I accompanied my 19 year old grandson on Monday of this week, for routine bloodwork, at the Walgreens on 56th and Busch. The lab tech was unbelievably rude and condescending. Even as the patrons went out of their way to be kind. She continued just being really rude. My grandson even commented, "I wonder why she was being so rude?" It took me all of 3 days to write this review...but, I personally believe it cost nothing to be kind. Especially when you chose a career of service. read more

Walgreens - Time on hold - Drugstores Near Me - Temple Terrace, Florida

This place is a joke, moreso the pharmacy, everytime i try to order my adderall, WHICH IM LEGALLY GETTING for school!! They're always very hesitant and weird about it! long delays, excuses, i got hung up on a few times and one time just refused outright to fill it! They take forever when they do finally fill it after having to call, theres always SOMETHING going on with this place and its annoying! I got an insurance delay notification and when i went to call to ask what was going on, i got told i was refilling my medication "too quickly" mind you, i have not requested a refill for 3 months over the summer and it took 5 days for them to eventually get to it, then the order disappeared!! I had to call again just to get hung up on. im most definitely switching over to a different one. I can't imagine how people with life saving medication like blood pressure medication and heart disease pills have to go through, it's quite literally life or death!! read more

This Walgreens is so slow they give the DMV a run for their money. If you need to call them expect to be on the phone for a loooooong time listening to hold music. I'm changing pharmacies. read more

The pharmacy needs to put a sign on the front of the pharmacy window that says YOU NEED AN APPOINTMENT FOR FLU SHOTS. Instead my poor 92 year old father had to wait in a long line to finally be told you need an appointment. Total waste of time. read more

I've been on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get a script status. I go on hold and when someone picks up they put me back on hold without handling the call. I've sat in hold for 20 minutes just to be put back on hold over, and over again. understaffed or not, that's unacceptable. who do these people report to?? read more

I would give zero stars if possible. This pharmacy has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It's like pulling teeth to get your prescription filled and even harder to have it delivered. I haven't spoken to one person here who is not just downright rude. read more

This place is always understaffed. Saturday I went to pick up my pictures and the only cashier couldn't find them. She had to page the manager (who never showed up) six times and two other people left because we were all tired of waiting. The only cashier looked tired and was moving slowly and there were no other employees there. Definitely the worst experience I have had there. read more

First I understand they are understaffed and I know it's not the staffs fault. Also the nearby winn dixie pharmacy closed and all patients who didn't switch pharmacies themselves were automatically shuttled over to this place which makes it so so much worse and not this stores fault. That being said when my husband went in to pick up meds a few months back the line was 20 people deep and it took forever. After he came out(i waited in the car cause we had our dog with us) I went in to use the restroom and when I came out a man propositioned me! He asked if I wanted to make a quick $100 and when I said no(he was actually shocked by this) he said how about just for fun then? I hurried past and he called after me but once he saw me getting into the car with my husband he yelled an i'm sorry. Gross! And this was in broad daylight! This place needs security outside. I went yesterday to pick up meds and the line was shorter but extremely slow moving. Given the staffing issues and the line sizes they need to put a policy in place that people cannot shop and then check out a cart full of stuff at the pharmacy(as one woman did last night) even when picking up meds. At minimum an item limit(no more than 2-3 items not counting any meds being picked up). It really isn't fair to those people just waiting for meds. The lady I dealt with was perfectly polite and I no problems in getting my meds. They simply need more people. read more

The pharmacy is a joke! My doctor sent over my pain medication prescription (mind you I just had surgery) 4 TIMES and each time I called, I waited on the line about 15-20 minutes each time! Constantly being put on hold and usually without anyone telling me. Whenever I would finally get a hold of someone, they would say that that nothing was ever sent over. So each time I talked to my doctor, he confirmed the store, phone number, and address of the store. Idk what the heck is going on at that store but I won't be back. I have such a love/hate relationship with this Walgreens. Yet I still go here all the time because A) it is convenient, close to me and open 24/7, B) it has everything you could need and more and C) the CVS directly facing it is impossible to get to and requires too much maneuvering to get in and out from the opposite diagonal side of the massive Busch and 56th intersection, if that makes any sense whatsoever. So, there are many negative things that I could talk about here but just a few that might be interesting: 1) The prices are NOT GOOD when compared to Publix directly next door. For example, I felt like making brownies at midnight one night so I came in and found some brownie mix. Bought it, made it, the rest is history. The next day, I decided to check the price of the same mix at Publix, and it was at least $1.50 cheaper. That doesn't seem like that much, but when the item itself is only worth two dollars you've got to say whaaaaaaat? I mean, since they are open 24/7 and people like me like to make brownies at strange times, I guess they can justify the price. But I will never do that again. 2) The store is kind of sketchy and there are a lot of solicitors. I suppose you can't blame Walgreens for the people that hang around outside, but as a woman coming into the store by myself in the middle of the night I would rather not be approached by several random men coming out of the shadows every single time I go here. They would do well having some kind of security there or at least enforcing the no soliciting rule. 3) For some reason the wait times at the 'Take Care Clinic' are much worse here than most other spots in Tampa. I came here recently after a sudden onslaught of sickness. The website suggested booking an appointment online, but online appointments were unavailable at this particular location; instead, you had the option to go as a walk-in and wait. Wait I did.... and wait. I was lucky enough to get in riiight before the mandatory one-hour lunch break of the NP, who was great by the way. $106 later I had a diagnosis for strep and a prescription. A little more than I would have liked to pay especially due to the fact that I actually lost consciousness while waiting in the sick chairs outside the exam room, but I was glad I got it over with. OK, the positives: 1) On the same note as the last negative, the NP at the Take Care Clinic was knowledgeable and helpful. The strep test took five minutes, literally. The prices weren't cheap to pay out of pocket but she suggested I fill my prescription at Publix to save money. The pharmacy techs on the other hand had no idea what they were doing and couldn't answer any of my questions about the Take Care Clinic, timing, what to do, etc. The NP legitimately said to one of the customers "they have no idea what they are doing." 2) They have everything and I have fun walking around here like a lost wanderer looking at pet supplies and holiday cheer items. Did you know Walgreens (often) has sparkle charms for your dog's collar? Well now you know. (Side note: I thought I was the only person who buys dog stuff at Walgreens, but the other day I was in line behind a very attractive police officer, and I creepily checked out what he was buying: DOG TREATS. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE.) 3) They have a red box. And the check out people are really nice (These are separate things but I'll put them under one number because I don't feel like elaborating). ....Well there you go, the longest and most unnecessary review for any Walgreens, ever! Sometimes I think I should stop being a lazy driver and go to CVS across the street, but then I get stuck at the damn light, plus we all know Walgreens is more... exciting. Yep that's the word. Go somewhere else if you can. This pharmacy lied to me and withheld my medication for no reason. They had my prescription filled, packaged, and labeled with my name & GoodRx price on Wednesday November 16. At 1:46pm that day I received a notification saying there was an issue with my insurance (I don't have an active health insurance plan right now), but when I called they said the medication was out of stock. "Call us tomorrow." I called back the next day, Thursday November 17, was repeatedly put on hold for 20 minutes, and then the pharmacy tech said she didn't have anything with my name on it. I insisted that my doctor had sent it in yesterday, and mentioned the incorrect notification I received. Suddenly she had my prescription, but claimed the medication was out of stock. "We should be able to fill it tomorrow, but there's no guarantee." I waited until the pharmacy opened at 9am this morning to call, and the tech who answered mumbled something about the medication being on backorder before stepping away from the phone. When she returned, she said "we'll have it ready for you by 11." An hour later I received a notification saying it was ready, so I drove to the pharmacy and waited in line to pick up. Upon receiving my meds I looked at the time stamp that shows when the prescription was filled: Wednesday November 16 at 2:30pm. So basically there was "no guarantee" the pharmacy would be able to sell me my prescription that had already been packaged and waiting while I was without medication. Updating my review to reflect the issues I have at the pharmacy. Every time I bring the rx for a med I've been on for a long time, there's problems processing it. Not insurance related either. Just always gets rejected. No issues at cvs or publix so wth? They hung up on my insurance company when they calls Wags back to resolve the issues. That's a deal breaker. Walgreens is OK. However, I notice they have a better selection on certain things that I am looking for. Oh and I just LOVE their Mahogany and Between You and Me card collection. It is conveniently located close by me. However, I haven't used their pharmacy in a while. I switched to CVS because when you call to speak with a pharmacist or someone in the pharmacy, you're routed to a call center first and have to give your whole life story before you're transferred to someone in the store. That annoys me. I don't have that issue with CVS. read more

Like most Walgreens you can find just about anything here. The problem with this store is the location right on the corner of 56th and Busch so it's a pain in the arse getting in and out of it. If you have driven on 56th you know the problem hardly any left turns and you can't do u turns in this part of 56th. read more

The employees at this Walgreens are rude and disrespectful. I have attempted numerous time to retrieve photos of myself that my sister took but they refuse to release them because of "Copyright Law." They claim the images are of too high quality. This policy is bogus and every employee was confrontational and aggressive in keeping me from purchasing my own photographs. They make up stories concerning their register to "certain" ethnicity (i.e. saying they can not load funds unto a Green Dot Money Pak, when clearly the register is fine). If you stick around for just a few, you'll see someone of a different demographic try to load a Green Dot Money Pak, & lo and behold the register works. Try it, & see for yourself! read more
