My parents regularly got prescriptions here and drove 45 minutes one way to use this pharmacy. We had never had an issue until yesterday. They refused to fill my dad's prescription after making him wait for ten minutes. They said they did not want to "deplete their supply". Isn't that what a pharmacy does all the time? They said he hadn't been there in months. That's true, because my mom had a heart attack and stroke and was in a nursing home in Chattanooga dying. My dad has been so grief stricken since her death that he has seldomly went anywhere in months. I had been getting his prescriptions closer to where I worked because I don't have the time to always drive to McMinnville. He decided to start getting it from them again now that he felt like getting out only to be refused for no good or legitimate reason. Then when my sister called to ask why they did this, they were horribly rude to her. I will NEVER use this pharmacy again and will gladly tell others how they treat customers who have been with them for over twenty years. Just unbelievable that they would treat my father this way.

Is this some sort of poison ivy?" The pharmacist told me no, and within a week I was covered head to toe in a poison ivy rash, getting a steroid shot at the Doctors office. I'm prescribed a topical steroid cream that takes 3 days to show up at this pharmacy. I am unable to sleep, and am driven to the edge of my sanity trying not to scratch at the full body rash. I vow never to go here again. Fast forward to New Years Eve. Everywhere is closed, and my mother heads to an urgent care for her persistent cough that is spreading chestward. This Walgreens pharmacy is the only place open, so the Doctor sends the prescription information to them. They make my mother wait, again, for her medicine, for DAYS. This is despite being a 24/7 pharmacy, and completely empty because of the holidays. In short, this is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I wonder sometimes how many people have died as a result of being unable to get their medications on time and with proper and accurate medical advice. Even if they are the only place open, I recommend you to travel to an entirely different town to get help. Do not put your health in these peoples' hands, especially if your condition is critical. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco,and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier.
