When the pharmacist argues with you about insurance, gets angry when you speak over their rude tone, and then hangs up on you, you quit going! What a waste of human. Called back and asked to speak to a manager and the manager put me on hold so they could go sit with the pharmacist to hear the rest of the call. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever experienced. There's always some sort of problem. They are constantly not filling my prescriptions unless I call and request that I do actually want to get the prescription. Okay? So when my doctor sends in the prescription, y'all decide that you just won't fill it? Weird. The first time I went there, the pharmacist refused to come near the register when I was standing and decided she need to stand at a computer 15ft away. I wanted to know how much the prescription would cost. My insurance just switched so I wanted to determine which pharmacy is the least expensive. I also had a prescription savings card that she just could not understand. I tried to explain it to her, she kept telling me I was wrong. I would ask her questions, she refused to answer. I asked her the price difference between a 30 day supply and a 90 day supply, she would tell me that my insurance might not cover that (which I knew wasn't true). I just wanted to know the cost. But she just would not answer. Ridiculous. The medication I take is very expensive. Without fail, every single time, the person helping me grills me about the cost. And I would appreciate that if they were asking in way that was like "I just want to make sure you are aware of the cost...?" But instead it's a whole bunch of attitude about how "don't actually need us to fill this because it's way too expensive". I know it's expensive. I need it. What am I supposed to do? If you were kindly asking out of concern or trying to let me know to make sure I knew, that would be great. But giving me attitude? Please stop. I'm not thrilled about the price either. At least be nice about it???? If you can, avoid at all costs. read more

Absolutely awful... the pharmacy treats their patrons terribly and have been rude every single time I come in. With all the rules and regulations with prescriptions I feel trapped. Pharmacy is the worst place in Madison Heights. They rarely answer calls, leave you on hold or just straight up hang up on you. The woman finally answered and said "let me go check" 8 minutes later their lunch break began and she never returned to answer very pertinent question if prescription was in stock and call was disconnected. Rude, unhelpful, unconcerned. Not the staff for a pharmacy. Will never use again. read more

This is my 4 time in line to try to pick up the same 2 prescriptions They don't have enough employees so they aren't open inside. I've been sitting in line for 50 minutes and there's still 7 cars in front of me. I'm only giving them one star because I can give them zero stars! This is BS. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I understand staffing shortages as almost every business around is experiencing the same shortages. What I do not understand is how rude this pharmacy staff is. I had my prescription sent over from my primary doctor at 3pm, I called to check on an update of when it will be ready around 4pm and they claimed they never received it. Contacted my doctor again and she called it in again at 4:30. I called around 5:30, was placed on hold for 24 minutes-when they finally answered I was told very quickly without any time to respond, "We are very busy, please hold." And was hung up on. Now I had been running a fever for the past 24-48 hours so I was extremely upset. So I had my roommate and my sister call, at the same time as me. I also asked my partner to stop there on the way home to try and figure things out, after what transpired I told him it was no longer necessary... Myself and my roommate had the same issue happen again, my sister finally got thru. She very sternly explained she also works in the medical field and knows how hard it can be but that I had been waiting to receive this medication all day and it was past 6:30 at this point. The pharmacist finally looked into it and said there was nothing in their voicemails and nothing sent over for me. After 4 hours of back and forth with Walgreens Pharmacy we had enough. We were able to contact my primary doctor and have my prescriptions sent over to CVS pharmacy across the street. What do you know, they received it right away!!! While unfortunately at this point it was 15 minutes until the pharmacy closed so my prescription would not be ready but I was able to pick up my prescription almost as soon as they opened the next day. I've never been one to write a review this detailed, let alone in general. But at this point Walgreens has lost 4 long term customers. We will no longer support this location by any means and we will make sure anyone using this location for their pharmacy is made aware that they clearly are too understaffed to take care of their customers. Please use CVS for any pharmaceutical needs in the future. I can't say the same for all Walgreens locations but this one should not be used, especially if you need any type of medication filled day of. read more

Single-handedly the most terrible and unprofessional service ever offered from Walgreens pharmacy. Had been going to Sam Pharmacy over 7 years this past year extremely rude managers and going on for months now only two or three people working in the pharmacy. The walk up option in the lobby is closed you must sit in your vehicle and what has been consistently an hour to an hour and a half long wait in your car absolutely disgusting that Walgreens being a big giant store would allow this to continue to happen disgusting service read more

So then I told her I needed them because I was working on something that day. I was trying to get my son's seizure medication filled from the other Walgreens we used to live by. A year they keep filling at the wrong location. I sat on hold with this Walgreens for 50min. I drove home from work in a Dr office downriver, changed, drove to the actual pharmacy location all while on hold. In line at this location in person and they hung up the call after waiting 50 mins. I will not be using Walgreens at all going forward and would recommend not use this location at all. read more

Pharmacist Drew has gone above and beyond several times to insure that a specialty prescription that was out of stock at the store, nearby stores, and with a Walgreens' vendor was taken care of promptly. The prescription was located at another distant store and was able to be filled in a timely manor because of his extra effort. The care, friendliness, exemplary service and professionalism of Drew and the pharmacy staff are why my wife and I drive out of our way past other drug stores to fill prescriptions here. read more

The pharmacist is ALWAYS late. I go into work late in order to drop off my script and end up waiting for her to roll in late. After trying to come in twice and not being able to drop off because she was late, she gave me push back on filling my script because I live too far away (I live 15 minutes from the store). She was rude during the entire transaction. I'll be going to the CVS across the street from now on and I suggest you do the same. read more

I was checking out and there was a lady standing at the pharmacy register counter already. They made me check out with her still standing there and did not allow me any privacy. She wouldn't even move over to the register next to it and she had to be at the same register counter at the exact same time. Never experienced such an invasion of privacy at any register, let alone one at a pharmacy. read more
