Later, when I went to the register to pay for my purchase, she was r on her phone, but she still did not greet us, ask if we had rewards, or say thank you after completing the transaction. I understand that there may have been a situation that required her to use her phone, and I respect that emergencies can happen. However, it is important that customers feel acknowledged and attended to when they enter and make a purchase. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

I recently moved to the area and even though I am less than 1/2 mile from this Harris Teeter, I will be returning back to my former pharmacy company that is over 10 miles away because I know I will be known, will be consistently treated in a basic friendly manner and because the prices were definitely better. I really didn't expect such a bad experience.

They are friendly and willing to get to the bottom of a coupon card to save us money or help negotiating the dreaded "prior authorization". They are my favorites by far. I recently started using this pharmacy and my last visit proved I made the right choice. I was very sick and went straight from the doctor office to the pharmacy. The sweet lady who helped me, Amy, went over and beyond to help me. It is rare to get super good customer service these days, especially in a big store like Costco, but the prescriptions (3) were filled quickly and I was able to sit comfortably while I waited. Pro Tips: 1) Just in case you don't know, you don't need to be a Costco member to use the pharmacy…read more However, there is so much value in a Costco Membership, even if you just use it for gas I'd highly recommend it. 2) You may be able to get a Costco member discount on prescriptions not covered by insurance. 3) You can use Costco with Instacart but the prices are a little higher (for food) than if you have a membership. You can get prescriptions delivered via Instacart even if you don't have an Instacart subscription. Pharmacy Staff I can't say enough good things about the pharmacy staff at this location. I changed from private insurance to Medicare this year and they've gone out of their way many times to help me. Whether it's trying to get me a discount on a prescription that's not covered or helping me navigate the same day delivery function...they've been exceptionally helpful. I wish I could remember all the names of people that have helped me but some are Amy, Angie, Maliha and Sarah. Hospice Care My Mom, who's 95, went into hospice care this year which is incredibly stressful. It's one thing to be getting prescriptions to keep yourself well, it's another to be getting medications for someone at the end of their life. My Mom had a prescription we were getting filled at CVS. The bottle said "take two a day." So she was taking two at the same time. When we got the prescription from Costco it said "take two times a day." That might not seem like a big deal but the nuance of taking the medication at two different times has helped relieve a very annoying side effect she had. Personalized Service I've used many different local pharmacies and what they all have in common (sadly) is that it's an anonymous experience. It doesn't matter if you've been to the counter two or three times in the same day, you're essentially like a stranger they're seeing for the first time every time you visit. I'd like to give a shout out to Maliha because I had spoken to her on the phone one day trying to resolve a technical/delivery problem and the next day, she saw my name, remembered me and asked me if I was able to solve the problem after we spoke. I was completely floored to get that level of customer service which has almost disappeared in our society. Likewise, I want to acknowledge Amy for being kind and attentive when I was picking up a prescription for my Mom that wasn't quite ready. She came over to me a couple of times to assure me it was almost ready. When you use the word "hospice" in a conversation, you're saying that someone's life is close to the end. It's sad how so many people don't understand that. Amy obviously understood the stress of waiting for a medication for someone in hospice care and I genuinely appreciate her care and consideration. Highly recommend...it's really worth the effort to use Costco pharmacy. Park on the edge of the parking lot near the gas station for a more hassle free experience.

Communication was good and clear - however, once I got to the cashier - she turned the experience upside down. Instead of asking one of the others about clear understanding of what was happening - she started to charge me for the plug when they provided it was an even exchange. The attitude wasn't needed - the I'll just give it to you. Ma'am - what are you talking about? Why are you frustrated as if I did something to you? Why the attitude at all? At this point, I am okay with not going to this location again. I am aware of the new policy and will govern my purchases going forward with that understanding.

They can even help you continue shopping with them throughout the rest of the store so you're not wasting time looking for an associate or ringing up at the register.
