Tip of the day: never take makeup advice from a woman who doesn't blend her eye shadow! Yesssssss,…read morewe all see you. Ok. Now that that's over with... I'm in a love / hate relationship with this particular location. I love that it's here so I don't have to drive up to Tacoma every time I need to restock but I also hate the mentality of the people working! All jokes aside, when I come in with makeup on, eye liner on point and eye brows on fleek-fleek-fleek, they do such an excellent job at customer service. On days that I don't have any makeup on, I'm more looked at as a customer who may be stealing or someone they'd rather not waste too much time on because I might not buy anything... At least, that's the vibe I get. EVERY TIME TOO. I get dolled up when I need to, but at 10am, I'm going in with a fresh face, sweat pants and some flip flops. I still have 12 hours in the day before I technically need to do anything! Lol. And what's even more funny is that when I check out, and they ask for your beauty rewards, my points are SO HIGH that they always looked shocked and their voice immediately changes to a friendly pitch like squeak - "thank you so much. Enjoy your day!" Yeah, yeah... Shut up, I'm already annoyed. On random occasions, you can find some YOUNGER associates there that still have a please all appeal and that's the only reason why they're getting a 3 star instead of anything lower. Step up your customer service skills... I want to post a sign that says, "Do not judge a book by its covers!" Smh.

I just come here to look at shades of stuff if they have it and buy it online. The customer service here is good if you get younger workers (35 and under). They are sweet, willing to help, and seem to care if you're looking for something. The old ladies here think they own the Sephora. They walk around all entitled and look so irritated for no good reason. Everyone has bad days which I get but a bad day everyday? You play with make up...calm down! They way the older workers ask if I needed help is condensing. So get a younger worker for help!!!

It had reflection of a Seattle store, Archie Mcphie. I don't know If the two are related, but I don't know if Archie even exists anymore. I used to do their parking lot sale, but when they ended it 15 years ago, I stopped shopping there as that was the only way to pay a reasonable price for items imported in bulk from China. A lot of displays and boxes here were empty, I don't know if they had a holiday run or are just bad at restocking, but I reached for a few things that just were there. They had some cool Olympia based items and a fair amount of pop culture and although not cheap, the pricing was fair and based on the thrift shops we visited, the kind of stuff that holds our attention was cheaper here than it was second hand in other places. At the end of the day, there was nothing here we had to have so we left empty handed. Every city needs a store like this. If merch was stocked , we certainly would have bought something.

The environment and all the staff are very warm and welcoming, the services are top-notch, and prices are reasonable. But the best part is the owner herself - if you have an opportunity to get an appointment with her, do it! In one session I learned a ton of useful info about skin biology and chemistry - knowledge that would've been a game changer had I been lucky enough to come here decades ago. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and the values behind her work are inspiring. Do yourself a favor and go here!

After just one visit and recommendations for a couple of wonderful products, my issues cleared up significantly. I've been lucky enough to go back a few times and always feel so cared for and truly notice a very positive difference in my skin. The level of education I received about how my skin works seems exceptional to me. After the first visit I felt like I could pass a test :) After the second visit, I realized how much I held stress and emotion in my face and could feel a kind of release similar to after a massage. After the third visit, I asked, "what did you do to make the circles under my eyes so much better?" and instead of selling me a product, I learned a new technique. As other reviewers have mentioned, the store itself is beautiful - stop in if only to check out the local artists, or pick out a gift or product that you know is thoughtfully chosen - and the owner Monique is a really stellar person who does a lot for the community in addition to running a very special business.

He was telling me about different soaps when I was paying and ended up putting them into my bag and charging me an extra $19 for 2 bars of soap!!!! But the problem is I did not want to buy soap and I did not agree to buy soap!!! When I get home I noticed that he charged me for two soap bars as my e mailed bill was $30 and they were in my bag. It was my fault for not checking the total price when I was paying. But these deceptive sales tactics of charging customers for things they do not want and doing it in a sneaky way is NOT ok!!!!! I will never go back to this businesses as I feel I was scammed!!!!! I will not be recommending this business to my friends or family and I hope this is just one bad apple in the company.
