For some reason, that was a problem for me to solve, not them. Back at Thrifty Way I mentioned the matter, and Mr. Darce stopped everything he was doing and dove in, trying to figure out where the snag was. He said he would call me when it was all worked out. And by the next day he had called my doctor, obtained a new prescription, and persuaded them to fill out the necessary paperwork to satisfy the insurance company. He even apologized--repeatedly--for the confusion, even though he'd been the only one eager to take point and fix the problem. As for that other "big name" pharmacy: after being made to feel like I was at best a nuisance, what a pleasure it was to inform them their services were no longer requested. They had curtly pointed out that it would be better if I got all my prescriptions filled by the same pharmacy. On that point, at least, we are in complete agreement. One of the better places to come and get gas in town, and one of my preferred stops, for all kinds of reasons. Lafayette gas is usually cheap - and this one is even cheaper than most. I'm sure we'll be back here in the future too. Moreover, it's a brand new gas station and probably the best place to find gas in Laftown, as everyone calls it. And by everyone I mean me.

OMG, they were so peppered no one could eat them!! I don't know if there is an incompetent or disgruntled employee in the meat market--either way, the hamburgers sucked. I called the store and spoke to someone in the meat market. They offered to replace them, but that would mean driving over there, picking them up, returning home, and cooking the next batch. They said it must have been a bad batch. I don't buy that. The meatloaf this past week was just as peppered. Management ought to be concerned if an employee is working to lose a lot of loyal customers if they don't get a quality control program in place. This customer is going to Champagne's for the next burgers.
