She asked him to assist her in picking out a nasal spray. He shrugged his shoulders and said I"I don't know". Finally, after having her wait, he did pick something. Although he acted as if it was an inconvenience to him. He told her he would have her medication ready on Monday. We checked almost a week after Monday and it was not filled. When I called the store to complain, the store manager insisted he would take care of it. I want to check later, and nothing had been done. I would not deal with these people again as the managers were found to be unreliable to the point of being untruthful in their dealings. I have moved my family's medications to a more patient friendly and competent manager. Unlike Walgreens' management, they care about their patients.

So embarrassing to be that old and act so entitled. To the credit of the cashier she didn't blink an eye and kept ringing up the current customer. Stores have to adjust their man hours to meet their foot traffic in order to make a profit. The employees were extremely friendly and the store itself was clean and well stocked. She then transferred the Rx to that store over the phone and it was ready for me by the time I got there. I appreciated the effort and speed in which she took care of my situation and did it professionally, never acting as if I was an inconvenience as she also had other customers in line behind me. I went through the drive-through to pick up a prescription that the Walgreens app and a text message both confirmed as "ready for pickup." There was only one car in front of me, yet I sat for 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. When I was finally greeted, I was told my prescription wasn't ready and that it would take another 30-45 minutes. When I expressed my frustration, the employee rolled her eyes at me. I work in customer service myself, so I understand things happen -- and I even told the employee "I know this isn't your fault." But if Walgreens can't support the drive-through due to staffing, it shouldn't be open. What frustrated me even more was the conflicting information: the app showed my prescription was filled once I left, while I was being told it wasn't even ready. Later I called the store to try to resolve it, waiting on hold for 1 hour and 31 minutes before anyone picked up. Again, I explained I wasn't upset at the employee personally, just at the situation. But instead of empathy or real help, I was met with rudeness and dismissiveness. At one point I was even asked, "Do you want me to fill it or not?" in a tone that made me feel brushed off. All I wanted was help transferring my prescription and to confirm my refill count was correct, since the app showed my prescription was filled today, even though it wasn't. Instead, I was told flat out, "Just call Walmart, they'll do it." Technically Walmart can initiate a transfer, but Walgreens still has to provide the information. Rather than taking ownership or even offering to help, the employee pushed it off on me and made me feel like I was a burden. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect honesty, timely service, and basic respect. Unfortunately, Walgreens failed on all three today. When I called Walmart's pharmacy, a real person answered and resolved my issue in under 5 minutes. After this experience, I'll be moving all of my prescriptions there.

I got my flu shot here this fall, and it was the quickest, pain-free process ever. Mad props to the pharmacist! They do have a policy that I had to stay in the store for 20 minutes afterwards and check in before I left, which was odd, but I think it's because they want to make sure you haven't had a reaction. All in all, a solid pharmacy, and you can get your grocery shopping done during the same trip!

There was also a book near the pharmacy counter that had information about the different pills/medicines available. I think this functions as a regular pharmacy but with a little more hippie thrown into it. ;) The gift items (some shirts, bags, candles, trinkets) were cute and local, but expensive, and kind of odd to see in a 'pharmacy' anyway. However, if I lived in Lexington and needed a pharmacy, this would be my place!! Just get a healthy smoothie while waiting for healthy treatments!
