A small convenience store at the corner of 4th and Adams. I've never been sure whether the place…read moreis called "Adams Market" because it's at the intersection with Adams, is called "Adam's Market" after someone named Adam, or is called "Adam Market" as it's sometimes rendered in other online results. The great thing about this place is the owner, who is jolly and sarcastic and funny, although his wit does tend to run a little absurd and not a little dry. Almost as great, though, is the selection of Middle Eastern foods. It's a great place to stock up on boxes of mahmouls for cheap, or to get tins of stuffed grape leaves, which are a vastly better snack than the paltry selection of heavily-processed junk food. Fresh, but limited, but huge, baklavah. The real wonder, though, is a small row of sodas in the back. Not the fancy burdock-and-ass English stuff, but the selection of Lebanese fruit sodas by Kazouza, the best of which is the watermelon. None of them are HFCS-loaded crap, but the watermelon nonetheless captures the fanciful watermelon flavor of something like a Jolly Rancher without being too cloying (at least, for the first few bottles.) It's so wonderful. Like, it completely changed my view of carbonated beverages. It's also a reliable place to get ayran, which is good when the Kazouza gets too sickly-sweet. Also, the brand of ayran they stock is also very useful as a yogurt culture, and at least with the milk from my goats that I tried it with, it resulted in some absurdly-thick and wonderful stuff. Some of the staff other than the owner can be a bit grumpy or difficult, and some of them are quite sweet and outgoing. Still, it's hard to fault the gruff ones. It's the most centrally-located and only late-night convenience store in downtown Olympia. It's a great place to rub shoulders with people who are drunk at noon and people who are far gone in the middle of the night. It really functions as Olympia's only Middle Eastern market. International Spice and Halal used to carry much of the same stuff, and since it closed and its owner moved on to other things, this is the best place to go. And it does a good job of that, while also doing a good job of being a convenience store. A very cool place. Near and dear to my heart.

It was owned and operated by Virginia Beach, Virginia-based Farm Fresh Food & Pharmacy. The Market had three locations, two of which were in Norfolk, Virginia, and the original location in Richmond, Virginia. The first store was an independently owned and operated grocery store which closed due to financial problems. The store's distributor, SuperValu, required that the store be reopened and handed operations over to FF Acquisitions LLC. The Market was known for each location being named after its neighborhood: Richmond's "The Market at Tobacco Row," Norfolk's "The Market at Ghent," and "The Market at Harbour Heights." Each store specialized in something prominent in the neighborhoods that they served, for example "The Market at Ghent" is located in a neighborhood with a large Jewish population; therefore it contains a large kosher foods section. All of The Market locations contained a premier bakery, deli, seafood shop, butcher, and wine specialist along with gourmet chefs on staff to prepare meals to carry home at the store's signature Chef's Corner. The chain's flagship store at Harbour Heights in downtown Norfolk closed the first half of 2011 after being open for only four years. The original location at Tobacco Row was rebranded as a Farm Fresh Supermarket during the third quarter on 2011 and the Ghent location was rebranded as a Farm Fresh Supermarket in November 2011. Farm Fresh Food and Pharmacy and The Market are wholly owned subsidiaries of Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based SuperValu, Inc.

They are always timely with getting my order to me upon arriving at the store. They have some brands exclusively at Sephora that some of the other beauty stores don't offer which I appreciate. I love that they offer a rewards program as well. The employees here are always very nice and prompt with assisting you. I've had the hydrafacial lip perk service done here before too which was quick and an overall good experience. The girl who performed the treatment was great about explaining everything to me which I appreciate as it was my first time having the service done. I will continue to frequent this business and highly recommend it.

I look like a lost puppy that needed help but you know young people in there under 30 not one of them helped me until 30 minutes after I was there so the first person out of the three after 30 minutes of waiting couldn't find nobody to begin with. she's like oh are you OK? Not really know I don't know. I don't know how to find all this stuff. I said I'm a simple girl. I don't wear heavy makeup. I said I'm not trying to judge you say you do or other people do it just my preference OK she left. What the hell you seriously kidding me you don't ask well how can I help you? What's your preference what? What the hell so OK 15 minutes later love the person walks up. Do you think I can help you with sure since the other one walked away no problem cause I'm trying to look for blush. Oh there's a whole bunch over here Poinsettia and she's like is that what you're looking for? I'm like I don't want to lie. I don't want too dark and I don't want pink to look like Barbie cause my skin's not you know whatever so OK cause I would just go with the liquid cause I said oh they have liquid blush. I didn't know that she's like oh yeah I guess yeah OK so again I don't wear a whole lot of makeup. I don't care so all right she walked away wow how did she go? OK we're fine. I'll be walking around at the oh I'll do a skin mask. I've never done one. I wonder how you do this and I kept looking and kept looking and kept looking and though did I still tell you that I'm still looking oh and I kept looking for like 10 minutes when she comes back she's like oh I'm anything else I can help you with I said yeah yeah then she gets on her speaker and starts talking to other people on the speaker doesn't look at me. It says just a minute I'm dealing with that situation upfront or something didn't say it didn't help me with the mask whatsoever by this time I'm a little irritated because again I've never used one. I was interested in using one don't know what to do. I don't know how to use it. I know probably gonna be made fun of this for that but it is what it is and then she goes. Oh yeah, I will need to try that honey or the lavender and walks away so I thought oh my freaking God are you seriously kidding me you're the third person that has walked away. Am I not getting your stylist? Am I not getting your commission? What am I not getting here so I thought OK fine I'll drug it off. I won't write a review. That's fine. OK so today I go in there unfortunately the same place because there's not another one for another 25 miles which I'm not willing to travel that far to return the product all of the liquid blush that didn't work out cause it was too not me. That's all. I'm gonna say that way so go in there today. I get help right away while 15 minutes which is fine whatever y'all still opening whatever OK oh no, I'm fine. I'm looking around just seeing what I want OK and then that was all nothing else. No other help oh my God that's why a lot of people don't want to shop at Ulta beauty the only one that I really really liked that I will go out of my way again to go to is the Puyallup Southfield mall one that those girls there are like the ultimate people to work with I had one girl stick with me the whole time I was there 25 minutes 25 minutes she's stuck with me looked at everything I was interested and talked about it did everything so this one in Lacey you guys really suck you really suck you should train your people how to be customer service oriented, even though we're not buying baby bliss and our Dyson hairdryers like ridiculous. I'm never going back there again even if I return the product and the girl up at the front counter to check out I didn't know who she was talking to and I told us well. Maybe you should be a little bit more explicit to who you're talking to and she was like can't I guess I'm like yeah I'm sure I would think I would cause I was mad by this time. I'm not going back there ever again ever ever. I don't care how close you are not close enough for me to go back.
