I had no idea ! It had been years since I last visited, so I was really excited to go back with my sisters. Staff welcomed us, we got some drinks and had such a fun time sniffing all the endless possibilities we could create. Once we had our fave lists together and sat down to create the scent... I ended up not loving mine. Even with their help and some tweaking, I just wasn't feeling it at all, which was a little disappointing for me. I did end up finding a happy medium in the end.. and honestly I was having such a good time with my family that I didn't let it bother me anyway. BUT when I picked up my candle the next day... I was completely blown away !! The scent had mellowed out and smelled way better than the day before. Like it was basically what I was looking for ! I guess sometimes it's just like that. So if you're not loving what you made... just wait until you pick it up and give it a sniff then. I will definitely be back now that I have my list of favorite smells and cant wait to make another.

Parkleigh has saved my life by stocking all the gifts I forgot to get, didn't want to cart all the way to Western New York, or didn't even know I wanted to buy. They have something for everyone, and I truly mean that. If you can't find a gift for someone here, it's because that person doesn't like anything at all. They've got chocolates of all kinds, tea and coffee ground to order (which I wish I'd known before I'd bought mine elsewhere), beauty products, stuffed animals, coasters, books, flasks, camping gear, cookware, Bills gear, candy, and of course, socks, cards, mugs, shirts, hats, and anything else you could want with clever and funny little sayings. Seriously, so many socks. I've never seen this many socks that talk about drinking wine. But if that's something you need in your life, get over to Parkleigh. This location is inside of Eastview Mall. They carry all the products and have a beauty insider thing that you can rack up points for all sorts of things and different levels due to your spending habits. I'm now VIB... it's taken a bit.. but I think due to Covid I've been grateful for ordering online and everything comes perfectly packaged. When I was able to get to this location it was great to get samples of perfumes before I bought them.. it was always a plus. It's a great place to find all your fine makeup needs. Give them a whirl! I could have been in that store for hours. It had a family environment, parents shopping with their kids. If your kids are into metals, rocks, or crystals this spot is it. I wasn't looking but I'm sure they have D&D stuff and other fun gam I liked the store a lot. Some of these mystic shops have a witchy vibe, which isn't my thing. This place felt more wholesome. You can get what you need most likely if you're spiritual from this shop, BUT-- there's a seeming lack of social responsibility that should concern my fellow respectful witches. They sell white sage and native/African cultural practice tools that are not appropriate for mass consumption. (Outside of people of those descents.) In their 7 day candle section there was an 'Indian power candle' referring to natives, along with the white smudge sticks and other tools of that nature. It is my understanding based upon the actual words of Native American people in the spiritual and witchcraft community that native sourced dream catchers and such ARE an appropriate thing to sell as long as actual Native Americans are the source of these goods and being compensated, but white sage is both unsustainable and not meant to be used outside of their closed practices. And using a native person as a mascot on your candle with the wrong terminology is beyond inappropriate.

Drove to Ulta and was met by nice, mature women, whose make-up was done tastefully! I have cancer and am in chemo. I wanted new make up to do my face up, before shaving my head. Because my hair was coming out fast and furious. The women here were helpful. I picked out my make up! Spent a few hundred dollars. Too bad for you Sephora. I have 6 daughters and 10 granddaughters! In the past, I've always bought them Sephora Gift cards. Today that has all stopped. From now on it is only Ulta Gift cards. Thank you Ulta for treating ALL women like they matter! Happy Easter!

When I do go inside, it's hit or miss in terms of what's available. I've ordered a few things online for in-store pickup. The staff was friendly, but having to show ID to collect your items felt a bit odd, though I understand it's their policy. Once your order is ready, you'll receive an email with a QR code that needs to be scanned at pickup. I've heard they're opening a new location in Pittsford Plaza, where Bed Bath & Beyond used to be, which is great news! This location has plenty of shared parking, so it's easy to navigate.
