The store was very clean and when I arrived, the staff on the floor was very busy placing stuff on the shelves and getting things organized. They claimed they only learned about it that day, with no prior warning whatsoever. This left me without critical daily medications, forcing me to scramble for a new pharmacy and have my doctor resend everything during the hectic new year period. The total lack of advance notice, communication, or any contingency plan showed a complete disregard for patient health and caused tremendous stress and danger. While regulations are important, better preparation and care for long-time patients could have prevented this. This experience has destroyed my trust--I'll be switching permanently and suggest others relying on daily essential prescriptions seek more reliable options.

I was then advised by the woman I was speaking with I needed to go back onto phone to RECOMPLETE all of the required agreements. Mind you, I have limited data on my phone plan and try to use it sparingly when not at home. I asked if maybe there was just a form I could complete instead. I was told "No, it's all digital now". So I asked what would happen if I didn't even have a phone. Basically I was blown off. I tried to compete the online forms again, being made to (by the app, not the woman) to download these forms again, twice, because I was having some issues getting through this. Again, I asked if it was possible to just give me the forms to sign. She told me she could help me with my phone but at that point I honestly didn't want to be eating up any more data just trying to get through forms that I KNEW they had to have behind the counter (seriously, what if I didn't own a phone like some don't including family members) and asked, again, if there was just something I could fill out by hand instead. Told no, again. At that point I told her I didn't need a flu shot that badly and walked out. I got in my car, went to CVS, was given a short form and got my flu shot. Mind you, I've had multiple issues with this particular location a few years back and just stopped using Walgreens entirely. Though not a Super Target, it does have a significant grocery store component. And it was well stocked, carrying the various OTC medicines that I needed, with the equivalent house brand (i.e. Up&Up) offering significant savings. There were plenty of registers, including self-checkout. One of the product purchased was controlled, so an attentive associate came right away to ring me through (just needed my birthdate). One interesting side note: we noticed a crowd of young adults doing cosplay near the side entrance. I recognized a lot of them wearing 'Team Rocket' uniforms from the Pokemon universe, including a young man dressed up as Giovanni. We asked one of the store workers about it, and she stated that they were here for the Pokemon card drop that was going to happen quite soon.

I then waited another 40 minutes in the store to see if the second one came through. After that second send, I heard the staff in the back admitting to each other that their system was "taking forever for prescriptions to come through." Despite knowing the delay was their fault, they gaslighted me. They acted like I "didn't know what I was doing" and treated me like a massive burden. The second they realized they couldn't just put a prescription in my hand, their attitude completely flipped. It felt like I was being discriminated against based on my prescription type. While they were "buddy-buddy" with other customers, they treated me like a peasant because I required more than two minutes of their time. The disrespect peaked when I said I'd just go elsewhere and Chris literally laughed in my face. I am leaving for a business trip and need my medication. There is nothing "funny" about a pharmacy playing favorites and judging patients. I already took my business elsewhere in October for the same reason. I thought it was a fluke, but it is clearly a toxic culture. I have officially cancelled my prescription here and will never return. I would rather go a week without meds than be mocked by these people. Go literally anywhere else.
