We asked around & then found our guy (Luka). He had the name of tour on paper but wasn't holding it up. We had to wait for lates & pick up non cruisers elsewhere as well.. so a couple of delays. Bus was filled - every seat, & he did an info session in broken English, so we got over half the story. We had a few other tours in 3 other countries w/ excellent English speakers. The tour took us to Pompeii but first we had a detour through an art gallery to "visit restrooms" but really it was a sales pitch for their jewelry/art. The tour was w/ a different guide, thomaso, who was good but a bit of language barrier. It was about 2 hrs guided. Then we wasted about 30 mins waiting for restroom/snack break before walking to bus for our lunch stop. We ate at Kona restaurant about halfway up the volcano with I'm amazing view. We were told a light lunch which turned surprisingly into a huge 6 course meal. Included a drink, bread, a four appetizer sampler, slice of pizza, a bowl of pasta, and a piece of cake. All the food was real good and the servers were nice... But it did take well over an hour to eat. We finished up the rest of the way to the top of the volcano. It was a pretty serious hike from the parking area to the rim. It was self-guided with no tour guide. There were gift shops & food at the top as well!! But once you get to the top, the panoramas were insane and the inside view was cool. We agreed as a group to cut the mountain visit an hour short so we can get back to the port by 4 PM still, since long lunch and our other delays pushed the whole tour off schedule. The overall tour was pretty good, the bus was nice and the three stops were great. it could be a little better organized/ arranged to speed things up. Also if the guides' English was better that would've helped to make it 5 stars.

Our archeologist tour guide Lello educated us with everything we needed to know, so when the tour was done, my partner and I could navigate around the ruins with ease and soak in the must see spots we couldn't get to in the tour, with the knowledge Lello gifted us, that really helped with appreciating what we were looking at and where we we standing. That this tour, "Secrets Walks of Sorrento, Street food by Locals", covered almost the exact same route that I'd taken in my self-guided city exploration and it was still immensely enjoyable says a lot about the value of their offering. I'd anticipated being amongst a large group on this tour but quickly learned that the group is intentionally small. My 2-person party plus our guide, Vincenzo, were the only participants and Vincenzo said that was by design. Once I'd signed us up, the tour was closed to others. This made it easy to engage directly with Vincenzo who proved to be a first-class guide. While walking the streets he kept running into people who'd gone on other tours with him outside Sorrento, and people who knew him as a friend. I definitely felt I was in the best of hands, with a real local. Included in Vincenzo's tour were stops for what was described as the best coffee, the best gelato, and the best limoncello in town. The cost of these (full-sized) tastings were absorbed by Vincenzo making the tour a really nice value proposition (49 euro per person). Running about 3 hours, the tour was also perfect in length. As much as I enjoyed this tour I particularly enjoyed being exposed to this tour group. It's clear that they hire skilled, interesting guides and knowing this, I'd not hesitate to book any of their other tours were I ever traveling through the area again. Though they're not represented on yelp - until now - they have a 5-dot average (the highest rating) and 200+ reviews on Tripadvisor, where I booked this walking tour. If you're looking for a guide through Pompeii, Vesuvius, Capri, Sorrento, or more, I'd not hesitate to hire Tour Guide Naples for the job.

This service could be 5+ stars but they lose it in the details. I'll give it four because I loved the view and overall it was a fun experience. Now, onto the details that could be improved. Our boat captain seemed pretty disinterested most of the time, occasionally pointing out sights but we had to ask him for information most of the time. He spent a lot of time on his phone, occasionally driving too fast over the waves, we actually got completely soaked at one point. We also never got the advertised and promised homemade limoncello, which was kind of disappointing. Despite missing out on the finer details, it was a beautiful ride around Capri.

The experience was about 3 minutes inside the cave. The bulk of the time was standing in line, then sitting in the cramped boat trying to get in and out of the cave due to the traffic jam. After two hours & being nowhere near close to the front of the line, the majority of people on our. tour had to head back on another boat without seeing the Grotto, or we would've missed our ferry tickets, not to mention, the boat was only partially covered - people were in direct & very hot sun for the entire time waiting. No water served on boat. Even the waiting process before boarding the boat was a mess - very disorganized.

She was very accommodating and, as part of this discussion, we relayed that we would be coming to Sorrento from Rome. As part of this discussion, because we had a large group of eight, we figured out that it would be cheaper and a lot easier, to book them as a car service from Rome to Sorrento. So, we ended up using them for both the car service and the tour. During this process, or arrival date, departure date, and total number of persons changed a few times. Luisa was non-plussed and accommodated each change easily. Great Service! We were assigned Luigi Iaccarino as our driver from Rome. He is a very entertaining man! As we were looking to go to Pompeii from Sorrento, he suggested that we stop on the way, as there would be a break in the weather and it would save us about three hours round trip from Sorrento. We chose to do this and it only cost us an extra 10 Euros a piece for two hours at Pompeii. It ended up working out perfectly, and Luigi waited for us and was right where he said he would meet us, right on time. During the ride from Rome to Sorrento, he also frequently advised us of possible rest stops, points of interest, and possible places to stop to shop for local products, (yum limoncello!) I think Luigi enjoyed our company, because he ended up being our driver the next day for our tour. Again, it was a great drive filled with perfect anecdotes and recommendations for stops. He went the extra mile, (should I say kilometer?,) and took us different ways that were less direct but had better views and stops. He was also very warm and open about his life, talking about his parents, where he grew up, his time in the US where he worked in the shipping industry, the death of his brother-in-law that made his wife ask him to leave that business, and his wife and children. He even drove us by his family's little market store near Sorrento and honked at his wife! Both Luisa and Luigi were a joy to work with and, if you do get Luigi as a driver, be sure to ask him why his nickname and his market is "Mezzanotte".
