Traveling north through the Keys, I really needed some cold meds (this was one of the coldest days in the Keys in recent times and had picked up a cold with a nasty cough. We spotted this Walgreen's and stopped in. Icronically, the night before, we had listened to a stand-up comic who panned Walgreen's for their lack of staffing. His routine was obviouly not based on this particular Walgreen's. The store was very well-staffed, clean, well-stocked and friendly. I'm a Wlagreen's customer back in Ohio and I wish my Walgreen's was more like this one. I found what I needed and check-out was a breeze. read more

I don't see why all the negative reviews lol seriously what do people expect from a Walgreens. Sure the pharmacy could be a little slow and the photo center as well but it's open 24 hours, they have a liquor store, the staff is nice, they have what you need... Seriously just get over yourself get what you need and leave. read more

Super rude employee, on the morning shift. Was buying ice and water and when I was trying to tell her that I had three cases of water and six bags of ice she cut me off and started fussing at my other crew member that was walking but with the ice, saying we were stealing, I told her he was with me just like the day before when this happened. Then she only ran up two cases of water when three were plainly visible in front of her. When she realized what she did she didn't try and say she was sorry it somehow was my fault, needless to say I told her that is was her problem, I start to walk out then she said she was gonna call the cops and another employee came out and smoothed everything over and I paid for the other case I won't be back to this location. read more

Stopped here on our way to the keys and was not impressed with their customer service. The ladies working there acted as if they had better things to do than to help customers. They had a pretty indifferent attitude and rolled their eyes. Maybe they were upset that we had two very excited, happy boys with us. I mean, who doesn't get excited to go snorkeling?? While on family vacation, we ran out of a med and requested a prescription with this Walgreens from our home pharmacy. They said it would be a 24-hour delay. No problem.. we had 2 days. Day 2, they said we must have called another pharmacy as it wasn't in their system. After showing them my call log with the 7 minute call to them the day before, they admitted it was them, but when they called our pharmacy, it was closed. (We later confirmed with our small pharmacy that they were open that day all day, and had no missed calls or messages). They then said they "got busy" and didn't call. I've read some of the negitive reviews here and like civics & politics they don't know who is responsible for what and blame the pharmacy. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to bring your meds on vacation-you forgetting your meds is not any pharmacy's problem. If you deal with a Walgreens up home then you are a customer of Walgreens and they can/will take care of you in a timely manner. But don't expect them or any other business to do a kabuki dance for you at the expense of their daily customers if you are not their customer (@ home you use a different pharmacy) . Second-the lady who had a bathroom emergency-only the manager (a woman) can unlock the doors. read more

While the customer service here was impressive as we walked in (my friend was greeted and asked by the saleslady if she could help him find something), unfortunately, the filthy bathroom stalls and lack of toilet paper in some of the stalls ruined that first impression. After using the restroom and meeting up with my friend, he approached the saleslady to ask for chapstick, but her back was turned as she chit-chatted with another employee. We stood there at least 30 seconds, waiting politely for them to finish their conversation, until I convinced him to check by the register, as this is usually where they have their chapstick. I was right, he picked up a tube and checked out, but our first impression of politeness was shattered after what took place. read more

Slow customer service. Not enough people work there so a huge line forms all day. Don't know how to work their own pharmacy system and that's what they are supposed to do. I am here on vacation and needed to refill my medication and used the app to scan my current prescription just like I do every month and I showed up hours after the app told me it would be ready and they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. The pharmacy technicians are completely incompetent. I own a home in Marathon and spend the winters here. I always have a problem getting the generic brand of my prescription. The Marathon tech was extremely rude to my home, Walgreens pharmacist, who tried to walk him through the process. It has been a week since I placed the order and they still don't have it. The warehouse has it, these people just don't know how to retrieve it! To make matters worse, they don't even have the more expensive, trademark brand in stock! There is a new Walgreens in town. The tech at the new pharmacy was nice to my home, Walgreens pharmacist and we thought my script was ordered, properly. Nope, I have made several calls today trying to get the correct prescription. While on vacation from Virginia, wife required medication. Contacted our doctor who sent a prescription to this Walgreens. The prescription costs about $5 for a 90 day supply at CVS in Virginia. Cost of this prescription was $43.82. I asked why the increased cost. Was told that Walgreens does not accept Tri Care for Life insurance. I find this remarkable and an example of Walgreen's shameful disrespect for veterans. I make certain all my fellow service members are aware of this. read more
