We hired Walil to take real estate photos for our property, and the agreed-upon price was clearly stated on your invoice which we paid with an additional tip. After delivering the photos and accepting payment, you contacted us requesting additional compensation. When we refused he contacted real estate platforms and claimed that the photographs are copyrighted and cannot be used. Be careful of this scam artist has he will try to strong arm you for more money. Just look at other reviews from other customers it appears he pulled the same scam on others. This photographer is rude af! I sent Him a text letting him know that i purchased his services and he took 6 hours to respond. He sent me an email and i filled out the information and he told me when i find Out a date and time and location to let him know. I gave Him my availability but i was Confused as to where location would be because i didnt Know he didn't have a studio. So i asked Him to call me and he said ask Groupon for a refund! I met Mr. Archer recently at a Lupus Fashion Show. One of the models wore my client's product on the runway. I approached Mr. Archer about getting the photo. He found the photo told me the photo number and instructed me to send him a text with my name, photo number, and email. Payment was NOT discussed! I followed Mr. Archers' instructions immediately on Saturday May 25 at 7:41pm. I had never met nor seen his work so this was a big risk! The following Sunday May 27 I re-sent the information. He did respond by letting me know we were on his list. The following Tuesday, May 28 at 8:55 am Mr. Archer texted that he was working on the photo. He then mentioned rating him but I did not receive this link because he sent it through an Android link and I have IPhone. The following Wednesday May 29, I inquired about the photo under the assumption it was done after he said he was working on the photo. He responded by saying he had paying customers he wanted to get to first but he could send it if we paid him. This was confusing because he NEVER discussed payment when we first approached him and again I assumed the photo was finished. However based on his language, if he could send it after the payment then the photo was finished. I did apologize to Mr. Archer for assuming the photo was finished. He asked did we rate him or could we cash app him 10 dollars! After speaking with my client, we decided to go another route and ceased communication. At this point, I felt Mr. Archer was not conducting a fair business and was withholding an item for payment that was never discussed. On Monday June 3 at 8:19 pm. Mr. Archer reached out informing me the photo was ready. I let him know we were ready to rate the photo once we received it. He responded by saying that since he was not charging for the photo he was asking for ratings instead but found that once he sent them they were not rating him. I asked him would he like a rating for our experience so far because either way he was getting a rating. As a business I understand how ratings can impact your business but I'm also aware of conducting business fairly. He responded by reiterating the ratings for photo exchange instead of saying "no payment no picture" In photography this is a fair statement, as your service is what funds your business. I let Mr. Archer know that I understood, reminded him that payment nor rating was discussed when I approached him about the photo. I told him I was ready to rate his customer service, work and quality of the photo. At this point Mr. Archer had made it very difficult and COMPLETELY changed the deal. I let him know if he sent the photo great because we were going to rate him either way. He responded don't worry about it and have a great night. I asked him "so no photo?" and received no response. This experience was very disappointing. It was Mr. Archers' choice to not discuss payment upfront. It was also disappointing that he wanted me to unfairly rate a photo I had not received. In photography, the quality of the photo can really impact how a product or shot is portrayed. If I rated him and received poor quality, there was no guarantee it could be improved. This could have gone a completely different way and unfortunately Mr. Archer's way of doing business is potentially damaging. He shouldn't allow his poor experience with other clients impact his work with others. I was prepared to rate the photo and give him credit once it was published and posted on IG on my client's business page. read more
