This RaceTrac is located in Marathon and seems to be one of only a few stations that I know and trust. It seems I wasn't the only one with this opinion on a weekday morning - this place was busy, either they are competitively priced or they have great coffee, I filled my coffee cup before leaving the campground so I only need a credit card and a empty lane at the fuel island. No issues with the pump everything worked alright including the receipt dispenser. Navigating my exit was a little like playing "frogger" it seemed everyone was in a hurry to exit but me. I exercised my patience and waved a few vehicles on being they apparently were late for something as for me I only need to get behind a line of cars heading south with the windows down and the tunes turned up breathing in the salty air. Comparing the price per gallon to gas stations in Key Largo, Islamorada, and Key West, it was even more significantly cheaper as the prices in most of the keys average from $3.89 to $5 per gallon. We made a mental note to return to this Tom Thumb on our return home. It was a refreshing savings on a full tank. So, for the best and cheapest gas in the keys, fill up in Marathon.

The texture tells you everything. They're running proper equipment and not cutting corners. The swirl holds just long enough, then starts to collapse under its own weight, especially once you start loading it with toppings. The shop itself leans hard into Keys vacation energy; bright colors, clean, a little over the top. Not trying to be minimalist or trendy. Just unapologetically cheerful. And then there's the logo. But then after getting home I realized that the quality of fruit was poor. For one the melon we picked up had a sticker on it and not a sticker from a farm but rather one with a sku number which leads me to believe that the fruit and veggies sold at the market isn't organic or locally grown...at least the fruit from the one stand. This is highly disappointing and I've never come across this at any other farmers markets that I've attended. The blackberries were moldy. The mango was moldy within a day. The cherries were not good. And the oranges were dry. Was bummed, had hoped to support this market while down here on vacation, but I won't be back. Employees starting walking out the back and leaving while I called the business line and finally a man answered and said they closed early because of weather. He was not very friendly. He also said he would refund our money the next day. The next morning I received a call from him that he couldn't refund the order but would mail a check. Ten days later we received a check in the mail for $11.50. I shredded the check and disputed the charge through my credit card company for the full amount.
