The eye doctor ( Dr. Snipes and Associates ) who is associated with Lens Crafters was incredible and provided excellent care. -However, the front office staff's behavior was unacceptable--rude, dismissive, and condescending to a level that's hard to overlook. It significantly tarnished the overall experience. It is very unfortunate that my search for an optometrist will continue. read more

The doctor's office here was a terrible experience. My partner came in for an exam for new glasses and I spent my time sitting in the waiting room. The desk staff were a bunch of uppity gossipy bitches who never shut up the entire time I was there. They had no shortage of negative things to say about the various patients that have come through and even mentioned that some patients were dilated for not wanting to pay for imaging. I assumed the medical staff would be more professional until not one, but two doctors came out at different times and joined in on the gossip. The male doctor even started talking about the woman who had walked out just minutes before, sarcastically calling her a "genius". I would not recommend this place to anyone until they correct their ridiculous unprofessional attitudes. read more

This LensCrafters has an attached optometry practice, which is probably one of the better sites to get your eyes checked in town. Of note, they had a scanner that permitted eye examination without the use of dilation, which is helpful, as having your iris paralyzed can make the rest of the day rather challenging. As an eyeglass retailer, I wasn't wildly excited with their selection, but I ended up finding something that I liked and which made sense for me financially. I was able to get thorough explanation of lens options and such. My finished glasses were ready within a week or so. There are plenty of places to buy glasses online, but the benefit of being in a retail shop where you can try on a bunch of frames still makes things easier. read more

I purchased not one, but 2 pairs of glasses from this local Lenscrafters in March 2021. I also purchased the "blue light filter" option ($200) only to have that expensive option start peeling away on both lenses. I went in today thinking they would stand by their product only to be told it would be over $500 to replace the 2 lenses with no help with the cost from them. Be very leary before doing business with these folks and stay away from the Blue Light filter option as it's NOT worth the added expense on top of their already overpriced products. read more

Coming up on a consultation for cataract surgery, I was told that I wouldn't be able to wear my contacts for 3 days prior to my appointment, so out of the drawer came the last pair of glasses that I had bought YEARS ago. They weren't perfect visually, but I could at least get by for those 3 days. Problem was, they no longer had the nose pieces on them, so I would have to try and get them replaced. Lenscrafters was able to take care of me in about 10 minutes. Kyle added the new pads, straightened out the frames, tightened up all the screws, and cleaned the lenses. And at no charge when I asked how much the service would cost (and I don't remember where I bought the glasses, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't at LensCrafters). This the way to do business. The worst service I've ever had at lens crafters. The lady worked harder to not try and help me than she did attempting to help me? When I invested quite a bit in some prescription glasses, the store in Louisville said if I needed any service the Hamburg store would be able to help........not true. I was in dire need of help fixing my glasses. The screw had come out and was so tiny that I just couldn't fix it myself. My eye doctor was closed because of the weekend, and so I stopped by LensCrafters for help. Cuyler was wonderful. She struggled to find a screw to fit as well, but refused to give up. She eventually found one that worked and fixed my glasses. People don't think about the fact that when your glasses break, unless you have a spare pair, you can't see well enough to fix them yourself. Cuyler was wonderful and I would highly recommend her. She was sweet and courteous and so very patient in a situation that probably would've stressed most people out. I offered to pay for the time and screw but she wouldn't hear of it. If you need some glasses or even a repair, I wouldn't hesitate to go here. read more

I enjoy the fact that I can schedule all the children's appointments online, have it added to my Google calendar and get email and text reminders. The doctors are friendly and very good at what they do. Front office staff is nice and efficient. The glasses side could really use more staffing on weekends. The lady's and gents are extremely helpful and friendly, but at times you can wait for awhile and they have limited seating. They really could use a total of ten chairs so people can sit instead of standing. Went back in two hours later and the kids had their glasses. They're thrilled and it didn't break the bank. read more

I have never had such an experience in my life. I purchased glasses in September 2019, I purchased the insurance also. I am now on the FIFTH pair of replacement glasses. The glasses are drill mount Ray Ban glasses 618.00 , not cheap. The first pair broke within tge first 2 months, they were replaced, the replacement pair broke within 30 minutes of picking them up. Took those back . It was reccomended I choose any entire different pair by the associate. I did so , Oakley brand. Believe it or not this 3rd pair broke at the ear piece. I return thinking they could replace it in the store. Nope, whole new pair ordered. Today 4 weeks later I am informed this pair was lost in shipment , along with 6 other pair, and yet another pair will be ordered AND it can not be expedited due to Covid.Marks the FIFTH pair. I am not hard on glasses, it is poor quality/design. The associate told me the Ray Ban glasses were a poor design. I will NEVER purchase from here again. The staff have been nice, but seriously, 5 pairs!! I never purchase extended warranty or insurance, why I did this time I don't know, but golly I'm glad I did. I will wait for 3-4 more weeks for replacement. This has been a fiasco . Never again. I guess they lost money and I lost confidence. Certainly do not trust future purchases will be of quality. My husband and I will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

Was not impressed with the lenses. They upsold me on the computer screen enhancement lenses but did not give me the insurance. I requested the insurance and did not want the enhancements. I am unhappy with the service and unhappy with the product. The staff is only concerned about sales and not what the client wants or needs. read more

I had 2 pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses that needed to be repaired. They told me how to get the new Ray-Ban brand lenses and installed them for me. A different eye glass business wanted to charge me approximately $150 to repair ONE of the sunglasses. LensCrafters helped me find a solution that fixed both pairs of sunglasses with Ray-Ban lenses for ~$50. I will definitely come back when looking for my next pair of sunglasses. read more

7/13/17... LensCrafters in Hamburg were WONDERFUL!! My frames broke into and fell off my face into my hands! The very next day I called LensCrafters and they had an appointment for me Dr. Laura Mitchell at 3:00 that afternoon...the NICEST person you would ever want to meet. Gave me an eye exam and I was ready to go next door within about 30 minutes of my appointment time. Staff there was EXCELLENT! Went next door to LensCrafters and again the NICEST people you would ever want to meet!! They were able to repair my old glasses frame but since I had them for about 20 years I thought it time to get all new!! An hours and half later I returned and had a brand new pair of glasses along with my repaired old ones...2 pair now!! The gentleman who helped me...J.C. or J.R. (Maybe)...was absolutely the MOST KNOWLEDGABLE and MOST COURTEOUS person I've met!! He did a superior job on the glasses!! I WAS TOTALLY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING AT LENSCRAFTERS AND WILL DEFINITELY RETURN NEXT TIME I NEED NEW GLASSES!! read more

I went here because my husband does, and he's never had a complaint. I don't have any faith in their eye care facility. I waited nearly an hour to be seen by the Dr. (I scheduled an appt, I was not a walk in). While she was nice, she had trouble deciding which strength was best for my eyes concerning contacts. Sent me home with two different strengths, the strength I'm wearing right now is definitely too strong. My copay was supposed to be 10 dollars, they charged me 65(I really don't care about that, but if you're on a budget, you might want to rethink it). I went here thinking they were professionals and I left thinking what a bunch of amateurs. I'll most likely end up trying the other set of contacts(hopefully they don't make me feel strained like these do). Hopefully they work or I will have to go to either Walmart, or drive back down to Richmond to see my old Dr. Either way, I'm not happy that I chose LenCrafters, I'd rather drive 30-45 minutes out of the way to get good service, and they're getting two stars because they were polite and the office was clean. read more
