I have frequented this location for the pharmacy but needed to go inside today as this is the only "Fedex" location within 20 miles. Mike (Manager) was amazing! He printed out my shipping label, helped package and secure my items. Several other staff made sure I was being helped. One in particular went the extra mile (I wish I got her name), but they were all great and very friendly! Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the pharmacy is always VERY slow and the pharmacy staff are not the nicest. read more

Prescription called in 12/6. Endless loop while I waited on hold 12/7 for about 30min. to check Rx is ready before I drive 30 miles. Lady picks up, tells me they don't have the Rx. I knew they did. Driving down the road, phone rings. I called back, spoke to a pharmacist who supposedly got things straight, Rx to be ready Monday. After wading through the endless loop, I'm told they don't have what was settled on. Inhaler is now 3 days from running out. Asked to get original scrip, am told Dr will have to call back. The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. read more

The pharmacy is not equipped to handle large volumes of customers. I have been trying to get a prescription filled for my father since Saturday. They said they would reach out to the Dr for approval on a generic brand and I haven't heard from them since. I have tried calling the pharmacy 3 times and I was on hold for 8 minutes and then the call disconnected. I called the store who said they would get a manager involved and all they did was transfer me after a few minutes the phone disconnected again. All the while my father who has congestive heart failure can't get his medication and i can't get ahold of anyone to have them transfer the prescription to another pharmacy. I don't live nearby so I can't just swing by and walk in the store to get help. unacceptable service. read more

The Walgreens on Godwin Boulevard is a great location to use as a pharmacy, convenience store, and to print photos. It is located directly next to the Sentara Obici hospital which makes it a very convenient pickup spot for prescriptions when leaving the hospital. An added bonus is that you can access the Walgreens without heading back out to the main road! The staff are friendly and attentive and were a pleasure to deal with when I got my flu shot here earlier this year. Though this location can get busy, it never seems too crowded or out of control! I've also been able to find some great deals on clearance while shopping this location, something you can't beat! There are always a lot of options available when searching for a pharmacy, but I've been very satisfied since coming here! read more

I made same-day appointments to receive vaccines later that morning. We arrived early but waited in line for a half hour, 20 minutes past our appointment time to be seen at the front desk. All of the employees were friendly and professional but it seemed that they were badly in need of training on the Walgreens system. It took three employees more than 20 minutes to enter our personal information and prescription information into their system. We came with pre-immunization questionnaires completed and turned them in at the desk when we were being seen. We took a seat. Another 20 minutes later, a counter person handed us clipboards with pre-immunization questionnaires to complete again. Fortunately, another staff person told the clerk that we had already turned in those forms. It was ANOTHER half hour wait before we were called back for our vaccinations. The pharmacist who did the vaccinations was kind and professional but she acknowledged that their was chaos in how this pharmacy was running its vaccination system. So, even with appointments, it took us more than an hour and a half to receive our vaccines. To complete our Walgreens "experience," I was unable to submit feedback directly to Walgreens on my cellphone using the barcode on the receipt because the app would not allow for corrections or editing. Then, when I tried to provide my input on their survey website, I was blocked from submitting feedback because the system did not recognize the survey # and password on the bottom of the receipt. This location hands down has the friendliest staff but they need separate covid and pharmacy cashiers. Waiting for 15 -20 mins to just ask a pharmacy question is a bit much. read more

Over the last two years I have seen many specialists in the medical field and I have almost died with Covid. I have been hospitalized a lot and home a lot too. Thank goodness when I'm home I have the professionals at Walgreens keeping up with my Medication needs. read more

Horrific lines to get a prescription or respect. I was on medication for genetic illness I have. The medication has multiple purposes. I was preapproved long ago by insurance. When I went to pick it up. I was told rudely by a young black lazy pharm tech on Godwin that my insurance wasn't filed because I am over weight. Insurance cover my issues. I had to pay full price. I looked the prescription my insurance was never billed at all. I went across the street and was kindly greeted and I explain my issues. Insurance paid for my medicine ever since. Rudeness and Arrogance tells me Walgreens is discriminatory in their practices. No one deserves that level of judgement. read more

I love the Walgreens on Godwin Blvd. All of the employees are friendly and very helpful but today was the capstone for me. I received a call from the pharmacist to check on a new medication I started taking. She asked me how I was feeling and if I had any questions. I was surprised but pleasantly so to receive the call. I am not fond of medication but I do what I need to. I was so appreciative and felt extremely valued. Walgreens on Godwin Blvd has been my pharmacy of choice since they opened. This is one of my favorite drug stores fill all my medicine when needed. I love the convience of the drive thru. I love that they have the rewards card, and except AARP members. They have a middle aisle that carries clearance items I use this for purchasing my birthday presents for Christmas and all occasion gifts, for you can really find some great deals on this aisle. The employee always greet you with an welcome and eager to assist you. Management is very professional and they always seem to work as hard S the employees which is very rare these days. Highly recommend Walgreens for all your family needs. They even have an phone app where you can order you medicine and keep up with your medical needs. When ordered your prescriptions you can choice to be notified by phone or text when your order is available for pickup and the time. Love love this app. For those of us with pets, they have a great selection for their needs. Overall I like the variety they offer, I've never had to ask for a rain check on any items that they have advertised. Oh they have a great return and exchange policy on all there brand items, and the great part is when you use your rewards card it computes every purchase you make how convent if you misplace your recent. read more
