Wesleyan and Diamond Springs. I have to say ever since they went away from the 24x7 format, Walgreen's service has gone downhill. Had my script go in Thursday am, 1 was ready that afternoon, the other was "In Process" finally, waited 1 day, hoping it would come in so I would have 1 trip. Nope, so forced to get the one I ran out of. They said computers down Friday, website still said "processing", I got desperate in pain, itching and I called Sunday, and it was still not ready and the pharmacist said it'll be ready Tuesday. I told the pharmacist, I have hives over 80% of my body and I need the meds, transfer the script somewhere else I can get it then. He relented and said it would be ready in1 hour. What kind of Fv*k3ry is this? This is not customer service, this is incompetence and served with zero empathy. read more

Walgreens 856 S. Military Hwy, VA Beach VA Today 7-31-2025. A customer had a medical emergency and bleeding. The lead Pharmacists jumped into action to render aid while an Ambulance was called. Initially the scene was loud, panic and chaos but the Pharmacists used his medical training and calm demeanor to take charge and calm things down. I am proud of the Pharmacists actions along with the Pharmacists employees and store employees for their quick action and polite professional demeanor dealing with irate customers who were unaware of the cause of the pharmacy delay. Tremendous job by all of them and especially that head Pharmacists. read more

My husband and I left the ER at 2am with the flu. I googled the pharmacy operating hours for this location which said 7am-10am. WRONG! I set an alarm, broke my sleep in 35° weather SICK AS H€LL to get our prescriptions just to see a sign that says the pharmacy is open from 9am-8pm. So, I went home to sleep for a couple of more hour. Set an alarm to be the first at the drive thru window. At 9am they are turning on the lights, taking down the "closed" sign. I let them know I was picking up and I was informed that it'll be another 30 min until the script was ready. The two young ladies were both polite employees, but 1) UPDATE THE HOURS ON GOOGLE! 2) post the opening hours for 9:30am instead of 9am if it takes 30 minutes before they can assist customers. read more

Before I begin this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on my opinion and my opinion alone so with that being said let's go!. I found this location to be close by my work area,so at lunch I decided to swing by and drop my merchandise i ordered on line from UA. It was a smooth transition with little to no effort! The reason I'm taken away one star is the fact that I waited at the fed ex / photo / print desk for about 5 minutes before I decided it would be best for me to locate a store associate to assist me. read more

I am more of a Walgreens customer than any other pharmacy. This is a location I rarely go to, but over the years out of necessity have picked up a prescription. A few months ago when my daughter got the flu my neighborhood pharmacy was out of Tamiflu. They confirmed I could pick up on Wesleyan. I went to the drive up and a nice woman took care of filling my prescription. It was a smooth transaction. With no experience inside for years I can't speak for the store. The hours are better than others until midnight. A 3.5 rounding down. read more

Not sure what has happened to this pharmacy. Due to back up in drive thru I went inside to pick up a prescription. I had gotten a message that it was ready. Behind the counter looked like a bomb had gone off, prescription bags piled up everywhere and I mean everywhere. Not surprising they had a hard time locating mine. This is not the first time this has happened to me. They appear to also have a shortage of people. These meds are a lifeline for some and you would think they would take this responsibly seriously. Good for a fast stop to get items that is needed. Opens early and closes late. Good place to go for meds.

It's conveniently located for me. Tuesdays are military discount day with an ID. It's fairly pricey but if you become a rewards member you can accrue points and later redeem them for cash off your purchase in conjunction with your military discount on Tuesdays. I am now starting to purchase other things here rather than other places although I'm sure you can find them for a lesser price at Wal- mart. I stopped by to purchase some box hair dye. I'm getting tired of burning $45 plus to color my hair so I'll see how it goes ‍. $10 versus $45+ ? It's a no brainer unless something horribly goes wrong. Keeping my fingers crossed. Also I switched from using IT cosmetics eyeliner to L'Oréal's to save me half the price. read more

I have yet to visit the inside of this location because I used the drive thru pharmacy but my experience there was so pleasant that I had to write a review and give praise. I recently moved to this area of Hampton Roads so I transferred a prescription to be picked up at this location. Side note: I recommend the walgreens app for presscriptions and to get easy access to sale ads and coupons at your finger tips! Anyways, I ised the drive thru and the employee helping was Shelly. She rang me up and mentioned that my insurance would cover a three month supply (with no change in price) if I wanted to do that instead of picking up every month. I was shocked because I have been getting this prescription at Walgreens for years and no one has ever offered that! Thank you so much Shelly for going above and beyond to make the customer happy. Definitely a friendly face in the pharmacy to look out for. read more

Do yourself a huge favor and just drive the extra couple miles to a different store.Stay away from this place. Go to farm fresh or another Walgreens. Every single day they have issues. I've been handed controlled substances (that weren't mine) handed to me at the drive through - didn't realize it until after I got home (after having to drive up there 3 times because they will not answer phone). This was after the person asked for my ID TWICE because my first form (military ID wasn't good enough). When I try to call in a refill & have to speak to someone, not only do they not answer the phone (which I would understand due to being busy) but they actively pick up the phone and HANG UP ON customers. Just to have a 1 minute conversation, you have to drive there, THEN fill the prescription, then drive back to pick it up. THEN when you get home, it may not even be YOUR MEDICATION. Total cluster-f***. Horrible experience. Do not go to this store. I've never seen a Walgreens pharmacy this screwed up. read more

This is my go-to drugstore and Walgreens location. Pharmacy: I come here for my prescriptions and Walgreens as a company makes it incredibly easy. I have the app and I can also text the number when I need refills so I don't have to deal with coming in and asking then waiting. You can also prepay online before you come through so all you have to do is scan the bar code that generates when you prepay and you're good to go. The staff is very helpful. I wouldn't say the drive thru is any faster than coming inside. They're pretty equal in wait time. But if you're just coming for your prescription and you look a hot mess, it's a great way to avoid being seen by the general public... Not that I ever do that or anything. Photo: They do a great job with prints and just like with the pharmacy, you can do a lot online so things are ready for you when you come in. The quality is surprisingly good. They do a whole range of photo things ranging from regular prints to canvas pictures. If ever you are dissatisfied with the way your product has come out, they are always very agreeable about redoing it. That has rarely been a necessity for me but when it has happened, I know it's jusy a fluke and not a regular occurrence. Also the prices are very fair. Store: Everything is usually very well stocked. I love coming here for random household necessities rather than trying to get in and out of Walmart without buying 7000 more items than I need, fighting my way through the families that take up the entire walkways, and the long lines. I can almost always find what I need here whether it's my vitamins, a new dustpan, ice cream travel necessities, and even coolers. They also generally have a large selection of seasonal products. As of this review, they have a massive selection of Easter items for those last minute people or people that just don't want to go to a big box store. I did have to take off one star for inconsistent employee performance. A small number of employees have a bit of an attitude and have gotten snippy with me. I came right before the pharmacy closed (I know I should have come earlier but with my work schedule it wasn't feasible) and I think a supervisor or assistant manager (one of the people with the gray vests that handles money) rolled her eyes at me and said I better run - I was across the aisle from the pharmacy. As a regular here, I have a friendly rapport with a lot of employees here, but I've never connected with this employee in particular and it was clear she wasn't joking and I found the entire thing unprofessional and downright rude. But there are definitely tons of other employees there that are nice as can be and make me feel welcome. read more

I had the most amazing experience today at this pharmacy. I tested positive for covid a few days ago & my doctor prescribed a new anti-viral drug for which is only available in a few locations. I called and made contact with the pharmacist, who checked to make sure it was in stock. When I called back & my prescription had not been sent yet, Logan called my doctor's ofc. Then, Logan called me back at home to let me know the prescriptions had been filled and asked if I had any questions about how to use the medications. What wonderful customer service! Every time I go here after work to pick up small miscellaneous items like bathroom stuff, I get stuck in a long line. The reason for this appears that a single customer is talking about something on the receipt and something has to be changed. The line builds up and people are just standing there waiting. I say avoid coming here if you are in a hurry. Just go to food lion or the 7-11 across the streets for quick things. read more

I needed to switch my prescriptions here because my prior pharmacy was out of the way since moving. I was expecting some awful ordeal based on the review by Tiffany and was prepared to deal with some A-hole when walking up to the counter. But to my surprise and happiness I was greeted rather quickly and politely by a gentleman who answered all my questions about transferring my script and even helped me set up my balance rewards card. When I got a call a few hours later he told me there would be a delay in filing my order because my prior pharmacy has already filled the order and my insurance wouldn't cover it. I explained I really needed them filled as soon as possible and he said he would take care of it. Another couple hours later and my scripts were ready with no problem. I showed up about 5 minutes prior to them closing but the girls working that night were friendly and did not rush the process even though they had clearly started to close up shop.
