I've had a few issues getting things covered with an out of state prescription under my new medical plan but they've been able to get it fixed. It really depends on who's working. Some of the staff seem more willing and able to help than others. When I had some minor outpatient surgery last month my doctor sent over three scripts and they were filled by that same evening. I was impressed with that and hopefully things continue to go smoothly.

I wanted to know how much the prescription would cost. My insurance just switched so I wanted to determine which pharmacy is the least expensive. I also had a prescription savings card that she just could not understand. I tried to explain it to her, she kept telling me I was wrong. I would ask her questions, she refused to answer. I asked her the price difference between a 30 day supply and a 90 day supply, she would tell me that my insurance might not cover that (which I knew wasn't true). I just wanted to know the cost. But she just would not answer. Ridiculous. The medication I take is very expensive. Without fail, every single time, the person helping me grills me about the cost. And I would appreciate that if they were asking in way that was like "I just want to make sure you are aware of the cost...?" But instead it's a whole bunch of attitude about how "don't actually need us to fill this because it's way too expensive". I know it's expensive. I need it. What am I supposed to do? I didn't have any useable coupons except for the garnier micellar cleanse water. It doesn't seem like I bought that much yet it was still over $51 and that's after the $3 off. I am still convinced they inflate their prices and make members believe they are getting a deal, when in fact using a coupon might bring the price of an item to what I would pay at big box store. This price inflation is much of the reason why I don't buy as much from or as often at CVS convenience stores. It's only when I am too tired or unwilling to drive further to a big box store.

It's gorgeous and even if you don't need a prescription I suggest you go and check it out anyway, it's a sight to be seen. They know you by name, which really is so professional and a fantastic touch. For a while, my sons had to pick up my prescriptions, and they even knew their names. Chain pharmacies need to take a step back and try to learn who comes in every month. I won't name the other two pharmacies, but I'm telling you, they're so rude and act like they don't want to even be there working, let alone answering questions.
