Last week I purchased a pill box at local Walgreens in Okatie, South Carolina. When I got back home I couldn't finger my prescription bifocals. I couldn't remember where I left/lost them. A week later I remembered that I was in Walgreens, so I stopped in and asked if anyone had seen my glasses. WELL, it was my lucky day A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY NAMED DIAMOND was working the front desk. She looked all over, in the offices and storage areas. She was gone for about 10 minutes. When she came back she said sorry 'no-luck.' I left, got into my car and was leaving when DIAMOND came racing out of Walgreens front door waving, she FOUND my glasses. Every one look at the name tags of the store associates: when you see DIAMOND tell her how happy I am with her excellent service. I hope Walgreens has a policy of rewarding employees that go beyond the call of duty. Thanks Diamond you are a star. read more

Anything that's truly shocking about the poor reviews for this Walgreens location is how it even managed to get reviews that good in the first place. The service here is careless to the point of unbelievable. The employees act as if customers are an inconvenience rather than the reason the store exists. This was my first time at this location, and if I can avoid ever coming back, I absolutely will. To be specific, employees blatantly avoided customers. They made eye contact with me while I was waiting at the register, then looked away and refused to come over. It felt like they were playing hot potato to see who would actually have to help. There was no urgency, no professionalism, and no basic customer service. Walgreens needs to take a serious look at this location because the experience was unacceptable. read more

First time using this Pharmacy in Okatie Center and I have never met anyone as rude as the staff in the Pharmacy. They gave me 2 different dates to pick up my prescription so I made 2 trips there for nothing. I understand I was picking my medication up early but I was told to pick them up, I could have waited, no problem. They were rude, spoke to me like I was a child. No one seemed to even want to be at work. After I receive my medication, I will discontinue using Walgreens. No respect for an Active duty Officer. It would have been fine to wait but the Attitude in which the information was given was so disrespectful. read more

I was served by the most ignorant pharmacy staff member I have ever met. When I asked why my prescription for diabetes testing supplies had not been filled in over two weeks and when I might get it he stated that it could take months because they were under audit. When I said I would have to get the Rx's filled elsewhere he basically told me to take my business elsewhere. I immediately went to another pharmacy and had ALL my prescriptions transferred. That employee should be fired ... immediately. Actually if he is an example of Walgreens' commitment to their customers, they should close their doors.​ read more

The pharmacy staff is knowledgeable and polite and always ready to help and answer questions. The retail staff is equally helpful, and the photo department does good work at excellent prices, especially if you wait for the sales. I've never had a problem at this store in the past four years, but sometimes they do seem slightly understaffed. read more

They are incredibly slow and rude. It is apparently the biggest inconvenience to them in the world to do their job.

RUDE!!!! Had to call in a prescription in the evening for an antibiotic through GoodRX to have filled at Walgreen's. The next day I got an email stating that I needed to call because they coudn't fill it as they don't accept my insurance. I called them and stated that I didn't care. I would pay for it. I asked if it was ready and she said "NO" that it would be ready in 1-2 hours. She hung up without saying goodbye. When I arrived at the store, the same lady was at the checkout. She took my card and coupon from GoodRX. I asked a question about an allergy I have to certain antibiotics and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. She then asked the pharmacist, who gave the same look. The pharmacist then said that this isn't that type of antibiotic. I advised her that I just wanted to make sure as I am highly allergic. She just shook her head. I completely the transaction and she nearly throw the bag at me. Moving all our business to CVS!!! read more

The employees in the pharmacy department are very rude. This includes the pharmacy manager. We needed a prescription quickly due to cancer surgery and the pharmacy manager made us wait three hours. Told us there are lots of people who need their medicine and we would just have to wait. Do not go to Walgreens. Go to Beaufort Drug Company. read more

The pharmacy gave me an empty bottle! I came all the way into Bluffton stayed at a motel for a procedure, got the script from my doctor then went to pick up my script drive back to the doctors, and guess what empty prescription bottle... I will never use Walgreens again! read more

Needed to get a shot that was prescribed by my Dr. Came in and the girl at the pharmacy counter gave me a dirty look and said, "Fo realz"? The pharmacist herself was overwhelmed with this simple request and said she didn't even know if my doctor called it in. (I already got that notification from Walgreens. So I left and came back 6 hours later to get the prescription and was going to have my paramedic friend adminiser it. They said they had to do it and it was going to be a minute. I said ok, I can wait a minute. Then she said it would be an hour. I said I'm not waiting an hour. Then she said to come back tomorrow between 2-4. So I left again. This place does not know how to do their job nor take care of people. Now I have to call my Dr and the script transferred to another pharmacy. We just returned from getting our Covid Test to travel. Easiest process ever. We were a bit early and we were still welcomed and everything prepared for us. Instructions were given at the drive up window...we swabbed.. and off we drive. Received our results in less that 2 hours. No stress. We would definitely recommend and will do it again. While I understand being short staff may play a role in this, the wait time for the pharmacy is not acceptable. I had an appointment for 11:30 to get my second COVID vaccine and I arrived 15 minutes early as recommended on the website. I waited in line until 11:43 only to find out that there was not even a pharmacist there to give the shot. I am very unsatisfied with this location and will not be returning. The drive they wait time is usually 10-15 minutes. Corporate needs to hire more people and people need to get off their lazy butts and get a job instead of collecting money from the government. read more

Initially, I walked in thinking "Wow, this might be one of the nicest Walgreens that I've been in." No one acknowledged me, though, or said hello. But I dismissed it. I got my drink (that's literally all I went in for because I'd missed the last gas station, being new to the area and on my way to a job interview.) The lines were rather lengthy at both counters and everyone knows you can't be late to a job interview, so I asked photo if I could check out there, even though I knew I could. When checkout lines are long, cosmetics and photo always check out customers just to be helpful and, presumably, customer oriented. Unfortunately, this Walgreens doesn't put the customer first, as they each clearly have their own agendas which take priority. The girl in photo was working on something that she obviously didn't want to stop doing because when I asked about checking out my drink, she looked up at me, barely, then back to her computer, huffed, even if only a little, and responded "No, not right now." Whoa. Ok... No "I'm sorry, I'm a little tied up." No "I apologize, I'm on a different screen and can't exit until I'm finished" or whatever. Something. Anything. But, instead, just simply "Not right now." It's like saying "That'd be way too much of a hassle lady..." What she was doing was just more important than the needs of a Walgreens customer. I'm huge on customer service. If you don't want to be doing customer service, find a different job. So, I went to stand behind the four other people ahead of me and proceeded to wait. By the time the young guy at the counter got to me, I was obviously a little antsy to get to my interview and clearly in a little bit of a hurry, to which I felt he smirked about. He definitely smirked, several times actually, of that I'm certain. But at my rush, well, I can't be sure. He made no attempt to hurry though, at all, even though I stated that I was in a hurry (the last of his smirks) and still, there was no regard for the customer. In fact, he deliberately went so slow that I told him to keep the change, of which was nearly a dollar. I didn't care. My time, my interview, was more important than any 80 cents ever would be. The experience was just unpleasant. I'd recommend finding a different one. Their employees' agendas are just far more important than yours will be. It's irritating because I usually have such good experiences at Walgreens. Most staff, at other locations, are far more friendly. Such a shame... read more

I frequent this location about once a month and usually purchase a handful of things. The sales are nice, signing up for a card was effortless, and they have always have what I'm looking for. I have had only positive interactions with the cashiers here, they are efficient at their jobs. Cleanliness is next to godliness and this place is always clean, maybe its the area or it could be the efforts of the employees who keep it looking so spiffy. I love this Walgreens, keep up the good job guys! read more

On the way home from being discharged from the hospital a script was dropped off at around 10:15 am. Was told it would be ready at 1:30pm. Returned at 2:00pm and it was not ready. Was asked to give them 10 more minutes. Ridiculous. read more

I'm surprised there are no reviews for this walgreens location. I have only read some Google reviews. This walgreens location is one I frequently go to since my parents live in the retirement community, it's just about the only drug store pharmacy, convenient store close enough. As most people know, hurricane matthew has swiped the area, this walgreens location put no effort into communicating with the public about operating hours. The website was not updated, the automated machine was not updated. I drove here thinking they would be open at 8 like it says on their website and phone line. I am dissapointed they had not updated Web page or telephone to tell the community when they will operate, and especially since there is little to nothing within a 6-10 mile radius in this area. The employees are most if the time standing outside smoking. I have come here to just get a few little things I needed. This is one of the most inconvienant walgreens I have ever been to. read more

The customer service at this pharmacy is atrocious. Going there is slightly preferable to an enema. The attitude of the pharmacy employees is uncaring and the service is slow. Sat outside at drive in window for 15 minutes waiting on one car in front.....employee at window did not seem concerned with their level of service.
