Holley Pharmacy started using computers in 1985 when neither CVS or Rite-Aid had them. Throughout the years it has adopted technologies that improved customer service. The staff is extremely friendly . Their pharmacist John Carl has been at the same Pharmacy since 1981. The owner Luke started at the same pharmacy when he was only 16 yrs old . The pharmacy techs Cori, Michelle, Kiersten has been there for over 10 years and are just awesome as far as customer service. The turnover rate in this place is better than Costco. Average time of an employee at the pharmacy is over 7years. The pharmacy also has a great delivery service with deliveries going out 3 times a day and it's totally free service because Holley Pharmacy cares. There are also many other employees in the pharmacy not mentioned here who give great customer service also. I know all this because I have going to Holley Pharmacy since the 80s.

For the aforementioned employees that leave much to be desired, one could almost believe they took the following trainings for their position: 1) How to sound patronizing, 2a) How not admit fault/take responsibility 2b) How to displace blame 3) How to make it sound like they are going out of the way doing YOU a favor (um, has anyone told you it's YOUR JOB?) The cherry on top? (Not a deal breaker, but still!) The pharmacy blasts the most abrasive hold music you'll ever hear, interrupted constantly by a recording of a woman apologizing OVER and OVER for the wait and insisting that all their employees are busy helping others. Every time I call, I am on hold for around 2-5 minutes. I don't mind holding. But I do under these circumstances. It makes me want to scream and throw my phone against the wall. How high is your threshold of tolerance for smooth jazz and the same repetitive interruption saying the same thing over and over again every 30 seconds? EVERY 30 seconds, one gets their hopes up thinking just maybe it's a real human picking up to help you, but no, it's that annoying recorded woman apologizing profusely again. I have given this pharmacy a few months to redeem itself but disappointingly have been let down consistently at least 75% of the time. One last aside: On a more serious note, when I first started using this pharmacy, I regrettably even had to report them for unethical and illegal conduct I experienced not once, not twice, but three times. In that instance, I truly hope they didn't know any better and it was a product of poor training. I should've heeded that red flag in the beginning and gone elsewhere sooner. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. I am happy to share this hasn't happened again since I filed the report.

I was feeling pretty low about myself, and not very pretty. I thought if I bought some new makeup, I'd feel better about myself. Nope! Didn't work. I walked in. The front door was very heavy, and I was strugglibg to open it, because I'm weak due to my chemo. A bottled red head, all made up, cupie doll sat at the front ready to greet me with a smile. She can back with, "Oh sorry hun, we don't sell MAC" I told her that I just read an article in The NY Times where they announced Sephora was now selling MAC" She said, Nope! Sorry hun! Yes, she called a 55 year old women hun. Extremely inappropriate for a girl her age. I do not think hun, baby, doll, any of those types of greeting are appropriate for anyone, at any age. Her smile was obnoxious and she said nothing more after that. She stood there like she expected me to walk away. So I did just that. Turned and walked straight out the door. That was that. No, How about I show you what we have that is comparable? I would have been fine with an alternative option. But the girl was not bright enough to turn it into a sale. She probably even thought she did he job well. So I left, went to Ulta and dropped Over 500.00 there on all new makeup. Not all of it was MAC. But the girls at Ulta were incredible. Helpful, nonjudgmental. They were not made up like Cupie dolls, like in Sephora. They had a more mature, classic look to their makeup. Sephora might be for kids, but I have 6 daughters and 10 granddaughters that will be getting Ulta gift cards from now on, instead of Sephora. What was it, that Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman. I informed them that I wouldn't be buying anything today, I was just looking. The employee responded by asking me if I was a cosmetoligist to which I responded no, I'm just here to compare a few items and get pricing. She responded by informing me that the prices are for distributors only anyway and reiterated I was not permitted to look around. Essentially, she was telling me to leave. My cosmetoligist comes to my home and told me to compare a few things I was interested in and then she would pick them up before our next appointment, but the staff at this location did not even give me the opportunity to say that. If members of the public are not welcome in their store, it should be clearly posted on the door (I have been to many beauty supply distributors where this is the case and specifically checked for any indication of that before entering). It was an awful experience and I will absolutely be making sure that when the items I need are purchased, it is not through this company.

I looked through the store and tried different scents. I still didn't see it, so I asked, and the staff person even looked at the back stock to make sure they were out of it. He was very nice and helpful. I also really like that the have sinks in the store. You can put lotions on your hands and wash them off so you don't smell like a perfume store when you go home. And you can try their different soaps.
