I'm so disappointed in the pharmacy. I arrived at 5:00pm to pickup my prescription, saw two people inside, and they ignored me and just left. I then went inside to confront them and one lady said I need to go to a different location. I was very sick and didn't need this. The pharmacy is terrible. if there was a pharmacy closer to me, I would switch. when I checked my prescription online, it says it's in process for three days in a row so I call my doctors office to ask them to give Walgreens the OK to make my prescription and they tell me that they were never contacted in the first place by the pharmacy. So my prescription is one week overdue. read more

My son was in need of multiple medications that insurance would not cover. The total for the meds was several thousand dollars. Mark and Jen, in the pharmacy, spent 45 minutes with me to search for reduced rates and coupons so that I could afford to pay for the medications out of pocket. They were both so kind and compassionate at a time that I was certainly not my best. I am beyond grateful for them. read more

This is absolutely the best Walgreens of about 5 in the area. I drive a little bit out of the way of my house just to go to this Walgreens. Why is it so much better? The employees- They are all very nice here and never give me a hard time for using a coupon. The store itself - Much more clean then other Walgreens as well as much better stocked. If you need to go to Walgreens, I highly recommend skipping the others within a couple miles of this one and just come here. read more

I live nearby and have been using this pharmacy for years. In fact, I exclusively used this pharmacy for about 6 years straight and they can look at my records to see so. I also often stop to grab a birthday card or whenever we need something (ANYTHING) at home and we don't feel like trekking down to jewel or target. My review really is directed toward the pharmacy and not the store itself. I haven't really had any issues with the store itself other than the occasional associate that's clearly having a rough day but we all have bad days so I give them the benefit of the doubt there and try to cheer them up! I work retail so I totally get it. But now I'm starting to put 2 & 2 together. I'm guessing anytime I have ever had a somewhat negative interaction with anyone at the store it was probably because they had to deal with the MISERABLE, MISERABLE, RUDE people working in the pharmacy. I mean, can I just point out that we're coming to the pharmacy because we're typically ill and I would guess most people don't feel well when they're coming to visit your pharmacy. Do you really want to add to this? At the very least, can you put on your customer service hat and fake it through a transaction? We all have bad days but I officially cannot remember the last time I have had someone pleasant at the pharmacy here. Seriously, I always get someone with a bad attitude that hates their life, it seems. I work in customer service and at no point am I allowed to bring my personal life into work with me nor would I be allowed to speak to a guest the way I am spoken to here. The tone they use and treat guests would get me fired at my job. Today, I wasn't even pulled up to the window all the way and the gentlemen at the window, tall, dark hair and has a chip on his shoulder, yep that's the guy, you know him. All I heard him say was "...today?" I said, "I have two prescriptions I need filled please and I would like to wait." He shoved the drawer out at me and said nothing. Once he took the prescriptions out of the drawer he said "what's the birthdate for Catherine?" I replied with my birthdate and he said "Can you speak louder?" I repeated myself and he heard me the second time, I think. Or maybe he just gave up. I have no idea because he didn't acknowledge me. He just tucked the phone between his head and shoulder and looked at the two scripts, and said it'll be about an hour. I was put off by his attitude and just said ok thank you and drove off. I'm asking to 'wait' here because I obviously need them. That means I need them "yesterday". An hour to fill two prescriptions? I wasn't 10 feet away and regretted not taking my scripts back to bring to another pharmacy like CVS. I love the CVS staff at our Target near Schaumburg & Barrington roads. They are kind and caring and PLEASANT!!!! Even if they don't really feel like being pleasant, they do it anyways because that's what you do. You want people to leave your store in a better mood than when they arrived. Perhaps that's just me and why I have been in customer service and sales my entire life but seriously, I wanted to remind this guy that I could have gone to any pharmacy but I chose to use the one near my home to help support my local economy. Who knows, he could be my neighbor or a friend of a friend but he's just miserable pharmacy dude to me now. If this is how you treat strangers, I can only imagine how you treat your friends & family. Shame on you Walgreens for allowing this nonsense and keeping people on staff like this. This man and the other staff members I have dealt with prior to today, have always been so miserable. Obviously, they had a position to fill and they grabbed the first joker that applied because if you spent any amount of time with these people you would see they are not cut out for this position. Or perhaps the manager there just doesn't care? Hmmm, I wonder which one it is? This will be the last time I get a prescription at this pharmacy. They can go fly a kite. I'm going CVS from now on. Fri after Thanksgiving: This is my closest Walgreens so I usually go here. Its been a while seen I had photos done there, probably last Christmas. I ordered 1 print to see how it looked before I ordered 100 for my Christmas cards. The coloring was off. Everyone looked a little blue. So went home ;edited my photo and ordered another one. This one looked the same. I was going to ask for help,but the young woman in photo could not have cared less. Her face and her whole attitude with the woman in front of me and myself,projected "I don't care". So I will try again, but not at that store! read more

This store is bad news! Slow service, especially at the pharmacy! Clerks are usually disinterested and unfriendly at the least, and downright rude at the worst! My suggestion is stay away and take your business elsewhere! read more

We've given this Walgreens multiple tries and each time they have disappointed, at the pharmacy, photo and just overall employee rudeness! It's the closest one in our area, but looks like we will venture elsewhere, since they aren't even 24/7. I hope they improve, what a shame! read more

Holy cow! How could I have *never* Yelped this Walgreens? It's been a staple since my childhood. Whenever I'm at my mom's house, this is always the Walgreens I visit. It's just familiar. It used to be a bit down the street and I even remember when they closed the old building and built this newer location! My friend also lived around the corner from here so I would often stop for last minute items before her BBQs (sunscreen, bug spray, etc.) Nice location, nice staff -I have never had anything but a good experience / quick and efficient shopping trip at this location! read more

There seems to be an inconsistency in the people that work here. Some of them seem very experienced and knew how to ring up stuff quickly while others had no idea and would refer you to the manager. The staff are nice enough overall. The place is a bit crowded and hard to locate things due to the density of the products but it's a place to get what you need quick. The prices are higher than other stores like grocery or target type stores, so unless you find a good sale, I would say there's no real reason to come here. read more

There are usually long lines, while other cashiers watch and don't help. When being rung out, cashiers sometimes stop in the middle of the transaction to talk/assist other customers. read more

While I only come here for the L'Oreal hair putty and prescriptions, the service is always a pleasant experience at the Pharmacy counter. I think it's because I come here often and they know me by facial recognition. The ONLY reason I give it 2 stars: I want it to be like the one at 151 N State St in Chicago. Was shopping in there last week at about 8:00 PM when an employee who was cleaning the floors with a machine speaking quite loudly on his Bluetooth in a foreign language came down the aisle I was in. The aisles are not too wide to begin with so he couldn't get by me with the machine. I guess that frustrated him because then he said in broken English "I need you to move". I did move. Back into my car and moved my car a mile down the road to a CVS. My last trip to Walgreens, there's a CVS on every corner as well. read more

This review is for the pharmacy specifically. Sadly, they just don't get it. I am always frustrated which would explain why when I lived two minutes from here, I would still drive to Barrington & Irving Park Roads for my prescriptions. Now, I only go here under the most necessary of circumstances. It was necessary. Last weekend. So I dropped off my prescription at the drive thru (the reason for two stars). The girl said it would be ready in one hour. So we went to my sister's house. Then, about two hours later, we walked back to Walgreens to pick up the prescription. We waited in line. The girls behind the counter don't seem to notice the line growing and growing as they chit chat. It is finally my turn. They can't find my prescription. I spell my name again. They still can't find it. Without explanation, the lovely employee proceeds to take the next person in line. And the next. What the heck?!?! So, I ask what's going on. I'm told that they need to verify (?) it. Huh? This thing (a tube of cream) was supposed to be ready over an hour ago. Forget it. I'll come back. They don't say anything. When I come back an hour and a half later, they are closed. I have to come back to Schaumburg the next day for a stupid tube of cream. I drive back and pick up the cream. The service is lacking. And they don't seem to care. It's sad. read more

Their uniforms hurt my eyes, awful choice of blue. Who do they think they are? Some sort of blue activists? The music gives me a headache. Modern music is awful. Everyone is an idiot nowadays, especially the teenager at the register. This pertains to the pharmacy only. I cannot believe how many times I've had to argue with them about the price of my prescription. Whoever puts it through does not do the insurance correctly. Plus, they are slow. They tell me it will be ready in an hour, which is always a lie, because it will take them at least 5 hours to get it filled. Or I'll ask for a refill online and specify a time for it to be ready, giving them plenty of time (days) only to get a phone call the next day that it's ready and then they're pestering me with e-mails and phone calls to pick it up. There are only 1 or 2 competent people working there and they end up having to straighten out the mistakes the others do. It's a huge waste of time dealing with them. read more

I can't even begin to explain how horrible and rude the pharmacy employees are at this location. We continue to go back because it's close to home but every time we go we come away more frustrated. We have never had one good experience here from one single employee. They talk down to you, act like you are a nuisance and will let you wait even when no one is in line. Is this how they train all pharmacy staff here? Be as rude as possible and provide the worst customer service ever? It's very insulting and a frustrating experience each time. Today they screwed up an order and didn't apologize but instead said "Well, you can wait if you want but we have no idea how long it will be. You are not our only customer". Are you kidding? Who says this? And they messed up!! Please, please....someone in a position of authority at this store please address this. We DREAD having to get prescriptions filled here each month but it is literally right by our house. I pray something is done soon with this staff. And I mean the whole staff...pharmacists, techs, cashier, etc. Not one good experience with any of them. So sad that customer service is declining so bad. I suggest using another pharmacy if you can. I have been going to this Walgreens for over 3 years. It is really close to home...but it is the slowest service I have ever received at any Walgreens. Specifically their drive up window and pharmacy department in general. My average time spent in the drive up line is 15 minutes. Even inside the line is long and slow. Need more staffing to match how busy it is here. Drive through is supposed to be quick and convenient but not at this location. Poor and unacceptable service! read more

What a great store! I just found this location a month ago and its very convenient, with very helpful kind workers that always wish me good health. I came in for some necessities, enema kits, lubricants, herpicilian and real latex gloves(emphasis on the real part, I have been to Target and Walmart where they don't sell real latex because of allergens....yikes!). I will say it is easy to shop there, signs and labels on everything and decent prices and usually not out of product that I need. I've been to places where it costs more for astroglide for a smaller bottle. Also they are really good about taking coupons even if they are expired. I just only wish they were open 24 hours because sometimes I get out of the Jack Hammers way late and am forced to go to Walmart *yuck* Its a great feeling knowing my purchases are taken seriously and discretely. Well its more of a great feeling after I use my products and I can relax. I give this location 2 Thumbs Up! read more

The store staff and pharmacy staff everyone seems to be working as if they are doing a favor on us by giving us those medicines . The drive through here is a joke . This Walgreens has the worst pharmacy I've ever used. Not a day goes by that I don't miss my old Dominicks pharmacy. They are understaffed and slow and rude half the time. I almost always have to wait and have been ignored there as well. Just went to pick up meds I phoned in and was told I had to wait another 20 minutes and it was after the time they were supposed to be ready. No shock there. Shouldn't have wasted my time. Also had to pay for a prescription they screwed up in the first place by not giving me enough pills. I was told it was told it was resubmitted and there would be no charge. Surprise! They charged me! I will have to try a different Walgreens that hopefully sucks less. read more
