When I am having a mental breakdown over insurance issues, you Mr. Pharmacist are there to make it all ok. You call my insurance and straighten out their mistakes and make me feel like I am going to make it after all. #MaryTylerMoorePun Mr. Pharmacist, you also handle a plethora of questions from old ladies with a smile. That is great customer service. You know they are asking you absurd things that someone with your level of education should not have to answer, but you do. Way to be amazing. Couple all this Mr. Pharmacist amazement with the fact that I can get a Cliff bar, a v8 juice, ice cream, Chex Mix, nail polish, and all the other random things I need in my life...Walgreens...you are just so good to me. read more

Service has steadily declined at this location over the years. They are understaffed in most areas of the store especially the pharmacy. Scripts often take a couple of days to process which never was the case. I used to love Walgreens because of the selection of things you could get there but now it's the same. Items are under lock and key due to theft etc. I'm actively looking for a local pharmacy that's not part of a huge chain. Listen to your customers before you don't have any left. read more

This review is for their photo dept. The staff is so nice and the quality is always amazing! We've been getting cards here for years, and now are using them for our wedding signs. The only negative, they never have the photos ready by the pick up time. Even with giving them a hour or few buffer, we always have to wait for them to start printing after we arrive. I came here to pick up some Sudafed due to having a cold. The pharmacist was quite pleasant when I asked them if they had Sudafed, but the older tech who checked me out was quite the opposite. I was told I couldn't purchase 2 boxes because "it clearly is against the law to purchase this much". I politely stated that in my previous state of residence, the limit was different and I apologized for my mistake. This was met with an absolutely rude head shake and eye roll. I would recommend this store, but beware of the poor hospitality in the pharmacy. read more

Staff is always friendly at this Walgreens and they filled my prescriptions very quickly. I know that some Walgreens locations sell alcohol but just want to note that this one does not. They have pretty much everything else you could need and the store is clean and organized. read more

PLEASE clean up that dump heap on the south wall of your building. I know for a fact that employees (including management) park right in front of it and none of you do anything about it. I've mentioned it 3 times in as many weeks. All the money we plug into that store and it can't even respect it's neighbors and customers. read more

Walgreen's Chemist Shop. I got a flu shot there this year and it was one of the better flu shots I've ever been on the receiving end of. One of the cashiers (possibly moved on since) looked a lot like the late Freddy Mercury. I always got a tad misty eyed when I would see her, remembering Mr. Mercury's stellar performance of "Radio Gaga" at Live Aid back in summer of 85. Anyway, decent enough Walgreen's. Fairly clean, good supply of whatever it is you need. Friendly gals at the front. Harry Blackett would be impressed with the family planning aisle. Its a pharmacy. At first it seemed like a real dump. The shelves were empty and it seemed like very unorganized. They were remodeling though and its easy to find what you need. Its close to home but the hours aren't as convenient as I'd like them to be (only open until 9 PM). The parking lot is kinda hard to navigate too, people seem to forget how to drive when they are in the lot. read more

Open letter to Mr. Wasson, President and CEO of Walgreen Co., As you know, Walgreens "1st quarter sales for 2014 is a record 18.3 billion dollars (http://investor.walgreens.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=815043). Front end sales are up by 2.4 percent "and (the) retail prescription market share...has (increased)... to 50 basis points compared with last year's first quarter that was at 19.4 percent." Your shareholders must be elated. This customer is not. Somewhere along the line during the past year my local Walgreens store on Oklahoma and Kinnickinnic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has completely lost my confidence. I have been a Walgreens customer for over 20 years. I had become accustomed to Walgreens keeping its promise to me as a customer as to when I could expect a service to be completed such as the advertised "one hour prescription refill service" or its advertised "one hour photo." I usually come to the store after five p.m. The parking lot is always packed full. When I get in the store, all I see are hurried clerks asking their customers if they want any candy or gum as they check out. There's no one in photo, and apparently no one visible on the floor to answer my questions about where something might be, or if the store even carries it. I know Walgreens carries lots of candy and gum. Every trip to the check out counter I am strongly persuaded to buy some. Meanwhile, Walgreens has hired the friendly and benign voice of actor, John Corbett to repeat Walgreens "on the corner of healthy and happy" mantra on copious television and print ads to the point where that mantra gets into people's heads. It got into my head but I am not getting the impression that the Walgreens Corporation wants me to be "healthy" or "happy." Walgreens offers me so many ways to get my prescription refill ordered. The voice prompt on the phone interface tells me my prescription will be ready in an hour. Three to four hours later I go to Walgreens only to find out my prescription is not ready. An additional insurance approval was needed, or the prescription was just not ready. This necessitates another one half hour wait in my already busy schedule. Walgreens did not alert me of the fact that my prescription would be delayed telephonically with it's electronic voice message the way it used to, so I know that my convenience is not a consideration. The different ordering interfaces seem more about Walgreens' desire to grossly under staff the pharmacy department as well as other store departments. When I go to pick up my photo order there is no one in photo to sell it to me. The pared down sales staff are too busy and too thinly stretched to be at the photo counter to check me out (during peak hours after work I might add). The stressed out clerk to the right of me is feverishly checking people out and it takes me a long while for me to get his attention. Finally, he announces on the intercom: "assistance needed in photo. After another ten-minute wait I finally get the sales clerk's attention for a second time, and he calls again on the intercom, "assistance is needed in photo." Minutes later, a clerk finally appears to sell me my photo order. Last week I went to Walgreens three nights in a row and had similar experiences. However, in spite of gross understaffing, all of the sales people I encounter at Walgreens are very polite and scrambling to do what they can. When the clerk finally comes to photo, she asks me if I "want any candy or gum." Again, I don't feel like Walgreens wants me to be healthy or happy. Although I am fond of chocolate, my doctor advised me against having any sugar in my diet. I am trying to keep myself happy, but continuous, unceasing intrusions by Walgreens sales clerks asking me if I want any candy or gum is driving me crazy. It makes me feel angry and manipulated. read more
