem. read more

My review is for the pharmacy. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. Just this week I spent 30 minutes in the drive thru only to drive away. I came back and was told my meds weren't ready. As I pulled away I got a text that they were ready. Went back to pick up and one of them was only filled with 27 of the 90 pills it was supposed to have. How does a pharmacy mess up this bad??!? read more

Store clerk was extremely rude. 4:30pm, 6/3/24. Everyone is standing in line to be checked out. This old lady grabs some items she abandoned on the counter and cuts in front of the entire line. The one clerk starts ringing her up despite her not being the next customer in line. When people in the line started protesting the female clerk threatens them all with getting kicked out of the store. Extremely unprofessional. She should have just told the rude line jumper to go to the end of the line. Instead, she threatened the customers who actually stood in line. read more

This is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Customer service in the pharmacy is atrocious. They regularly tell me prescriptions are ready when then are not and make mistakes with insurance. The staff is not knowledgeable nor helpful. You will also wait in line for 40+ minutes to have an incredibly frustrating experience. Every time I need the SAME prescription refilled, I have to have multiple contacts with the pharmacist. I understand it's hard to get staff but that is no reason for the staff to be so rude. I had an appointment for a vaccine. Saw pharmacy staff was busy even though no one was ahead of me and expected a wait. Thy never apologized for the delay much less looked at me. The pharmacist was very direct and never smiled. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the lady who administered the shot. She was very nice. They gave me what I thought was a $5 coupon. When I brought my purchase up to the counter, I was rudely told that it was not a coupon but credit to my Walgreens account. Totally my fault for not reading it fully. I decided not to take the item since it was overpriced without the coupon. I apologized for my error dispute the fact that the young girl at the counter rolled her eyes. Instead of acknowledging my apology she walked away. I had forgotten why I never go to Walgreens. read more

Went to get a few things things, nothing major. Saw a deal and proceeded to checkout. The bill was not in line with my expectations, so I stated to the clerk what I thought the prices were. He handled it very well, called the manager and I showed them what I saw which led to my expectation of price. Bottom line, manager honored the price, even though the stocking was wrong. Pretty cool. Sure, it was a $10 loss to walgreens, but they acknowledged their error and made good. I like that and would encourage you to take your business to this location. read more

RUN AWAY! Every time a prescription is sent In to them I get the recorded phone calls about issues with united healthcare and that they will call once they resolve them. The make NO attempt to resolve anything and NEVER call for the pick up. I have gone almost 48 hours of no sleep with no type 1 diabetes nerve pain. When you call them will get an automated phone system that will put you on hold. It WILL hang up in you. read more

I went to the Take Care clinic at this Walgreen's today - my wait was about an hour, which wasn't bad, considering this was the height of "school physical" season. The Nurse was knowledgeable and did a strep test for me - the entire bill came to only $82 and they billed my insurance company and didn't even require a copay. I would definitely go here again for a minor illness like this. **They even called me two days later to see how I was feeling, although I got the impression they were expecting me to say "better" because when I said I was just as sick, they told me to call my regular doctor! :D read more

This Walgreens is excellent except trying to make an appointment for their health care clinic since Advocate Took over the Clinics. Now it is virtually impossible to make an appointment at the clinic. The Walgreens website immediately opens an advocate site which does not allow you to make an appointment. I tried on my lap top and iPhone on google, chrome (it does not allow safari). This is so frustrating because you're sick and you just want to make an appointment. In the past you could simply open the Walgreens website and make an appointment but now it only brings up advocate website. When you elect make an appointment it DOESN'T. My MDs are in Chicago so I have used this Walgreen Health Clinic for years for minor conditions, now I won't. If Advocate reads this review - FIX IT! read more

This was my first time stopping here and thankfully I wasn't with my child. Awful customer service. Nobody greets you when you come in the store even though the manager and another employee or right there working on a display in the front of the store. The cashier right there at the door also did not greet me. The entire time that we were in the store nobody asked If I needed any help even though I was clearly searching for items. Trying to get into line to check out, I notice 2 employees standing around the isles chatting with the manager randomly about the virus going around. But there was a lien starting to form and they didn't care. Finally arriving up to the counter I ended up greeting the cashier first. I then had to ask him if it was OK for me to type in my number which he should've asked me. He was very quiet and very hostile. Then after finally ringing up my groceries I was waiting for him to hand them to me And also my receipt. I put all of my receipts in my wallet to keep track of them and he didn't ask me if I would like it with me or in the bag, he then also just left the bag there and start looking around behind me in over my head after he put it in the bag. He then prompted me with a "goodbye" and never handed me my items, so I ended up having to reach over to him where he left my items out of my way and then straighten them up and also the bag before leaving. Not to mention the older larger african American male who was the cashier - didn't have his name tag available for me to see to add that to this review, but he works the day shift in the middle of the day. Do NOT visit this clinic. I went for a step throat test. I asked how much the visit would cost and verified that they were in-network per my health insurance. They were in-network, and I was told the test would be around $43, which it was. When the bill came, they also charged me a $286 "New Patient" fee. The entire visit took about 15 minutes, and I entered all of my patient information into their system myself. I was shocked to see that they added a $286 new patient charge to my bill. read more

The immediate clinic staff here is horrible. The hours for the clinic on a Monday was until 7 pm. I got here around 6 pm due to pink eye. When I walked over to check - in the computer said they are no longer accepting patients. Okay that's kind of stupid they closed an hour before but whatever so I started walking away. As I was leaving, a mother and her two kids walked in and headed to the clinic where they sat down and started filling out the forms and was talking to a middle aged chubby blond haired lady in scrubs. Puzzled because I thought they weren't accepting any more patients I walked over and asked that chubby lady whether they were accepting patents right now. She said "no" so I asked if the family next to me is checking in . All of a sudden the chub lady got defensive and asked if I knew them. I said no and then she immediately says that their information and privacy Is protected my hipa regulations and that it's private and I have no right know. Like WHAT? I don't give a crap about who they are and what they came in for. I explained that I'm only asking because I came in earlier before them and I'm wondering why you are accepting them and not me. Then the old fat chick calms down a bit and told me they are by appointment. Okay appointments END AT 5 PM. Fuck this place. Very rude staff. I'm a medical student, I know very well about HIPA regulations and if that chubs white lady is a doctor I'm very ashamed. This pharmacy need a complete revamping! They truly need to get there pharmacy together. I transferred my prescriptions from CVS to This Walgreens and Oh! My God! The have told them 7 times that the prescriptions that transferred do not need to filled. I am still receiving phone calls about picking up the prescriptions even after they stated the prescriptions will be archived until I need them refilled. I just received yet another call about the same thing. I hate to be mean/rude but why do people not listen. It's like they are trying to force me to pick up prescriptions I do not need. read more

Apparently there are items on display (don't worry though you won't have any idea you're selecting them) that aren't for sale (aka: shampoo) and if you pick them up and try to purchase them, the cashier will literally make you feel like you're trying to steal something. Most bizarre experience I've ever had. Terrible assistant manager: If your sale pricing is listed on an item - & 12 variations of the item..... honor the price. The assistant store manager declined to honor the price advertised ( on multiple items) because it expired yesterday. They had mot removed any tags therefore should have honored it and then removed them. Nope. Bad business. The worst of the worst pharmacy. Long long waits at the counter and drive-through, if you call you'll be on hold a LONG time and then there's a good chance they'll hang up on you instead of answering. Staff can't speak English well, and the person working the window has to hold the prescription up to the window so the customer can read what they're getting. I witnessed this during a 30 min wait at the counter while another staff member went on lunch break.. oh yes, I had to wait his entire lunch break to get waited on. The Walgreens automated messaging system is inefficient. Why not just text customers when their prescription is ready instead of making customers go through a long menu of selections to find out their prescription is ready. Can't blame all these issues on covid, but on poor management and bad staffing. This pharmacy has been going downhill for a while. I switched to a pharmacy with reasonable wait times, staff who speak English and text notifications. read more

I think the previous 5 posts were either from a parallel universe or paid reviewers. My experience(s) has been 180 degrees to opposite. The first time I attempted to use the services of clinic my wait was over an hour with no end in sight. Given if your sick you're willing to wait but what really got me was the complete lack of customer service. The assistant was rude and completely unhelpful when I inquired about how long I would have to wait on top of the hour I was already there.. Seeing that I had to get to work I ended up leaving... About 4 months later I came down with a killer sinus infection and unfortunately, I only faintly remembered how poor my first experience was at this location (shame on me). Shocking to report: SAME EXPERIENCE.. This time I asked to speak to the store manager, ended up speaking with an assistant who upon hearing my complaint, nodded and commented that he gets a lot of complaints on the clinic and since its not a part of Walgreens, he can't really do anything about it... REALLY? Last I checked the clinic was in your store. Given I am only one customer but this big business attitude of accepting poor customer service is just incredible. Attempted to make an appointment at their health clinic for my sick daughter online. I clicked on an 11:00 time slot, then was prompted to enter my information. That took me no more than a minute, but when I finished and hit Submit, I was informed that the slot was no longer available. So apparently it's a race to see who can enter their personal info first? They don't hold the slot you've clicked on until you've finished entering that info? I had to drive up to Antioch, 30 miles away, for weekend sick hours with her pediatrician. Not good. So don't expect to get your selected time slot unless you've taken some typing classes. Completely illogical. read more

This place sucks! I took my 12 year old daughter in today with me and I was buying some wine for my dinner with relatives tonight and they asked for my daughters ID. I happily explained that it was for myself and my relatives only and they told me I couldn't get it. The lady was incredibly rude to me and I will be reporting her name to the manager.
