Since moving to Sun City we have had nothing but the most amazing service at this Walgreens. We used to go to another central Phoenix Walgreens and they were okay but they absolutely can not hold a candle to this one. We mostly go for my Mom's meds and the people are amazing at this Walgreens pharmacy, they always call me right back when I am requesting her refills. They ask if they can refill any of her other meds while I'm on the phone. They contact the doctor immediately if needed for any further refills. They asked me if they can transfer all of her meds to this location for further refills. They always fill it within the hour typically or at least that same day. We are always in and out when we pick it up wether in store or at the drive thru. The employees in the store are this way as well. Always courteous, helpful, above and beyond. This location has embodied the true meaning of customer service and it is so refreshing to interact with a business that is proactive instead of reactive. I usually shop in this Walgreens in Sun City only because it's convient. I am a rewards member and it doesn't seem to matter. The cashier never gives me the rewards unless I am persistent. She acts like she's doing me a favor when I buy in the store. Half the time only some of the rewards are taken off. It's a hit or miss when it comes to finding the items you need. They take a long time to replenish inventory and their items are the most expensive I have ever seen anywhere. Are their items fresh? Do they merchandise well? I bought 2 candles on sale on July 1 the color was wrong compared to how it looked in the store. July 2 less than 24 hours - I wanted to return them - with my receipt - they wanted my drivers license - I said I have my receipt!! Sorry, no drivers license- no return. Called the Mgr. she added - no DL plus, it's on sale - can't return. No sign says that. She claims it's on back of the receipt :) that you do not get until item is paid for - too small to read. So, I am at the register and the cashier grabs my 2 breakable items - I said Leave My Stuff Alone!! I called Walgreens Corporate because this was now HARASSMENT. I now had my 2 candles in My Hands - and the cashier trys taking them OUT OF MY HANDS!! I said leave my Flippin stuff alone!!! She told me to leave the store - she said she was calling the POLICE!!! I said GO Ahead! So, I am actually on the phone to Walgreens Corporate - filing a complaint - and this cashier is in the background saying stuff - RUDE, ARROGANT, BELIGERANT, HOSTILE. This is a Senior Citizen Neighborhood Sun City AZ 99th Avenue 85351 All I wanted to do is return 2 candles I bought yesterday - had my receipt - And I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO!!!!! This is regarding the pharmacy at 107th Ave. & Peoria. I went to pick up a RX and found they only filled it for 1 mth. I told them I get 3 months. He checked and got approval for 3 mths and told me to come back in a few hours and I could get a partial refill while they ordered the remainder needed to fill the RX. I received a text msg that it was ready for pickup. I waited a couple of days to pick it up and they said it needed approval and they didn't have any in stock. (What happened to the 1 mth supply that was RX was originally filled with). I explained everything that had happened a couple of days before and showed her the text and the email I received telling me my RX was ready for pickup. Too bad, so sad (for me). I was able to get part of the RX at a different Walgreens and will have to make another trip to pickup the rest. I have had them give the item ordered for me to another customer if they say they are out. This has then caused me to call/drive to find it. I watch when the RXis due to be refilled and am thoroughly upset at their practices. read more

My wife and I were just at the drive through for her covid test. Worst experience we have ever had. The woman working the window, we'll call her Psycho Karen for now, would not let my wife have any privacy. She wouldn't let her roll the window up, nor would she let her set the stuff in her lap so she couldn't open packages, etc. She kept saying "I have to watch everything so you do it right or we will have to make you start over every time". This woman was so rude it was unreal. She treated my wife like she was taking a drug test and she's trying to cheat. Who is this crazy Karen and who does she think she is? This wasn't her test and why would someone try to cheat the test? We have both taken so many covid tests as most people have and she acts like she's the covid police? This person needs to work elsewhere, maybe a prison or something but certainly shouldn't be a customer facing position. read more

I went to this pharmacy for a vaccine... This is a very, very, busy pharmacy. They deal with a challenging clientele (patients over age 70) they were patient, accommodating and never showed the stress that I know they were under. Usually the people at this store are really nice but today had a bad experience. As I was waiting in line the cashier and older white women and customers a old white women and man. They were going on about how those people need to go back to there country and they talk bad about us they call us gringo pigs and that why trump was deporting them. This is the closest Walgreens to my home and I'm pretty disappointed. The last few times I have come here to make a deposit on my card and have experienced nothing but rude customer service from their cashier Jan. She spoke to me as if I was dumb and was completely rude. She didnt really even want to help me it felt. I wasn't asking for much only to put money on my prepaid card I have. The pharmacy is a joke. Today I went to pick up prescriptions and not only received what the doctor ordered yesterday but also one from July 17, 2019 that I had already picked up. This is the second time that they have completely messed up prescriptions that I have ordered. Of course they find it all very funny and blame everyone but themselves. Time to find a new pharmacy. I only come here for the pharmacy since it's right by my house. The employees seem like there's always something more important to do than pay attention than you. Which is fine, it's Walgreens. I just want to pick up my meds and move on with my day. Today I went to pick up my prescription and grabbed a gallon of water for the day and dropped it while waiting in line for the pharmacy. I went to find an associate to tell her and refused to be acknowledged until one associate was finished clarifying why the refrigerator shelves were set the way they were. So when I finally was allowed to tell this woman that water was all over the floor she just said "OK." Seriously?? You need to get a wet floor sign up ASAP and clean it up or let ME clean it up so no one gets hurt! I stayed by the water spot and warned people coming down the isle. Two, to be exact. That could have been two incident reports and possibly two law suits the way people are now a days. Super frustrating. read more

When you enter this Walgreens, yes, you are greeted by the front cashier with a cheery, "Welcome to Walgreens!" On the way out, the front cashier says, "Thank you for shopping at Walgreens!" However, once you reach the pharmacy the "good customer service" goes into the toilet! It is the absolute worst! Four/five UNBUSY women behind the counter and they will let a long line of elderly people form without staffing more than one register. They go out of their way to avoid making eye contact - in an unsuccessful bid to pretend NOT to see the long line forming. I could understand if all four/five women were actually busy, but they are typically chatting or all hovering over the same computer screen. Apparently something terribly perplexing warrants their collective energy and attention. Without fail, once the line of 5 or more elderly people is down to 2 people, THEN one of these lazy women will come to the register and ask if we've been helped!! I have been in this pharmacy at least a half dozen times in the last month and on 3 occasions, they been short or completely out of prescriptions. They promise to call when the remaining portion of the prescription arrives, but they NEVER do. The next time I have to visit this pharmacy, I will film my visit from beginning to end and send it to their corporate office. The system they currently have in place is very flawed and it doesn't lend itself to good customer service or common courtesy. And no, I am not jealous that four+ women are paid to ignore customers; I have always taken pride in my work and wouldn't expect a paycheck for 40 hours/week when I've only actually worked 10 hours. read more
