The pharmacist is rude, my mother who is elderly called I her prescription earlier in the week and they already returned to stock and when I asked about it the rude pharmacist barked that he just spoke with her and she only had the one. I then looked up the name and provided to the nice assistant at the register and he told me it was returned to stock. We have more trouble with this pharmacy. read more

After being talked at by a useless automated robo answering device, I was put on hold to wait for an employee. I was on hold for almost five minutes, but I can understand that they can be busy. They charged more than the normal price so I asked if they also used my secondary insurance because the price is wrong; she said no and she actually refused to run the second insurance, so I refused to pay for the prescription. My wife had a 10 level fusion surgery on her spine at the New England Baptist Hospital on November 2, 2022. she was discharged on November 6, 2022. The doctor submitted two prescriptions to Walgreens in Stoneham mass. The pharmacy said Blue Cross Blue Shield needed prior approval. The doctor tried to submit prior approval to Blue Cross Blue Shield but they are closed on the weekends, the doctor then called Walgreens and spoke to the pharmacist Lori Roberts and explained that my wife needed the pain medication. Lori Roberts refused to fill my wife's pain medication. The doctor said it was imperative that she received this medication due to the severity of the operation. Lori Roberts again refused to fill it. I went to Walgreens in Stoneham and pleaded with her to fill my wife's prescription. She responded "take her back to the hospital." This upset me greatly and I asked why was she playing God with my wife's health. Her response was "fuck you ". I refused to leave until they gave me six pills to hold my wife over for the night. The next day another doctor from the hospital called Walgreens to have the rest of the prescription filled. Again Lori Roberts refused to fill it. I eventually went to CVS in Stoneham and they filled the prescription without a problem. This type of behavior is unprofessional and unethical. I am now considering a lawsuit against Walgreens and Lori Roberts. read more

The only place in the entire store where you recieve any help is in the Cosmetics Dept. There you will always get friendly and helpful advice. Now, Pharmacy is a nightmare usually. I just left the pharmacy after the fat brunette with glasses overlooked me after standing at the drop off counter for 15 MINUTES while she helped someone with a pickup. But when another customer walked up, she wants to act like she didn't see me there. 6 foot black girl, ok. Then tell me he was there first, while rolling all of her four eyes. I did go in here recently, and I told my better half that this place is like a "ghetto CVS". It's true. It's smaller, less selection, little messier, and just feels... ODD. How has no one reviewed Walgreens yet? I get EVERYTHING here! Great local drug store that carries just about everything. I get all of my personal & bathroom goods here because they're much cheaper than the grocery stores, department stores and even Target. They often have buy one get one free sales so it's a good time to stock up! The pharmacy is great! Not only do they have a drive through, but they use something called ePrescriptions, which means that when your prescription runs out, Walgreens will call your doctor to order a refill for you, saving you countless hours trying to get your doctor on the phone! read more

Went today to fill a prescription though not were i normally go but it was handy to the area i was in. I know why i stopped coming here the pharmacy staff was so disrespectful and rude said my prescription would be ready in an hour which 2hours later they had no answers on to when it would be ready i called my dr. Which the pharmacist said she had been calling and that she was talking with the dr as i was talking to my dr. Which my dr. Never received any calls from this pharmacy. worst phone etiquette ever! three times, not once, not twice but three times i waited on hold for over 20 minutes for a pharmacist because the automated service did not offer the answer i needed, and three times someone picked up and hung up the phone! i could hear the background noise from the store when they picked up. three times is not a glitch with the phone or service three times is not a mistake, three times is rude! i will be taking my business out of walgreens from now on! read more

So that crazy lady cashier who was ALWAYS here that I wrote about in my previous review, is long gone now. This has made my Walgreen's shopping experience that much better. I no longer leave with three items in like seven different bags. Anyways, I am in here fairly regularly. I wouldn't say the prices are amazing, but you can sometimes find a good deal. It is convenient to where I live and work, and has all the essential items a drug store should have. They also sell peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets that are an awesome snack. This is mainly the reason I come in here. So if you're in the greater Stoneham area and need a drug store that is not CVS, this is the place for you. read more

Worst pharmacy north of Boston. Rude employees, perpetual waits, incompetence and a complete absence of any semblance of customer service define this operation. If you don't like people, hate answering the phone, enjoy watching people wait and squirm, apply within because that about sums up the staff they seem to recruit. "Walgreens Stoneham, hold!" That's the greeting you'll receive over and over IF they answer the phone. If you go through the drive-through the line will move one car every 15 minutes. When you do reach the window they will walk over eventually and greet you with bile. If you wait in line on the inside it's similar to going through the drive-through, so it makes little difference how you go about engaging with them. If you do use this pharmacy, I recommend going to CVS and asking them to have your prescription(s) transferred over. CVS will handle the bureaucracy for you and spare you the misery of that final interaction with the misfits that work at the Walgreens in Stoneham. read more

I am in general a big fan of Walgreens, but I have to say that the Walgreens in Stoneham (specifically the photo department) left a lot to be desired. The first time I ordered photos to pick up at the Stoneham, MA location, I received an e-mail that they were ready and went to pick them up. The girl seemed completely confused and it took about ten minutes before she could finally find all of my photos. Then today I ordered photos again and an hour after they were supposed to be finished I still hadn't gotten any notification, so I called the photo department and was rudely told over the phone that there were many problems with my order. It then turned out there was actually one specific problem, which was that one of my pictures wouldn't print on the size I'd ordered it in and needed to be printed on larger paper. Apparently nobody felt like they should let me know there was a problem until I myself called to ask. Additionally, the guy on the phone was very rude. Walgreens is a pretty great store, but steer clear of the Stoneham location. I recommend the Melrose Walgreens instead--the people there are amazingly friendly and helpful and have some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. read more

There always seems to be an issue getting a prescription filled here. Some of the staff was helpful in explaining why whereas others were rude about it. After experiencing this multiple times I have had enough. Haven't experienced these issues at CVS. Will avoid from now on. read more

The store itself is ok, even though you have some that sounded like they floated over here on a door. The Pharmacy, however, has an accuracy rating of 9 out of 10 screw-ups with my orders. I don't fill many, and they aren't anything out of the ordinary, but a 15 minute wait time can easily mean 50 and they give you generic when you don't ask for it. I kind of miss the days with a Fatherly type guy (or woman, to be fair) who knew the meds outright, rather than some dim early 20 somethings who think nothing of wasting people's time. I have to agree with the negative review about the pharmacy. While some of the staff were helpful - others were less than enjoyable to speak with. I was absolutely wronged in my refill being a few pills short, but they assured me that I was in the wrong and was given the correct amount. Given how expensive these medications can get I expected a little bit more effort in trying to remedy my situation. This was only my second time going to Walgreens for the pharmacy, but I will not be returning. read more

This place sucks and when I get the name of the complete jerk off whom told me to "slow my roll" there will be another review. I am a chronic illness patient and every time I go to pick up my meds here there seems to be some sort of problem. The biggest being this real moron who seems to have zero customer service skills. I picked up my meds 2 days later than usual last month because I had missed 2 days of meds last month due to being so sick I couldn't hold down anything in my stomach. My meds were due the 17 of December. As I had picked up the meds 2 days late last month I was not allowed to pick up my meds on the 17th. Which should have been possible, as insurance allows up to a 2 day early refill. I sent my bf to get my meds as I still am not feeling that great, but at least I can hold down my meds. . When he came back the 2 most important meds were not filled. And when I called I recognized the jerks voice who had given me a rude attitude last encounter... no longer will I get my meds there. Id rather travel to Guam every month if I had to to avoid this unprofessional jackass. read more
