Your typical Walgreens. We popped in here when in Louisville with friends, because one friend is on crutches and needed a crutch pillow type of thing for it, to make it more comfortable for her. The store looked nice and clean with lots of inventory, the only negative thing I can say is the line to check out was long, but they can't really help that. I made the visit to Walgreens today for my booster shot. Before stepping in I was wowed at the parking lot this spot has ... in the Highlands! Prime real estate for its customers and staff. Closely monitored as well. The pharmacy team was amazing. I was checked in right away alongside another customer. Upon signing a form I was taken back to another room for my shot. I was thankful to learn that if I lose my card that I can likely get another from Walgreens since all my vaccines have been there. I took a small spin around the store, which was very clean and organized. My favorite area will forever be the make up aisles - a small joy that trickles over from childhood and shopping at Walgreens with my mom. Another highlight is the card aisle and if you need a quick gift they also keep gift cards stocked. It's a great spot to print off pictures as well. I want to give my opinion of the Walgreens pharmacy, especially the one located at 2360 Stony Brook Louisville, KY. 40220. I arrived at the clinic with my appointment because I couldn't breathe very well and to my surprise they did not attend to me when on other occasions they attend to us immediately. And the reason they gave me was because I did not answer the calls they made, for some reason. They do not have the qualified staff to attend to people and on top of that they are sorry without empathy and without a sense of commitment. Also, I was going to pay them, it was not free. I am disappointed! On the other hand, I went to the Kroger clinic, they immediately attended to me and helped me with my problem. read more

This Walgreens has many of the things a lot of Walgreens have, my favorite is the security guard who accused me of parking there and drew his weapon. Seriously, you need a gun to guard a parking lot in the Highlands? That's what the world needs: oldsters with paranoia and guns. I did call the Walgreens and talked to the manager who seemed concerned and powerless in the situation. This Walgreens always seems a bit dingy inside, never quite clean and the people who work there never seem happy. I can't put my finger on why but that is unfortunate. There are ample rubbish bins up and down every street in Louisville - a thing I love about this city. There is no excuse for litter inside or outside a business. Maybe Grandpa Simpson should pull his gun on litter-bugs? Just a suggestion! They also have the condoms right by the diapers which is a gentle reminder that one is better for you than the other. read more

This is pretty much what you would expect for a Walgreens. Pharmacy. Make-up. Photos. Limited groceries. So why the four stars? I go to this Walgreens a lot, and I can say that I've always experienced great customer service. The clerk at the register has been speedy and friendly. The photo desk has answered my questions when asked. And the pharmacy has been helpful and has even gone the extra mile. During a recent visit, I was picking up a prescription refill for my husband. Come to find out his insurance at work recently changed. But instead of just telling me that they couldn't get it covered by insurance, they looked up a number I could have my husband call and told me what info to have him tell them to get the refill processed and covered. I left about 15 minutes later -- after my husband followed their directions and got his insurance to approve the refill -- with his medicine in hand, covered by insurance. They didn't have to go to that effort, but I'm so impressed that they did. The Walgreens photo department is also pretty speedy. I've submitted photos to print via their website, and typically they're done the same day. I'm happy to have this Walgreens in my neighborhood. read more

Open late, friendly staff. This location is clean, organized and has friendly staff. They're open late. So a good place to grab a drink or snack if needed. Or a mixer or bottle if you're headed to a get-together on Bardstown Road. Plenty of parking in their private lot. read more

The Walgreens located on Bardstown Road in the Highlands is close to my home and my go to for prescriptions, health and beauty aids and photos if I need one printed quickly. One of my favorite perks to shopping at Walgreens is how quickly you can bank points on their reward card. The Walgreens brand is a good substitution to most higher priced, nationally advertised brands. The store has a large parking lot and is easy to get in and out of. read more

I frequent this Walgreens location, because it is within walking distance of my house, so it's very convenient. I have my prescriptions filled here, I frequently shop for wine and occasionally other small items, and I stop by to pick up Redbox movies on a regular basis. I have also used their photo center on two occasions to make DVD videos of photographs. Overall, this location is fine. It's similar to any other Walgreens location you may visit. I've always had a good experience with the pharmacy. However, they are not getting a higher rating from me because on both occasions that I visited the photo center the staff in that section were extremely lacking in knowledge about how to make the videos I needed. These were both for funerals and I was in a rush, and both times it took over an hour to get the finished product. In addition to the long wait, the staff were not empathetic at all, given that I was there to make videos for loved ones who had recently passed away. (It may not be in their job description to have a good bedside manner, but it's just human decency to be nice to/gentle with someone who's just lost someone close to them.) In addition to the bad customer service in the photo department, a sales associate once yelled at me and accused me of trying to illegally buy alcohol or illegally send someone else in to purchase it for me. - I am thirty years old, I was trying to buy one regular-sized bottle of wine, I had forgotten my I.D. and didn't realize it until I opened my wallet to show it to the cashier, I was completely alone and did not make any attempt to have anyone else purchase the wine for me, and I buy wine in this location all the time, including from this cashier.. Now, I understand that they couldn't sell me the wine without my I.D., I don't have a problem with that at all, that's just the law; however, he did not have to yell at me repeatedly and accuse me of trying to do something illegal. The boyfriend and I visit this place a little too often to be honest. Whether we need wine, bourbon, smokes, toiletries, lazy day food, pharmaceuticals or cosmetics this is generally within the top three places we go on any given day. The employees are helpful and you generally get some sort of greeting from one when you walk into the door. John is my favorite cashier he's speedy and he doesn't take crap from anyone, he's been at Walgreens for like 15 years and I really enjoy my visits more often because he lets me get my stuff and doesn't judge me or ask any questions about why I need three bottles of wine. The parking situation is nice because it is a busy part of Baxter due to Bardstown Road dumping into it there and lots of residential houses nearby so that you can be a little more relaxed that no one will hit your car while shopping. The layout of the store is like any other one, they have kind of small aisles so you occasionally have to squeeze past someone, a small section of frozen foods, some beer and energy drinks/water/soda, a decent wine selection and a lacking bourbon selection to be in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Their range of cold medication and vitamins is immense and I tend to get lost trying to figure out which ones I need. They have crazy color box hair dye which is awesome because sometimes you have to touch up and don't have the time for the beauty store. They have your typical brands of hair care with a touch of salon brand like Nexus and John Frieda but nothing outside of what you would find at Target. The cosmetics aisle has more on it than some Walmarts so it's a good place to pick up a few pieces for your travel bag if you need it. Like I said I'm here frequently so I can't hate it. Be careful parking your car here when you're not going in to shop because they have signs posted that they're watching the lot with cameras and will tow your ass right off the lot if you're not a customer. read more

I don't know why, but I assumed that this location would be on par with the downtown location (read: dirty and weird). But I was pleasantly surprised. It's clean. It's big. They have a parking lot (notable in the Highlands). The employees were helpful. Because of it's convenient location, I know I will be back. And I won't dread going there. read more

This location of Walgreens is the pharmacy I use, mostly for its proximity to my house. I can't say I ever saw myself reviewing something so non-descript and generic but hey I guess the option for 3 stars is there for a reason. It's your typical Walgreens. They claim stars from me because of the great customer service I I experience whenever I'm in. This is my neighborhood Walgreens and it wouldn't be if I didn't like it. (I'm smack-dab in the middle of two locations, the scary one on Broadway, and the nice one in the Highlands.) I've not met a single person at this location that wasn't helpful and kind. Walgreens sells everything under the sun so I'm sure whatever you are looking for you'll find it here. It's clean, has it's own parking lot, has a drive-thru pharmacy, and a large assortment of vitamins; which is important to me. Don't make the mistake of parking your car in their parking lot at night and walking to a bar - they don't like that and will tow your car. :) I've seen it happen (no, it wasn't me!) Never been disappointed, always great customer service, simple selection of booze when you dont have time to get lost in old town liquors. Sometimes the workers can be a little creepy but they are always on the polite end. VERY preferable when it comes to convenience, too much stuff going on at the speedway across the street. read more

I called a prescription in about 3 hours before I planned to go pick it up. It took me at least 30 minutes to speak to someone on the to do this. I needed to update my insurance info so I did not do it electronic. We arrived to pick my prescription up and it was wasn't ready. No big deal the tech said to come back in another 2 hours because they were backed up. Still not a big deal. There was someone in front of us getting something filled and she said to just give her an hour. We come back 2 1/2 hours later and they are still not filled. I only had diabetic test strips. All they have to do is put the sticker on it and put them in the bag. My husband to pay out of pocket for them because I needed them when I HAVE INSURANCE. The woman working the front never batted an eye. This pharmacy is under staffed. read more

I never leave reviews but I'm beyond upset at the service I received as well as how I was spoken to. Especially considering they knew all of these scripts I were trying to pick up weren't even for me, but my partner who is at home recovering from surgery. I will not be back. read more

We parked in this Walgreens parking lot and decided to go inside to make it look like we were not going anywhere else as the signs posted clearly stated for Customer Only! We didn't end up buying anything as it wasn't our intention, but once inside, I wouldn't have made a purchase anyhow - the place seemed a bit disorganized - unclean - and the line inside a mile long. However, no matter how long that line was - there were no where near 60 poeple inside - therefore we were clearly not the only ones parking here that were not customers! read more

This afternoon my girlfriend and a few other female customers were repeatedly sexually harassed by another customer in front of the store manager. The man was intoxicated and belligerent and the manager did nothing to intervene. Unacceptable. read more

Avoid this Walgreens at all cost. Literally, if you take too long shopping, they will tow your car. I have a receipt to prove I was there. I went in and shopped, coming out we find no car, and several other customers (not sure if they shopped at Walgreens or not) without their cars. Complete scam. The towing company told us that the owner of this Walgreens has a "deal" worked out with them to tow as many cars as possible. He said that the owner of the tow company has been in business 3 months and has made a killing and been able to pay off all of their tow trucks already. read more

Had my car towed from this location. They were very unhelpful since they provided incorrect information of not only the location but the number for the company they use. Have seen several other reviews of not only this location but the tow company. The lot owner and tow company are very money hungry. I called Walgreens to inform them of my ordeal of finding my car and how none of the signs are correct and got hung up on by a manager after she said it's not her problem. This review is regarding the Walgreens Take Care Health Clinic. I went in for a visit on 2-21-12 for strep throat. I just got a bill last week, almost six months later. My insurance company would cover all but $12 dollars if Walgreens would have sent the bill back in March. There is a mistake on the bill and when I called customer service I had to speak to 3 different Filipino women because there was a problem with communication. Their English was terrible. I shouldn't have had to be on the phone for a total of one hour. The issue was still not handled properly. I had to ask that an American give me a phone call. Why is Walgreens out sourcing jobs to the Philippines??? Shame on you Walgreens. Sending jobs to other countries when the unemployment rate in the US is so high. My time was wasted trying to understand the women. I am boycotting Walgreens all together. Sorry you have to run your business so poorly. read more
