The new mobile check in for pharmacy is a horrible idea. It absolutely does not speed the process. Often times senior citizens are the pharmacy patients. I literally watched to seniors take 20 min to check in. It would have been longer if a nice young lady who's patience also short decided to help out. Bad idea Walgreens!!!! read more

I went into the Walgreens in Chicago Heights to have my passport photo taken. The manager, who I believe is named Mark, was extremely impatient, condescending, and argumentative. He told me I could only get a quick shot because he didn't want to stand for long, which I suspect was because he's over 500 pounds and had a strong odor. When I asked how long the process would take, he said 30 minutes. I inquired why it would take that long, and he responded that it was because there were other customers, even though the store was quite empty. I simply told him he was a terrible manager with poor customer service, and he then asked me to leave. Honestly, he shouldn't be working with the public at all. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for years and I don't know why I keep going there. But today was the last straw. I went to get my son's Rx's after his surgery, and their system was down. (And apparently they had been closed the day before for the same reason.) Not wanting to wait, I called the doctor and asked that they be sent to another pharmacy. But then insurance would not pay for it because Walgreen's had already pulled the prescription and started working on it. I have literally never had a good experience at this place. They don't answer their phones. I have had to literally drive there to ask a question in multiple instances. They are slow, literally slow. They walk around like work is an annoyance. Every time I pick up a prescription, they have to look in several different places to find it. When my daughter needed a vaccine for college, I drove 10 miles to another Walgreens, because that is the level if distrust that I have with them. Never going there again. read more

Not only will the pharmacy at this Walgreens change your perception amounts without notice they will refuse to fill the prescription! These people should really be ashamed of themselves. They aren't doctors but should like to play doctors. If you want to be a doctor go to school to be a doctor. I will get my prescriptions elsewhere and everything else I buy. Five to seven days of not having your prescription filled,numerous phone calls, hours of sitting on hold, being hung up on, being put on hold, limitless lies, excuses, and passing the buck are all things you can expect at the Walgreens, South Chicago Heights location. Do you enjoy being treated rudely? Lied to? How do you feel about being on hold for a half an hour per phone call, only to be hung up on? Walking in doesn't change this. The lines are longer, and they'll look you straight in the face and lie some more. They will tell you things like your doctor isn't getting back to them. Your last pharmacy refuses to answer their calls, and yesterday, it became more creative, with "merging profiles." These are all things you can expect should you decide to fill your prescription here. Average wait time on phone call one, half an hour, but you're looking at two, because you're usually hung up on the first call. Generally, call two they take more seriously, and you can complete the call and have your questions answered even if you're answered with lies. I'd recommend writing down names and dates, because at some point, you or your family may need an attorney. Especially after I read the post from the diabetic woman, and my experience with a blood pressure medication prescription transfer. I called seven days before my prescription ran out, and they couldn't fulfill the order leaving me three days without my medication. It looks nice, it has a convenient drive through. Glad you like it. You'll be here often, and for great lengths of time. You can expect to be at this drive through for a half an hour or longer average per visit. Remember, there's never just one visit to this drive through per prescription. Expect two to three visits per prescription on average. (I'm told they don't have enough staff) Did they lie to you and tell you your prescription was ready to be picked up? Make the best of this experience. You'll have it again. Things to do while you're waiting to be lied to about your prescription at the drive through. Hungry? Bring your dinner, have you been waiting to catch up on your reading? Now's your chance! Have you been been wanting to listen to a full length symphony? Don't worry you'll have time now. Depending on how this well oiled machine functions that particular day, you might be able to do all three while you waiting to be told they still don't have your prescription ready. This happens on average, three to five times per order. If you can get passed these reviews, because it is conveniently located, welcome, you're an undervalued customer at Walgreens, of South Chicago Heights! Some of us do this more than one time. I have had this experience four out of five orders. One went smoothly. I wish that hadn't happened, it gave me false hope. Unfortunately, I did not read these Yahoo reviews. I'm newer to the area. If you have any sort of chronic illness, this is not the place for you. If you have a job, this is not the place for you. (getting your prescription/s filled at this Walgreens is now, your full time job) If you're sick and need your medicine so you can live and stuff, they don't really seem to care about that. If I could give 0 stars I would! Their pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I have ever been too. There is always a problem here and today when I went to get my child's medication (which was a small dose) 3 hours after dropping off the prescription. I stood there for an hour. I was told they were making it now and then they told me they don't have the medication. It's a dose of medication! This place is horrible! Also- for the drive thru to never work and to have the worst customer service. I'm beyond annoyed and will never return here. read more

my prescription was done at 2, i arrived shortly after 2 to pick it up and the pharmacist told me they never received my order from the dentist and to try calling at 3. when i called i was put on hold for over an hour. after being fed up with the terrible quality of customer service through the phone i went back and they told me my prescription was done at 2.. they also had the wrong phone number for my account which i don't even know how because i've always had the same number. 0/10 if possible. a bunch of idiots . read more

I just got my Covid vaccine here; and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the pharmacy team. It's funny because I was anticipating a long wait based on previous reviews; but it looks like they changed pharmacy management, because everyone working at the pharmacy on March 16, 2021 at 4:15pm were extremely efficient. The guy at the pharmacy registry was quickly and cordially going back and forth between customers in the indoor pharmacy line and those waiting at the drive thru. The pharmacist, pharmacist technicians were also extremely polite and accommodating; and after driving 1 hr 15 minutes to this Walgreens for a Covid vaccine; I'm happy to report my trip was worth it! read more

I am at the drive up window, it is 8:25 am. They are not open. So I sit and wait. Sign says open at 8am. After 5 minutes of waiting someone comes on and the speaker and says the register is not working at the drive thru and I have to come inside. Well, I have covid and I can't physically make it inside the store nor would anyone want me to and I could use my meds. Lady comes back on and I get all of my prescriptions as I am writing this. There is NO sign at drive through stating the problem they have. I was going to leave a bad review because I thought I was sitting here for no reason because drive through is still closed. I will give them a 4 star because I got my meds and I thank them. My immune system is jacked up and covid is not good to me. I was gonna give them a 1 but they did respond at the "closed drive through". Still no sign at window to inform others. A simple sign or face at the window could have made this a five. read more

This Walgreens is unprofessional and more importantly, unreliable. I can't remember the last time that I walked in and picked up a RX without an issue. Usually it's because they filled one but not the other or not fill either. If I call first to make sure, I'm put on hold forever. I have been a Walgreens customer for many years. However, based on the service from the pharmacy at this location, that will no longer be true. I transferred all of my prescriptions over to another place, which gives me peace of mind. It's ironic to tell the staff about the trouble and to find them not caring one way or another. I guess they don't care about losing customers because that's what I have gathered from them. Too often my prescriptions weren't ready or hadn't been processed. Do not get your prescription filled at this Walgreens! The worst customer service! This Walgreens gave me the run around for 3 days. I am diabetic and a health care professional. After not ordering my lancet device and having me to come in for 2 days straight, and stating we have not ordered your device, they pharmacist rep had the nerve to ask me did I want her to send my prescription to another Walgreens. My response was No I want my prescription sent to a Walmart where I get better customer service. I immediately called my Dr office and explain my experience and request to never have my prescription sent to a Walgreens ever! I have not checked my Accu check in 4 days dealing with this Walgreens. This Walgreens has some of the most unprofessional ignorant people working in the pharmacy that I have ever encountered anywhere. I would recommend Kmart CVS OSCO or any other pharmacy around. When I dropped off my script I asked for the total price the woman did not want to take the time to enter it in the computer because she was extremely lazy. So when I returned 2 hours later because that how long it takes them to count out 60 pills I found that if cost 30 dollars more than when I got it last month. So I asked if it was possible to get the written script back which she said yes. Well unfortunately I was already out so I decided I would pay the extra 30 and just deal with it. So I said just give me it and she replied I already cancelled it it will be another 2 hours to make it again. In which case they were closing and I would have to pick it up tomorrow anyway. In closing I will never spend another dollar at that store with those extremely ignorant pharmacy employees. I'll go to Kmart where there is only a 10 minute wait to count to 60. read more
