Exception is the pharmacy, of course, where many customers prefer to to pick one and stick with it. Aisles are wide and well stocked with merchandise that appeals to a broad range of individuals. I am from out of state and due to a family emergency ended up here with only a 10 day supply of my meds before auto refill would take over at my home Walgreens. The pharmacists and techs here went above and beyond to help me get my prescriptions authorized and transferred here temporarily. I am very grateful for their help and understanding. The store was clean. Pretty well stocked. Only one register was open and the clerk couldn't ring up,someone with alcohol.... So it took forever to get a supervisor to come for an approval. Would come here again, but be prepared that it may not be a quick visit. read more

For Ashely to know very important Not to be loud or disrespect rude or Stress out patients but be respectful and understanding especially if a patient a sick patient is asking you a question. When I picked up my medication today actually this is the second time I couldn't even ask a question one off the staffs was loud with me being rude fighting and disrespectful I had to tell her to calm down my Blood pressure was going up and bad anxiety and I have heart problems heart surgery. I saw her yelling at other patience for asking questions. She doesn't even listen to what the patient has to say That's extremely wrong If they don't like their job or working at the pharmacy, they shouldn't be there to stress out sick patients give them anxiety and get them more sick I'm ready to report her. It's very very disrespectful wrong against the law for pharmacy techs to stress out sick sick patient If they don't have to respect the patients they're not for this job. She yelled at other patients I over heard her Type a patient at the pharmacy for more than 5 years I don't deserve this. Inside is fine here for the most part, but the drive-thru and photo center is pretty slow or just confusing. This is our local Walgreens for prescriptions and frequently, when we arrived here in the drive thru, they're either not open yet (even though their sign says 9am and it's 915am or something), or they just ignore the drive thru and are doing other things behind the counter. If you'd rather have people come in to get their prescriptions because it's easier, than close the drive thru. The photo center too is a little slow. We've ordered pictures to be printed from here and once, we were given a time of when to pick them up, we gave them an extra hour, and the pictures still weren't ready. Another time, they just couldn't find the order in the bin behind the counter. read more

Do not take Federal Express packages to this store they still your merchandise and destroy the label I am making a police report to the Madison Heights Police. I dropped clothes off and now the package is lost in the Oak Park Michigan Federal Express there were $500 dollars worth of clothes in that box. read more

If you call they may or may not have time to talk to you. Sometimes they say call back later we're too busy with vaccinations. maybe this pharmacy will work for you if you'd like to go round and round with them on prescription refills that you would think would be in stock. read more

This is our pharmacy and occasional drugstore if we don't feel like going all the way to Target and need something before Amazon can ship it to me. We've had good pharmacy experiences (offering to get something off the shelf for us when it wasn't covered as a prescription) and meh pharmacy experiences (forgetting to give us a medicine dropper for two liquid medicines for our toddler), so overall it ends up to be A-OK. The staff is generally helpful and you can sometimes find good deals there, but like any drugstore of this type, most things are priced higher than normal. But, it's close to home so we continue to go there. read more

Ugh...Not a fan of this pharmacy. After having to take our 10 month old to the ER we found out she had a double ear infection. We ran to this pharmacy to get the script and got there 10 minutes before the pharmacy closed. The pharmacist/tech was visibly angry when we showed up. I get that it was right at the tail end of the shift, but the pharmacist/tech could have at least hid it better. More annoyingly, they gave us the precise amount of medicine for 10 days' worth of doses. I know that sounds weird, but with babies spit up medicine all the time, and it seems like every other time we have had get antibiotics (which is ALOT), we have gotten a bit more than needed. Likely to compensate for the aforementioned and predicable spit out. In this case, we ended up being short for the final day. We contacted the pharmacy to see if they could help us out and the flatly refused. I understand this sounds like sour grapes, but having dealt with other pharmacies, including other Walgreens, I have always found them to be accommodating under extenuating circumstances. Long story short, we will not be patronizing this Walgreens again, and would not recommend other to do so. read more

My rating is only based on my experience with the pharmacy. There was only one person waiting when I arrived at the counter. It took about 15 minutes for one of the four pharmacy technicians to acknowledge me.. only after helping another customer that arrived after I had. The technician told me it would take about 20 minutes to fill. I came back 20 minutes later and asked for my prescription. She walked around for about 10 minutes before picking up the prescription and handing it to me. She didn't verify my identify, ask me if I had any questions, or provide a pamphlet on the medication as she was ringing me up - which is concerning because I was picking up a controlled substance... My experience with other Walgreens pharmacies overall has been decent but I will not be coming back to this one. read more

I switched over to Walgreens for a better rate on prescription. BIG MISTAKE! It's been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting on my prescription. I called Walgreens to get a price. They gave me a good price but told me that I had to call my Doctor to transfer it over to them because they couldn't do it. So I called Sams Club ( I should of just stayed at Sams Club) anyways.. to cancel my prescription order. I called my internal medicine doctor to tell him to call it in to Walgreens. So I waited a few days for my prescription but no call. So I called myself and I spoke to someone in the pharmacy and she told me that it was on back order and it should be in in a couple days. Couple more days went by and I spoke to the pharmacist who was very rude and didn't care. He told me that the medication is on back order and they are just waiting on it to come in. Again no call! I called again today and this time I spoke to the store manager Chris.. very arrogant and had a I don't care attitude.. He kept giving me excuses to why my prescription was not filled. He told me that he will speak to his staff but in the mean time he will order my medication and it will be in by Monday the latest. Even though he was arrogant and an A$$ I still thanked him. Not 5 minutes later he called me to tell me that he spoke to his pharmacist and his pharmacist had told me they weren't getting the medication.. now I'm on 10! Do you really think I would of kept calling if he told me he wasn't getting the medication?? So he says that he called a different Walgreens and they have the medication but he can't transfer the medication.. so after 2 weeks I still don't have the medication. I would of never called my doctor to cancel my prescription at Sams Club and to call it in at Walgreens to fill it. So I'm back to square one! So now I have to call my doctor again explain the situation and have him call it in to a different pharmacy... Customer Service has gotten so horrible! Don't people realize without your customers or patients you would not have a job? That's like Chris's mother being my patient and I treat her bad.. Word of advise to the pharmacist and Chris.. treat people the way you would want people to treat your loved one... In the mean time I will not return to that Walgreens for no reason! I will drive past it to get to a different pharmacy/store. Very sad and disappointed read more

Karen, the pharmacist, is a national treasure. I went to hell and back trying to fill a yearlong prescription for birth control, and she seemed to be the only person who really wanted to help me. She spent days on the phone with my insurance company trying to figure out the problem and called me right away when she found a solution. Thanks, Karen! read more
