had surgery meds were called in to store. we were told open till 10 pm got released from hospital arrived to Walgreens at 7,was told pharmacy was closed could not get pain meds till Tuesday since Monday was holiday but they processed my meds thru insurance so could not get thru another store! when called, staff was very rude so do not go to this store! best if they just closed it! Received a call from this Walgreens yesterday afternoon saying my prescription was ready. So I go to pick it up through the drive through and was told it is being filled through their central fill pharmacy and won't be filled till Monday! Way to go Walgreens! The only reason I go to this pharmacy because it is close to my home. But there is a CVS pharmacy close also! Might be time to give them a try! read more

I don't use this walgreens as my pharmacy, but i come in all the time for groceries, snacks, ect. The staff are always so polite. They always greet me when i come in the door and ask if i need help finding anything. A young lady upfront even gave me one of her personal coupons to help me pay for some groceries when i was short on change. read more

We've been getting our prescriptions filled at this 156th & Q location for 31 years. Recently my husband experienced two separate frustrating experiences with the pharmacy causing multiple trips to the store when attempting to pick up a prescription. Yesterday, after receiving a message from his Dr's office stating insurance had approved his new medication, he called Walgreens Pharmacy and was told by Miranda, (who is denying that she spoke to him) that she was running the prescription and the co-pay would be $24.50 and he could pick it up in 30 minutes. I drove there an hour later and learned from Shannon, who was very kind and professional that his medication is actually out of stock. Today I called Byron, the pharmacy manager to find out the reason for this, he basically told me that there is a shortage of this medication and the pharmacy techs cannot see in the computer whether a medication is in stock or not. I told him that it was promised to be ready and what if it was an 85 year old person with a walker that had made the trip to Walgreen's only to be told the medication wasn't available, but Byron did not seem to care in the least way at all. My husband isn't interested in setting foot in this store again and I will be transferring all of my prescriptions to Walgreen's at 170th & Center which has a different pharmacy manager. The person I spoke to on the phone there said they always check the shelf to make sure a medication is in stock before telling a customer that it is available and 170th & Center Walgreens pharmacy has many more stars and positive reviews. read more

I have no idea why this business was listed as "closed". Perhaps I'm hallucinating because I have no place to get my meds now. But assuming I'm NOT hallucinating, I'll just say that this location isn't too bad. Walgreens has become synonymous with "prescriptions". Still, that isn't why I go here. You see, I haven't adapted into the 21st Century and I still use cameras that require film processing. Because my printer refuses to print anything better than a poop smear, I turn to this locale. Apparently I had some photos dating back to 2004 that needed to be developed. So I took them here. Aside from the fair price, I was no amused at the quality of the finished product. I know, I wasn't using a high-quality camera to begin with, so I expected and accepted the fact that there would be indecipherable pictures in the envelope. What I didn't expect was that some photos overlapped. By this, I mean that Photo 1 only had half of the picture on it and half of Photo 2 filled what Photo 1 couldn't. In other words, they screwed up some pictures. They didn't screw enough up to get a 1-star or even 2, but they made me disappointed in the fact that I paid $7 for sub-par quality. read more

I like Walgreens due to the late hours. However, this experience wasn't that good. I stopped in for some water and Lysol. I didn't know a travel pack of lysol was 3.99 but hey I needed it. The staff were very friendly, I was a little disappointed the walgreens would have a kid on the register who couldn't count. So cash registers do the math for you right? I gave the cashier 20.25 and she gave me back 12.85. I counted to myself and was like the math is off. She stated I am not a math person and gave me the wrong change. It was terrible I didn't want to embarrass the cashier. I waited until the line cleared and went back to plead my case.My colleague said the cashier gave him back too much change. We have to do better the manager was present but didnt say anything. I dont think the person counting down the register at night gonna be happy....... read more

Pharmacy staff is not friendly and not willing to help. I've had issues with getting my prescription filled multiple times. This last time the pharmacist told me that I had no prescription there by my name for a sinus infection and that I should either go to the emergency room or call my doctor. I'm done going to this location. They have lost my business. read more

The management here is horrendous. "Jennifer" (a manager ??) is one of the rudest individuals I have ever met. She got an attitude, called me "honey" and said she did not have time to solve my problem. I'm switching my prescriptions elsewhere. Wow !! I tried to give this place a second chance since it's so close. On one trip through the drive through pharmacy the "tech" handing out the scripts could not pronounce the names of them. I mentioned the Good Rx discount on pricing....."Clayton" in the pharmacy suggested that if I didn't like the prescription prices I should go elsewhere. Andrew the "manager" simply made excuses. Pharmacy is slow and not very helpful. I drive past to go to the CVS on 143rd and Millard ave. much happier now.

If you need to have a prescription filled, do not use this pharmacy. I had one filled for Ondansetron 4 mg tablets. ( It is used to stop vomiting.) The cost here for 10 tablets was $65.29. The cost at the Super-Saver down the street $12.99 for the exact same drug and the exact same quantity. These are both prices if you do not have health insurance. Way to rip off the consumer Walgreens. read more
