DO NOT GET YOUR FLU SHOT HERE! I got a flu shot on Saturday it's now Thursday and I'm still having pain. First it started in my left shoulder area now it's radiating down my left arm. After speaking with someone who works in healthcare it sounds like the person (whom never said her name or more than 5 words) gave me the vaccine up too high and this is what's causing the ongoing pain. This has never happened before and they need to be more careful when administering these vaccines. read more

The brand new Walgreens is located just south of the old Walgreens location, at the base of the Lighthorse luxury apartment complex and next to Sendiks. The covered parking is awesome but it is always so busy with cars and pedestrians that I find it easier to park in the structure behind Sendiks if I have my car (this location is 1 block away from where I live, so I almost always walk unless I'm coming home from work/running errands). I normally do not shop at Walgreens unless it's an emergency, I'm too lazy to go over to Walmart, and/or I think whatever I need may be cheaper here than at Pick 'N Save... However, the newness of this store has got me hooked despite the very industrial feel. I find myself in here more often than I ever was in the old store, sometimes to just walk around post-workout at the nearby Anytime Fitness. Every time I have been in this store it is clean and orderly, associates are friendly, and I have even managed to stumbled across some decent sales and clearance items. If the prices were more competitive with evil Walmart I would be shopping here very frequently. Overall, they did a great job with the new store and have succeeded in attracting new customers! read more

I've been coming here 8 yrs since moving to Shorewood. Although the store itself is great, the pharmacy has to start doing a better job. Last two visits through the drive through has been less than ok. Today was pretty much the day I've decided we may look at another pharmacy to go for our family needs. My autistic child stated he thought the female tech at the drive through was outright rude. I'll say it again, my son is autistic and noticed she didn't have the right demeanor or customer service. They always seemed backed up and overworked. You can do better Shorewood. We are not in the North side hood. read more

I always end up thinking a basket will hold whatever I need and end up with an overflowing bucket of goodies (enter: candy, bandaids, candles, cold medicine, candy, oh and candy.) This store could use a bit of a face lift - and I think that it is going to have one once the new apartments and store front is open across the street next to Sendiks. Most staff are friendly, the other half are not at all. I've been to the pharmacy on two different accounts and I'm concern about the sanitary protocols taken by staff, or lack of. One time, this lady at the pharmacy sneezed into her hand and continued to touch other items behind the counter and prepare other ppls prescriptions. Another time I went and a lady in the pharmacy blew her nose and went straight to mix liquid antibiotics for a patient at the drive thru. That same visit as I was waiting for my prescription, the lady helping me took the prescription bottle out of my prescription bag and set the bag on the trash can as she was preparing my medicine. She needed to open the safety seal and used some random dirty item to break the seal. When she was done mixing, she grabbed the bag off the trash when she was done, and put my medication bottle back in and handed it to me. VERY DIRTY PHARMACY! Definitely passing germs/sickness onto customers medications. No gloves or hand sanitizers were used, just gross. read more

If i could give zero stars i would. I've never been so disrespected as I have by the pharmacy staff here. Each time I've attempted to pick up my prescription the a**holes working this pharmacy are incredibly rude. They allowed me to be skipped in line by 10+ people because they were too lazy to figure out an "insurance issue". Two pharmacy techs laughed at me as I cried about not being able to get my prescription. I have never been so angry and upset by costumer service before in my entire life. I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone. Each time I've gone i've waited 30+ minutes for a simple fucking prescription that should cost me $6. Each time they try to tell me my insurance is inactive and i'll need to pay $60. I HATE THIS PHARMACY DO NOT GO THERE. read more

Went into the store around 5 PM on a Sunday. Went to purchase a few items and the cashier's both said that they could not break a $100 bill. Not having change for a $100 bill is ridiculous. I know because I worked At Walgreens that there is a safe in the office that has change so they were just being lazy and I'm very disappointed in the service. I will not be coming back for quite some time because this has left a bad taste in my mouth. Wasn't even able to walk out with the items that I needed so you lost a sale. I guess I'm better off going to Walmart because they have everything I need and they always have change. read more

The store staff is always friendly and the pharmacy technicians hands down have provided me the best Walgreens pharmacy experience, out of any Walgreens in the area. Even when these folks are busy-- which is often these days with covid/flu vaccines and covid testing added to the pharmacy's list of services-- they maintain a professionalism that regularly includes a meaningful and accessible level of human engagement. I'm pretty sure Lisa B. has this Walgreens mixed up with the one down the street on Oakland (by UWM), as it is not frequented by college kids and does not have multiple red boxes. I like this Walgreens, it is small (albeit old) but the workers are very friendly and the store is stocked well. The prices are a bit high, but about what you'd expect at Walgreens. The location is ideal and this is a great place to stop and pick up a few necessities on your way home. read more

Told me at 10am that they had a particular medication in stock and that they would fill the prescription in an hour. At 4:30, they discovered that they didn't have it when they finally got around to actually looking for it. Reason: they have a lot of customers. Wish I could say it was the first time. This is a terrible store. The cashier took forever to get my address and email address correct. Then he claimed that I only had $2 at most in my balance rewards account but after I got my receipt I saw that I actually had $4 so not only was he incompetent he also lied to me. When I called the store and asked to speak to the manager a woman claimed that she was the manager which I highly doubt. When I complained about the cashier she hung up on me. After this treatment I don't see why I shouldn't switch to a different pharmacy. read more

Be aware this Walgreens does not honor online vaccine appointments. I had one that was confirmed by email and text for Shingles and was turned away because it involved more paperwork and they too busy doing flu shots. Had a flu shot appointment too and was seen only as a first come first served basis. read more

I usually try to avoid this Walgreens at all costs, because it is ALWAYS flooded with UW-Milwaukee students...but not just any college students, it is a ton of drunk students or clueless ones from the dorms. There usually is no line though, as the cashiers seem to move pretty quickly. The real reason I ever use this Walgreens is because it has NOT ONE BUT TWO RedBox centers outside, and seems to have more movies than the RedBox on North Ave. read more

Came to pick up antibiotics for my two children, both of whom I had in the car with me as we came straight from the doctor. First stop, they told me another 20 minutes, Second stop by, told me it was going to be another 20 minutes. Third stop at the drive-thru, told me that one was ready but the other two were going to be another 15 minutes. Just what I want to do with two sick young children, drive around and around while they cry in the back saying they just want to go home. read more

They used to be good. The voice activated phone system fails most of the time, so you have to phone in and wait a half hour to talk to a person and maybe get your pharmacy prescription filled. They used to make no errors, but now the voice activated phone and/or computer system makes a lot of errors, eg dropping promised prescriptions. Terrible experience at the pharmacy. My doctor had emailed a prescription earlier in the day and I went to run some errands making my last stop picking up my prescription. When I got there my prescription still had not been filled. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Over 45 minutes later I went to inquire about what was going on with my prescription and the tech went and grabbed it. It had been ready and just sitting back there. That was enough to upset me but then I had to wait while they tried to unsuccessfully process my insurance card. They said I needed a pharmacy card. I don't know what the problem was because I have used that card with no problem at every other pharmacy. I left irate because an hour of my time was wasted and I was not going to pay full price for medication that should be covered by my insurance. read more

Very curt and condescending cashier (possibly manager). Young woman who certainly demonstrates no value for being accommodating to customers, or ensuring they are helped in a courteous way. I accompanied my friend who needed to use Western Union services. This young lady was the closeest associate, and seemed irritated when my friend asked where the western union was, as if we should have already known; the Western Union turned out to be a digital kiosk, which we had no idea of, as we'd never used a Western Union and had only ever seen brick and mortar locations. After using the kiosk, my friend had to complete the transaction with the help of this condescending associate. She was flippant throughout the interaction, unprofessional, and employed a horrible sense of appropriate customer service skills throughout. She displayed the same air of condescension with a perfectly pleasant woman who was picking up photos while my friEnd and I were at the nearby Western Union kiosk. Unfortunate. read more
