i had a deep root canal earlier today, came here after work. Was in line by 6:57pm. two older women were in front. 6:59 the lady in front of me gets helped, I'm the last in line. I see an employee walking around, he notices the line! still proceeds to walk around. 7:00pm hit he comes up to the register and said come back tomorrow. I mentioned I was in line before 7 and saw you just walking around and didn't help. he proceeded to say to come back tomorrow. I asked for his name, he said Jacob! i asked if his supervisor was gonna be in tomorrow, he went on and said that he was the pharmacist! very unprofessiona! I need my pain killers and anti-biotics so I can heal my root canal! he also mentioned that they were open all day, should of came earlier! The pharmacy department needs some serious training on customer service. I called to ask a very simple question and the attitude and response of the pharmacist was truly shocking. Had the worst customer service there. Walked in tonight to buy a $25 phone card. The store was empty and cashier was standing there chatting with security guard. Went over say hi and politely ask where can I find the phone card and this cashier didn't even say hi and as it I am bothering her by asking the question. She told me " At the end of aisle 4, so I went all the way the aisle 4 and saw only footwear products so I went back and told her I couldn't find it and her response was again rude and as it I am stupid and bothered to her . This time she said it's in the middle so I told her ok but you told me at the end just now that's why I didn't find it . Right away she told me open your eyes and listen. I am a 58 years old man don't need a punk ass young girl standing at the counter and telling me that especially it was her that make the mistake and working as cashier / customer service. . Totally rude and inexcusable. I went and pick up the card and she already had the attitude because I corrected her and didn't even want to look at me when I proceeded to the counter to pay. So I tossed the card at the counter and she took the money and throw it at the counter in very mean attitude so I asked her why she need to do that to me and she quickly accused me of throwing the card at her. I live in the neighborhood and shop there frequently and this is the first time I been treated so bad , humiliating way. I am looking to call the store tomorrow and talk to the manager or person in charge cause I don't want anyone have to go through this bad service by this girl who is Latina, tattooed and semi curly hair . Walgreens in fine. The pharmacists here and associates do their job and are somehow still friendly. I think what people don't like here is sometimes the pharmacy can be really busy, and people get upset that they have to wait. I think the customers need to chill out and let them do their job the best they can. It's not their fault so many other local Walgreens and riteaid stores have closed. My only complaint is that the homeless people sometimes make it uncomfortable for the consumer outside in the parking lot. Also, I saw some dude shop lift once and when security went to stop him, the guy sprayed the security guard with pepper spray. People over here are crazy, but it's not Walgreens fault! read more

Nice inventory, but woah... That pharmacy. Multiple times I've waited hours (and hours) for them to check their voicemail to confirm prescriptions. Staff is mediocre and unhelpful. Was walking across the store to the Pharmacy, security guard standing in front of the Pharmacy line (with one person in line) spots me and says the Pharmacy is closed. I look at my watch and it's 6:59pm. Granted, showing up that late is not ideal. But come on, at least stay open until your sign says you're closed (7pm). Not to mention, a few days before I had requested a refill through the pharmacy, to which they said my doctor denied the refill. Only to visit the doctor 3 days later and have them tell me that they were never contacted by the Pharmacy, and would have been happy to refill it for them... during other visits, I routinely wait in line for over 10-15 minutes for a prescription pick-up, while they chat it up or while the one pharmacist is on the phone.... Just overall unpleasant experiences. Seems like no one wants to be there. read more

The pharmacists at this location was rude and unhelpful. I brought in a prescription from my dentist who forgot to put the date on it. I took it back and the dentist completed it with a different colored ink. Although SHE called and verified the prescription SHE still would not fill it. Her treatment of me was personal. 5 stars for the pharmacy staff! And probably about 3 for the main store (nothing special) but having a phenomenal pharmacy merits 4 stars total. When I didn't have insurance and the cream prescribed for my staph infection cost a heartbreaking, wallet-wrenching amount, one of the main pharmacists went out of his way to set me up with a Walgreens script card. This saved me a little over $100, allowing me to breathe a small sigh of relief. Every pharmacist I've interacted with has been friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They truly go the extra mile to turn an otherwise arduous errand into a convenience. This is a drastically different experience than I've had at other pharmacies (where the norm is long lines, misquoted wait times, lack of expertise, and slow, indifferent attitudes). It's so refreshing for a pharmacy to genuinely care about putting both the "customer" and "service" in customer service...instead of just adding "vice" to apathetic service like most pharmacies. read more

These two gentlemen closed the doors at 10:57pm on company time and would not let me in to grab 1 thing. He literally closed the doors in my face as I was walking in. I did point out to him that it was not 11pm yet, the time he took to argue strategically so that he could show me his phone at exactly 11pm, is the time it would've tooken me to grab my one item, pay and been gone out of the door by 11pm. I'm giving this location 3 stars, not because of the store itself but because of a beautiful and humane employee (a woman with glasses) who made me feel served and seen. While there was only one cashier behind the counter during my check out, she allowed two people to check out ahead of me knowing that I had been there before. Even I, being the most polite woman that I am, allowed the two people to move ahead. But it did not hinder the fact that I was not served appropriately and didn't feel that I was. I'm not sure what the employee's name was, but I can only assume she was a middle-aged (late 30s or early 40s) from Latinx descent with blonde hair. She swooped in at the counter at just the right time and checked me out accordingly. It was so appreciated that I had to let her know in the parking lot right afterward. Whomever you are, I hope that you are reading this review right now and truly receive the appreciation I had to give. If possible, avoid this pharmacy. The dark big young man at the pharm counter was very customer friendly. However the 2 white women who seemed to be his superiors can only be described as females of the canine species. Altho the parking lot is great and other staff are fine. Worst pharmacy EVER. I normally go to the Walgreens on Wilshire but this one on Highland was closer to my house. I called before I went and the pharmacist told me they had my prescription in stock. When I get there an hour later they tell me they don't have it and they cannot order the medication and I need to just randomly go back and check to see if they have it in next week! What!? The Walgreens on Wilshire would hold my prescription if they did not have it in stock and order the meditation. But this Walgreens wants me to just waste my time and go in to see if they have it in stock!? Are they high? What is this 1959? The pharmacist told me this is their policy and it's different from the other Walgreens. It's all one big corporation !! LIES! It's just called being LAZY. In case Walgreens is reading this and wants to fire the pharmacist, it was the little Asian girl who looks like she just graduated from grad school. I came here with my cousin for an ice chest and Fuji water for our road trip back home. 4 stars because I loved the woman who made our experience so lively! And for how cheap we got our waters, ice, and ice chest. The large Fuji water bottle were on sale for 2/$4 and the ice chest was literally $5 with my cousins employee discount. SUCH A POSITIVE BLESSING FOR SUCH GREAT DEALS! (Or it just was a lucky day for us) Even the workers were fighting over the last ice chest left on the shelf. The store was well organized and clean, and had everything we needed which was awesome! I'm glad that their service was grade A, and it was a quick checkout as well. The only reason I gave this Walgreens a 4 star instead of 5 was the ratchet people outside of the area. It made it seem sketchy to go inside, but hey, I shouldn't have judged the book by it's cover. Anyway, if you're visiting the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this was a convenient place to go to for water and what not, so I definitely would recommend for both tourists and locals! If I had to choose any drugstore as a favorite, I'd pick Walgreens. Especially this Walgreens, the staff are always so friendly and helpful. It's very clean and organized and parking is almost always available. I do have different drugstores I go to for different things, but I will only go to Walgreens for my prescriptions. My prescriptions are always a few dollars cheaper here than Rite Aid, which is a bonus - who doesn't like saving a few bucks - and I really like the staff working the pharmacy. Karishma, Constantine, and Graham are very nice and knowledgeable. I also like Walgreens 'Nice' brand products, they're very good, if you haven't tried them yet, give them a try. read more

Come Saturday when I was ready to pick it up they told me they never received doctor approval. They gaslighted me into thinking I never had a conversation with anyone the day prior and they they raised their voices. Do not trust this pharmacy with your medication needs. Not really, but I will say this, the staff has always been extra nice and let me use the bathroom, which is incidentally located down an elevator and deep into the underground of Walgreens, but they are always cool about it and that's good since I have 2 babies kicking me in the bladder all day long. Anybody who writes a negative review on this location is simply writing negative reviews every chance they get. The guys in the pharmacy are over the top helpful. They go way beyond what I have received in the way of service from any other pharmacy. The general merchandise staff is also very friendly an helpful. This is not one of the super Walgreens with a café and all the bells and whistles, but for what it is, the staff does a great job. For those writing negative reviews, maybe you ought to try a little kindness and see what results you get. I have never had a bad experience here. read more

I went in to get a cast cover and some ice as I just had a surgery and was newly walking in my post op ankle boot. Found a cane which was another thing I didn't even think to get. Person working there opened up a new line so I didn't have to wait and helped bring the ice out to my car. Super nice. I love this place. It's parking lot also is nice unlike the cvs around the way on vine where I think I might get murdered picking up Halloween candy. read more

I had the best experience with a girl named Jenny in the cosmetics department this afternoon. A lot of times when I walk into a drug store on a Sunday at 4, it can be a ghost land, but not with Jenny around!!! I told her exactly what I needed, she showed me where to go, and we proceeded to have a five minute conversation on matte lipstick versus gloss, and how exactly can we achieve the matte without drying our lips out She lead me to the perfect matte, followed my a matte with a gloss finish that'll keep it matte, just not dry it out. This review may seem silly and trite, but no one messes with a girl and her lipstick. Five stars for Jenny and how helpful she was, not to mention relatable and cool. read more

I had a terrible experience at the photo center at Walgreens on highland. After ordering prints online, I called to confirm that my prints would be ready in 20 min. When I arrived to the store, Jasmine, who I had spoken to on the phone had printed 5 of the 40 pictures, at the wrong size, and had stopped working on the order. When I asked what the confusion was she said that she had to change the paper and was busy with other work, and asked if I could come back later. This was very unprofessional since she confirmed on the phone that the order would be ready at this time. I had to wait a long time for the order to complete and would not come back here for future photo prints. read more
